Contrary to popular belief, you don't necessarily need to change the foods you eat in order to lose / gain weight. To lose weight, you simply need to be in a calorie deficit for a prolonged period of time.

That being said, when your diet consists of foods that are less calorie dense, it makes that fat loss process much easier to sustain.

When it comes to building your fat loss grocery list, choosing food that is generally lower in calories, higher in protein, & higher in fiber + nutrients will yield the best results in terms of your satiety and health.

There are so many quick and EASY ways to make nourishing your body fit into your lifestyle! It’s all about trial and error!

Set that alarm 10 minutes earlier so you can jump out of bed and make breakfast at home. ⏰.
⠀
If you can’t wake up earlier try preparing overnight oats or simply grabbing toast on the go in the morning. 👩🍳.

I know how hard a fresh start can be, so let me help you with one of my favorite smoothies I make:

Creamy Berry Smoothie
⠀
Prep time: 10 minutes
⠀
Yields:
2 servings
⠀
Ingredients
1 avocado
1 cup blueberries
1 cup blackberries

If your primary goal is to build muscle, I'd recommend a majority of your work to be in the 6-12 rep rage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If getting strong is your focus, you need to work more so in the 1-5 rep ranges.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🔥Upper body workouts🔥 by @dancudes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In an upper body workout, we are working the back, the chest, the shoulders, the traps, the arms, and even the core and this can be done in a strength-based workout or a hypertrophy-based workout. Now, I am an advocate of training in all rep ranges so you'll notice that the hypertrophy workout is more moderate in reps such as anywhere between 6-10. The strength workout on the other hand is more low in reps and focuses heavily on a 4-8 rep range though a lot of strength enthusiasts will actually dip lower and hit 3's and 2's for their reps which is awesome. Also notice how in the hypertrophy workout, we make small changes such as using dumbbells for our incline press whereas in the strength workout we are using a barbell. Not that you can't use both for both goals, but I find it is much easier to load a barbell with heavier weight and maintain proper form than using super heavy dumbbells for movements like the incline press and even rows. If you want to train and get all the benefits of it, you have to train in all rep ranges for all goals. I like having a week of strength related work followed by a week of hypertrophy related work as they compliment eachother nicely; the stronger you are, the more volume you can lift in your hypertrophy workouts, a key driver for hypertrophy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

super artificial peanutbutter taste 
texture is super sticky, chewy and dense 
struggled to identify the ‘cookie dough’ element however the bits of peanut was enjoyable
unfortunately the sweetness of this cookie became sickening and I was unable to finish it 
definitely not the best protein cookie I’ve had

📍It all boils down to execution and knowing your body. If executed properly and DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A SHOULDER IMPINGEMENT (SUBACROMIAL IMPINGEMENT), you can use this exercise safely. This exercise is especially useful for olympic lifters when they do a clean which is similar to an upright row.

📍Why The Upright Row Can Cause Impingement
When doing the upright row, your arms are internally rotated and raised above shoulder height which leads to a compromised position for the shoulder. Normally, when you raise your arm overhead, you shoulder naturally will want to go into external rotation to prevent impingement.

📍How to Avoid Impingement
According to the research, your arm will want to go into external rotation at about 60 degrees of arm elevation. Between 70 degrees to 120 degrees of elevation should be avoided so that impingement will not occur. If you happen to have shoulder problems, the higher you raise your arms, the more pain it will cause.

📍Execution
- Pull through the elbows, not through the wrists.
- Go up to or just below 90 degrees (shoulder height with elbows) so long as you don’t experience pain during or after the lift.
