I think I’m liking quad pumps over delt pumps again 👀 #babydinosaurlegs

I’m feeling pretty exhausted but happy movement is getting back to normal! It’s been hard to balance lifting and recovery and work and home reno, but it’s temporary so I just gotta get through this weird phase. I’m just really excited to get settled into our home next month so that I can focus 100% on lifting instead of dimensions, paint colors, etc. 🙄
Only 95kg for these hang cleans, but I can’t be disappointed since I finally feel like I could manage 110kg or so this weekend😂 excited to do some heavy skwats tomorrow💪🏼

Did you really say DAY?😂 but seriously, let’s talk about our humps...and legs! Depending on the week, I train my lower body 2-3 times. I usually have one “heavy” day, doing less reps with heavy weights, one “light” day, doing more reps with little to no weight, and if I can squeeze in a 3rd day, I listen to my body and it usually turns out to be bomb a$$ (pun intended 😏) workout! Lol. -

Did you really say DAY?😂 but seriously, let’s talk about our humps...and legs! Depending on the week, I train my lower body 2-3 times. I usually have one “heavy” day, doing less reps with heavy weights, one “light” day, doing more reps with little to no weight, and if I can squeeze in a 3rd day, I listen to my body and it usually turns out to be bomb a$$ (pun intended 😏) workout! Lol. -

Before someone says it! I don’t shave my legs 😂 One day my hair fell off and never grew back! 🤷🏼‍♂️ A study was done with patients over 80 years old. The doctor would have the patient sit down on the floor Indian style and then asked the patient to stand up without the use of anything that would assist them standing up. Those that could not stand up on their own had a higher mortality rate within the next 5 to 7 years. Those that could stand up on their own lived another 10 to 12 years. Power movements for the day: double power clean and push press with light 225lbs. Actually did some cardio for a warm up, so it helped with movements today. Definitely need to work on some overhead positions and stability. But can’t complain when a 225lb push press doesn’t feel heavy 🤫

@frankdaddy29 700x2 with zero warm ups

Throwback to the @pete.rubish and @huckfinnbarbell birthday bash a couple of years ago. This was my contribution to the day. Loaded the bar to 700 and pulled it without warming up and natty af. Pete and Tom did a 1005lb bench press/deadlift combo. Alot of people hit some awesome numbers as well. @i.know.squat repped 500 for like 20 some reps on squats until he about died. @sarah.lewis_ demolished a young man's deadlift PR of 500, but coming in cold right behind him and doing it for a double with hook grip. @forsakenwarrior and @c3muscle did my first podcast with these guys. It was a great weekend!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The best thing about having leg day everyday... My quads getting bigger 🦖

Legs and shoulders! My 2 favorite muscle groups! 
Have had some really short workout sessions lately because I've been working on my truck after work so I don't have to ride with the boss to work. Thankfully my parents know my gym obsession and let me use their car. 
2 great exercises: 
1) @sethferoce uses this in one of his leg day videos. Pick a footing position (I like high and close). 10 reps, leave the leg up there for a 30 sec rest (rack the weight), 10 more reps. Killer burn
2) kneeling leg curls. On the eccentric portion of the lift only go about half to 3/4 rep in order to keep tension on the hamstring for the whole ROM.

Grow those tree trunks!

Eating grasshoppers in Thailand - -

For those who don't know I'm one psycho analysis away from an arachnophobia diagnosis lol. Every spot on the wall that looks weird is a spider. When I go to sleep I do a clean sweep of my sleeping quarters. Lol.  Every park bench, every porch, every time I go outside I'm making sure there aren't any around. Typing the word spider is even making me uneasy. I'll probably have dreams tonight now..... To this point, all bugs in general have  made me feel uneasy for a long time. I don't like them. To say this was easy to do is the furthest thing from correct. On the inside I felt more like @itsdouggy 🤣🤣. I just knew I couldn't think about it. - -

If you're gonna conquer your fears then do it in presence of amazing  company. You all made this experience one I'll never forget. - -

P.s. they just tasted like fried batter.... as did the scorpions.
