OTTER PUP-DATE! Our pups are a month-old today and were recently weighed! 
Weighing our youngest animals’ means being super quick to make sure weights can be taken while mum has left the nestbox and is out foraging for food. Our carnivore keepers took this opportunity to check that our otter pups were growing as they should and as you can see they weigh a healthy 384 – 462 grams each.

🚨 Posting this not only to motivate all of you but to motivate and remind myself all that I have accomplished.

One thing I used to constantly do was feel sorry for myself. I used to make excuses about everything just to hide my insecurities. Yesterday I found myself going back to those old ways.
.
I had my annual physical yesterday which let’s be real... no one enjoys. Fun fact, I was dreading being weighed. I used to weigh myself weekly when I was consistently trying to loose weight. I got to a very great point in my life and haven’t weighed myself in MONTHS. I know im not at my lowest and I am always transparent with you and ya I am not happy about it.

Fun fact: I am 20 pounds up from my lowest. I let that ruin my day yesterday, I let that ruin my workout this morning. For what? What good is it just feeling bad for myself? Nothing!!!! 20 pounds ya that’s a lot but I feel great, I am strong, and I am happy. I know I haven’t been eating the best I could and hey that’s OKAY. I do know that when I eat better I feel better. I haven’t been taking care of myself like I know I should be, but going to my physical has now just freaken motivated me that much more.

This side by side shows so much more than weighloss. A journey isn’t a journey without challenges and man am I ready for a good challenge. I’m ready to push myself and take care of myself, and do things I might never thought were possible. Remind yourself that you are human and you are allowed to struggle, it’s simply what you do to get over those struggles that will define you. I can’t emphasize this enough: positive mindset is the 🔑 We GOT this 💪🏻👏🏻

Let’s discuss.

1 & 2) You Ate a Fistful of Carbs And/or Salty Foods...in which case your body is put under a dark spell cast by an evil witch or wizard. Then your body soaks up excess water and holds onto it so when you step on the scale you weigh more than usual. It’s not fat. Just excess water. Once the spell is gone your weight will drop back to normal.

3) You Ate Later Than Usual...this isn’t magic of any sort. This is literally just you eating later at night so when you weigh-in you have more food in your stomach so you weigh more than usual. Again, it's not fat - just stomach content.

4) You Weighed Yourself Earlier Than Usual...which also means you had less time to digest the food you ate the night before so, again, you weigh more simply because of more food in your stomach. This isn’t magic either. Just muggle logic.

5) You Need to Drop a Dookie...which is more common than most muggles think. Sometimes you're all backed up and you really just need to crank one out. It might seem like dark magic at play but not pooping will affect your weight. Also, apples are “nature’s broom,” as Mad Eye Moody once told me.

6) You're Stressed...and when you're stressed your body holds onto water weight which can make you bloated and heavier. This is one reason why women often gain weight (not fat) on their period - they get bloated which affects the scale. Keeping in mind...this is NOT fat. Just water weight.

7) You Lifted Heavy Yesterday...and when your muscles are repairing they "soak up" water and  glycogen and horcruxes to recover so they basically act like a sponge. And, as you know, a soaked sponge weighs much more than a dry sponge. So, again, weight...not fat.

Na wenn das nicht ein schönes Ergebnis für mich ist 💪🏻
Jedoch möchte ich darauf hinweisen das es nicht bei jedem solche hohen Abnahmen geben kann und auch bei mir, ist dies nicht jede Woche der Fall! Ich nehme das Monatsergebnis und teile das durch die Wochen um einen Schnitt zu bekommen. Das ist viel sinnvoller als sich dann verrückt zu machen wenn sich ein + eingeschlichen hat 😆 denn eins kann ich euch versprechen ,auf eurem Abnehmweg ,wird das auf kurz oder lang passieren.
🤷🏼‍♀️ Der Körper ist keine Maschine und wenn man mal ganz ehrlich zu sich selber ist , wird man nicht stark übergewichtig innerhalb kürzester Zeit 🙄 sowas frisst man sich über einen längeren Zeitraum an. Hopefully I get the job I applied to. I’ve already had an interview and now all I have to do is pass a background check and drug test. I know I’ll pass both but I’m still worried that something will happen so I don’t get the job. I’m watching Intervention right now, my room is a disaster so I have to clean it tomorrow before I go to school. . ♡ picture is not me ♡

