Сегодня, 5 апреля, мог бы пройти забег «Апрель», но что-то прошло не так...

Мне посчастливилось бежать «Апрель» только один раз в 2017 году.  То я упускала время продажи слотов, то просто не складывалось.🤷🏻‍♀️

Помню, что в тот день  стояла морозная солнечная погода. Как всегда организаторы @moscowmarathon устроили потрясающий праздник, а я была опьянена от предвкушения предстоящих забегов.

Действительно, «Апрель» открыл нереально насыщенный беговой сезон, в котором я пробежала марафон, обновила личники на десятке и половинке, приняла участие в эстафете..💪🏼

Я очень надеюсь, что в этом году апрель это лишь начало, лишь разгон перед предстоящими большими победами. И всё у всех будет хорошо.🙏🏼

Я очень надеюсь, что в этом году апрель это лишь начало, лишь разгон перед предстоящими большими победами. И всё у всех будет хорошо.🙏🏼

Unter Einhaltung des gesetzlich angeordneten Corona-Mindestabstands ging es heute mal in eine ganz andere Richtung als üblich! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ich stand quasi schon in den Startlöchern weil wegen früh los und so, da erreichte mich ein Hilferuf aus Dortmund der in etwa so klang „keine Ahnung, warum ich heute so unmotiviert bin, ...“ etc., etc., etc.! 🤭😜⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hilfsbereit wie ich also bin, habe ich gewartet und @ias80_runs konnte sich an meine Fersen hängen! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dabei ging’s bei bestem Wetter mal in Richtung Landschaftspark. Das Risiko an der Regattabahn auf immens große Spaziergängergruppen zu treffen war mir einfach zu hoch! 😅 Und tatsächlich, es war heute verhältnismäßig wenig Slalom! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Was wir glaub ich beide net so aufm Schirm hatten war die Temperatur! 😅 Bisschen bei den Getränken verzockt. Zum Glück gibts Tankstellen und Kontaktloszahlungen! 🤓 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mit 23 km im Schlepptau ist @ias80_runs danach direkt wieder abgezogen. Man munkelt es seien 22 mehr, als sie in Dortmund gelaufen wäre! 🤭🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Und by the way waren es auch zwei mehr als es heute in Berlin gewesen wären! 🐻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Und damit geht’s für mich auf die Couch. Haus des Geldes und das Abendessen rufen schon! 🍕🏦 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Eine wunderschöne Tag war , ich bin so froh das immer gesund bin und kann mindest macht was macht mich glücklich,  obwohl muss ich allein das alles machen und wo kein Mensch ist, aber das mir momentan egal , lieber so als überhaupt nicht. 
Toto obdobie je pre mna extremne ťažké,  kedže nemôžem ani domov ist, a bohvie kedy Budem môcť😪 pre to som šťastná, ze si môžem zabehat ze pocasie je uplne Top Top a moje starosti a smútok na chvýlku pozabudnem .

Eine wunderschöne Tag war , ich bin so froh das immer gesund bin und kann mindest macht was macht mich glücklich, obwohl muss ich allein das alles machen und wo kein Mensch ist, aber das mir momentan egal , lieber so als überhaupt nicht.

I’m absolutely in love with sourdough toast🤩 It’s just so good and u can put anything on it and it makes me happyyyy 🥺 Today’s combo was avo w/ pink salt and @traderjoes EBTB seasoning as well as 2 scrambled eggs to get that protein. Took yesterday off because of my hip, but hoping to do a little 30 minute run today and not feel it :) Hope everyone is doing ok in quarantine 💝

WEEKLY MEAL PREP ✅
What am I thankful for? I've been able to spend the most time with my son & husband since my maternity leave. As a mom, there's a lot of guilt that comes with working & coaching. I am constantly thinking of what I'm missing, and now that he's walking, the rate of change has multiplied exponentially!
In 2 months, he went from crawling, eating mostly pureed food & milk, and his only words were "Mama" & "Dada"...
NOW, he walks non-stop, eats tons of solids but especially loves any CARBS, and lets us know when he's "all done" or spots a "buddy" (he means "doggy" but close enough. He's consistent & that's key! Ahaha).
So trying to stay positive at a strange and ominous time. What are you thankful for?!

Breakfast: Cereal or oatmeal or eggs with toast & fruit (not pictured because making it fresh each day)
Lunch: Garlic herb stuffed porkchops with stir fried vegetables & brown rice
Dinner: Lemon & garlic roasted chicken with steamed greens
Snacks: Fruit, Greek yogurt or RxBar (not pictured)

Completed the Virtual Cherry Blossom 10 miler this morning, a feat I NEVER saw coming.

