It's the middle of January (STILL) and I'm noticing some tapering off in the gym this week.

The mornings aren't quite as jam packed ‪at 5am‬ and the midmorning rush just isn't as loud.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT I'm also noticing some new faces sticking with it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I just wanted to say...hell yes. Consider me your personal cheerleader. When people roll their eyes and say "yeah but those people will be gone in February", my response is, "I hope not". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know it sucks. I know that you're sacrificing some social evenings or an extra thirty minutes of sleep to get in and get it done some days.  And I know in the moment it's heavy or your lungs burn or it's hard but...stick with it.  Keep showing up, and be proud.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cuz I am! And I want to help. Ask me to show you a movement or look at your form. Ask me what you should eat when you're done. Ask me how to stretch or warmup (just don't ask me how to work the TVs on the machines I DON'T KNOW). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Flourless Muffins ✨

Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1 cup nut butter
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp vanilla extract 
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup dark chocolate chips
4 tbsp chia seeds
Cacao powder sprinkled on top

Directions:
Mash ripe bananas and add in wet ingredients. Mix well then fold in chocolate chips. Spray muffin tin and fill halfway. Add extra chips on top with a sprinkle of cacao. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 mins!

Agility ladder is something I have always done as an athlete, but never knew why. Sure, it’s a great cardio workout, but how is it going to benefit me? Well, I’m glad I asked! 😝

INCREASED CARDIOVASCULAR PERFORMANCE
-Using the agility ladder is going to improve cardio endurance, thus leading to greater heart health.
BALANCE AND COORDINATION
-Agility ladder patterns often demand a quick change in direction at a rapid pace. Balance and coordination are essential for this skill.
MIND-BODY CONNECTION
-Utilizing a ladder can also help you become smarter. Yep, SMARTER! This is because your brain, when doing a new activity, is forced to make new pathways of which to send signals to your body (called neuroplasticity). This is similar to when you play brain games, do crossword puzzles, or play chess. The brain fires electrical signals down pathways (some old, some new) in order to complete the process. Studies have shown that people who engage in activities that utilize neuroplasticity have longer attention spans, sharper memories, and found learning new material much easier.