I made keto cauliflower “mac & cheese” 🧀 and baked it in the air fryer! 🔥 It was super easy, quick, and delicious! I just kind of eyeballed everything: I microwaved a serving of frozen cauliflower, then put butter in a small saucepan 🧈, added cauliflower, shredded sharp white cheddar, shredded mild cheddar, about 1/4 cup of sour cream, 1/4 cup of milk, salt, and pepper. I cooked everything on the stovetop until incorporated and then dumped it all into a ceramic dish, topped it with more mild cheddar and then baked it in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 350 degrees! 😋👌🏻

I do my homework there but I avoid bringing money because I usually end up buying something when I do. We had a test last week and I’m glad I passed. ♡ picture is not me ♡

I have school tomorrow morning. I’m currently in college getting my CNA. They have a cafeteria there where the culinary students make food for everyone. I do my homework there but I avoid bringing money because I usually end up buying something when I do. We had a test last week and I’m glad I passed. ♡ picture is not me ♡

Salutare, sostanzioso e nutriente.
Ho usato 40 gr di fiocchi di avena misti a frutta disidratata, 100 ml di acqua e 100 ml di latte sz lattosio. Ho cotto gli ingredienti in un padellino antiaderente ed alla fine ho aggiunto un cucchiaino di #wheyprotein di @prozisitalia. Stamattina ho ricoperto il tutto con uno strato di #Skyr avena e noci e delle rondelle di #banane 😋🤍🥧

I had to block mom. And dad.
She was overly critical of my eating habits and weight. Both well, meaning think my weight is everything when I already and continue to lose weight. I have it. I am 30. I don't need parenting anymore.

I don't even feel like eating.  Already feel like shit and the fact she isn't supportive of my wish to have kids... I didn't invite her to my high risk pregnancy doctor appointment and instead got my aunt, whom is like a mother to me due to the fact she is supportive and still knows how to sensibly give constructive criticism. Mom doesn't. 
I love her and understand but things are better now with Jose and I.
She may not understand it but she has hurt me a lot and even trying to tell us is hard without it being blamed on me and her the victim. 
I have to clean out my friends list and get rid of the spies. 
My aunt is my mom.
My earliest memory is me afraid to go back home because my mom was abusive physical and emotional.

Tonight’s @bargainboxnz ! Crispy Southern Chicken Drums. I don’t eat meat on the bone so that really put me off, but omggggggg that corn and potato. Coleslaw isn’t my thing either. Today has not been a healthy day for me. I’ve really struggled mentally. I’d gained weight on the scales this morning so just self sabotaged the rest of the day. Had spring rolls for lunch (only food I’d eat at an Asian restaurant), sampled my kids ice creams earlier and tonight mostly ate corn and potato. Feeling quite the failure at the moment.

So when I had my bloodwork done last week, most of my levels were low but my worst was my iron. My doctors mentioned possibly needing inpatient hospitalization depending on my bloodwork as well as my weight. Both were concerning but we are trying to see if taking supplements or something helps increase my levels but I know that it’s not going to change my inability to tolerate food (not ED related). I’ve been taking the pills and will have another blood draw next week (probably Monday), and discuss it with my pcp’s PA on Wednesday - that is if I don’t get sent inpatient by psychiatry on Friday but if they think I need inpatient at that point, then I will probably have to go. Unfortunately I think I’ll end up there on Friday. I’m worried because I’m nannying on Friday and Saturday then a few shifts next week and hate to cancel on the families plus don’t want to explain (although one of the families knows I have some health condition that sometimes I need medical attention for but no more than that. And I’m sure all my families would understand if I just said I was in the hospital). I’m also kind of worried that I won’t get hospitalized by next Wednesday because I honestly feel so miserable that I know it will be needed but I’m trying to deny it I think. How do you get rid of the guilt of possibly having to leave a job suddenly and maybe not have it there when you return? How do you make the decision that you know you need more treatment but don’t want to go. My symptoms aren’t caused by my ED (not intentional) but trigger my ED in the terms of I am very close to my “goal weight” for my eating disorder and it triggers negative body image thoughts? I honestly don’t know what to do, I’d like to make it to my appointment next week but then I’ll keep just pushing off hospitalization. I know that I need medical stabilization and that there’s never a “good” time to go inpatient but I’m just afraid it will still be the “wrong” time.
