Pretty simple strength workout from last night.  I chose a weight that’s not overly heavy, but also not too light.  I made sure the reps were explosive, and kept the reps at 5 or less.  For pulls I did 2 reps, dips were 4 reps, and ab rollouts were also at 2 reps.  With this workout, I’m not trying to exhaust myself, every rep should look the same.  I’ve been seeing great results in my strength since doing my weighted reps with this format.  I’ll take at least 5 minutes rest between sets and will go anywhere from 5-20 sets.  Last night was only 8 sets.  The beauty of this type of workout is that I don’t need days to recover from it and I am set up to train again the next day!

But let's think about "working out." The point is to "BREAK DOWN" old tissue to grow new, stronger tissue. .
If that's the case, we don't need hours, 45 mins, 30 minutes, or even 20 minutes if you think about it.

What if all we need is 15 minutes?😲
.
I mean, sure, if you want to do the old sets x reps format, sure that can work.
.
But how about compounding each move with little to no rest?
Like a chest workout :
.
🔥15 dumbbell presses
.
🔥then push ups until fail
.
🔥then 12 chest flys
.
🔥then 12 forward dips
.
🔥repeat twice
.
Everyone knows the reps that count are the ones that come after the burn, so why not stay in the burning state for most of the workout?💦
.
If done right, the intensity can make up for being short on time and you can finish in 8-15 minutes.
.
Of course don't try this without the proper nutrition. The nutrition plan I follow as well as my friends / clients enable is to push through this intense routines. If you want to know more about it, 📩 me "INFO."

Active rest day. 
I haven’t used these in a while but I’m breaking them back out and being for proactive with active rest days. Indian clubs are great for rehab and prehab. Finished up with some TRX rows and serratus anterior pushups. I’ve had shoulder problems since college so this will all help to maintain stability in my shoulders and prevent injury. •

I haven’t used these in a while but I’m breaking them back out and being for proactive with active rest days. Indian clubs are great for rehab and prehab. Finished up with some TRX rows and serratus anterior pushups. I’ve had shoulder problems since college so this will all help to maintain stability in my shoulders and prevent injury. •

Me and my little brother @matthew_2288 were going through our weekly chest day and I asked him to roll some barbells at me in between sets.

I fatigued pretty quickly cuz we were lifting within the 6 rep range but he said next week he will come to the gym and roll some barbells at me for a couple of hours without making me benchpress 135% of my bodyweight in between sets. 😱

So this week I am gonna abandon all of my basic training and just get on a barbell as much as I can in preparation. ⚡

Hopefully I can hit the clap. 💯