I suffered a knee injury from running on February 22, and I’ve struggled to run more than 3-4 miles without sharp pain bringing me to a legit halt.  I had a half marathon, 2 10-milers, a 10k, and my first half iron on my race calendar (and these were just the ones through May 3). With my injury, I knew there was NO WAY I could make it through any distance races and thought it’d be a season of 5ks (which are actually my fave). In looking at the positives during this pandemic, it’s that these races were all cancelled/postponed.  It would’ve been extremely hard not to race, or race well.

Even after taking a week off (yes, I know I should’ve taken more but #runningaddict), I still was having pain.  On April 1, I made it almost 6 miles before the pain stopped me.  I was thinking I’d go out today and walk/run the CB10M to get to 10 miles and complete the virtual race, but God answered some prayers and I shockingly made it through.  I don’t think I’m fully healed, and I didn’t get a PR, but I couldn’t be happier!

Our second virtual doggie 5k is complete. Only 18 more to go until we earn our medal! The sun was shining, it was 55 degrees out, and we were having fun. We shaved 51 seconds off per mile compared to our 5k from last weekend. I ran in shorts and a T-shirt for the first time this year. That felt really good! Cheers to many more warm days ahead!😎

これは少し前に最後に食べた新福菜館のラーメン。
それ以降は外食してません。
何も外食がダメとは思いませんが、自分が行くのは昼休みが主になる。店は相変わらず満タン。
それはちょっと…と、ワタシは思うようになったので、カップ麺をと思ったが、今、最初に思ったのが「ケンちゃんラーメン」😆
懐かしいなぁ。CMがメチャクチャ好きでした。いつまでも新発売とゆう🤣

Today’s quarantine bake is a sugar cookie medal🥇 I first heard about @nikerunning hosting half marathons in 2014. I was fascinated with their women’s half marathon because instead of a medal you got a Tiffany necklace- so obviously I told myself I’d run the next one. Well 2015 comes around and turns out that they were no longer doing that race. So instead over the last few years I’ve been running other half marathons with @jellybeeney ❤️ Then in December I was notified that @nikelosangeles was hosting a half marathon so I signed up immediately. I began the 15 week training program and followed it religiously. Then with only 4 weeks left to race day... the race was cancelled due to Covid 19. It was heartbreaking. But as @coachbennett says the race is just the celebration, the runs are what matter. So despite the race getting cancelled I competed my training program and went out and ran 13.1miles this afternoon🏃🏼‍♀️👏🏻💪🏻

This photo was taken during my second last round of the 4-4-48 challenge I participated over the weekend (with stats for all of my stats lover friends). What was the challenge exactly? It is a training that consists of running 4 miles (6.4km) every 4 hours for 48hrs (day and night). My first thought, as it probably is for many I know: 6.4 km is no big deal. And it is not. What is though, is the frequency, the every 4hrs. It's the managing every 3:30 ish hours ( the change of clothes, eating, showering, sleeping (or lack there of over 48 hrs), and,  in my case,  making sure the kids were ok, had what they needed and spent time with them). It"s being awaken at 3:45 am by your alarm (I slept in my race clothes to enable more sleep time hihihi) for your 4am run.

Sounds unpleasant... no way! The challenge was posted on FB mid-week by David Bombardier, inviting people to join in with him. 
We ended being approx. 20 people from different regions of Quebec, and although all strangers to me, via Messenger, we were connected. Throughout the whole 48hrs (and beyond) we could count on the "bings" on your cell to start flooding with words of encouragement and motivation. During our 12th and last run (at midnight), we "ran it together" - we did a group call! What an extraordinary experience!

So, why you ask? Well, for one, my "big race of the summer" hasn't (as of yet) been cancelled, so I am still training. Because, I like new challenges, especially now that we are in confinement. But what hooked me was the "raising money for a cause" aspect. Those who know me know that I am a sucker for charities, especially when it comes to food banks (and/or related). It's my thing, my weakness,  my "da da". Whether we realize it or not, and whether we pursue it or not, the human brain is wired to seek purpose. Helping those in need is mine. "Together we are stronger" is what I believe. Does that make me better, no! Our purpose is something personal to each and every one of use (see comment for related article). I don't know how much money collectively was donated, but from what I was told, many many thousands of dollars. I couldn't be more proud!
