Wie fühlt sich „fit sein“ an? Ohne ein Training laufe ich unrund. 🤷‍♀️ Beim Sport kann ich abschalten, den Kopf frei bekommen. Ich fühle mich danach zwar müde, aber fit. .
Glaubt ihr, dass jeder weiß wie es sich anfühlt „fit“ zu sein? Ich meine viele wissen es nicht & denken, um fit zu sein MUSS man unbedingt Sport betreiben. Für mich bedeutet „fit sein“ aber mehr. Die Optik ist dabei nur Nebensache, wenn wir mal an andere Dinge denken: besser schlafen, mehr Energie, mehr Aktivität, eine bessere Konzentration, weniger Wehwehchen oder ständiges kränkeln usw. Ein fitter Körper ist aber auch nichts, dass man schnell in ein paar Wochen hinbekommt & danach hört man einfach auf & kann sich gehen lassen. .
„Fit sein“ bedeutet Gesundheit & Wohlbefinden - das sollte doch Grund genug sein um eine gesunde Ernährung & dauerhaft ein bisschen Sport in unseren Alltag zu integrieren oder nicht?

ADAPT YOUR STRATEGY! Changes I have made for pm workouts.. longer fasting, more fats and fiber in the AM. Later around the workout, carb back loading and pump/stim free preworkout instead of caffeinated products.

Energy and mood is dramatically decreased but strength and pump is way up having more time to get nutrients into the body before lifting.

Stay flexible fam. Make the meals, lifts and recovery, habits that can withstand changes in both life and motivation.

HOT COCOA PANCAKES 🍫🥞gluten free, vegan, and they pack a protein punch 💪🏻 I had a full blown holiday baking morning 👉 holiday sourdough, holiday cookies, and holiday pancakes... feeling all things peppermint cocoa right now, and I don’t even like chocolate 🤷‍♀️ .

Hot Cocoa protein  Pancakes (GF/V)👇
In a blender mix the following ingredients: - 1 cup (GF) oats
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup applesauce - 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar - 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup - 2 scoops @drinkorgain peppermint hot cocoa  protein powder - 1 tsp vanilla 
Blend until smooth, and let rest for 5ish minutes, it’s going to be thick FYI 
Heat a greased pan (I used @nutiva butter flavored coconut oil, omg) to low-medium heat
4.Use a 1/4 measuring cup to pour batter into the pan; cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 2 minutes or so, then remove lid, flip, cover again, and cook for another 2 min or so. 
I topped with coconut whipped cream, dark chocolate drizzle, and crushed candy cane

Deadlift 220x6 (AMRAP, el celu se quedó sin espacio no se filmó) seguido de Squat 180x3 backoff 140x5x5 después Bench 100x5x5 pausado seguido de Incline 80x5x5... y al final metí un poco de tricep polea 3 sets de 20 y bíceps 3 sets de 10 for the pump.

BURNOUT 🔥 Back when I did 14 classes a week 👀 I love les mills programmes and I love teaching them even more. However, early this year I reached BURNOUT stage. I was juggling my job with my degree, another part time job, my eating disorder (which trust me is a full time job), social life, recovery commitments ie therapy and general day to day adulting like bills and shit... and my love of teaching started to fade because I was tired, mentally and physically.... The post workout window is important for ensuring adequate recovery and so, we want to maximise this window the best we can 🔑

✅ Chilling out - There’s really no need to go and inhale your post workout meal straight away. We want to allow our heart rate to come back down to baseline and get ourselves into a parasympathetic state (basically just not in a stressed state, like what we are in when we train). Allowing ourselves this period of time to chill out, means we’re putting ourselves into a better position to be able to uptake, and digest, our meal. Things like listening to more relaxing music/a podcast etc can help accelerate this process.

✅ Post-Workout meal - I will usually consume my post workout around 45mins-1 hour after I have finished training, as I am now in a more relaxed state and have more of an appetite. This is the meal where I like to see the most amount of carbohydrates consumed in the day - the amount depends on the individuals requirements but for me currently, it’s around 230g of carbs 🐖 I found I personally can’t go any higher than that amount of carbs, as I end up just wanting to go to sleep and feel v lethargic 😴 I’d recommend having more simple, faster digesting, carbohydrates in this window and keep fats low (preferably below 10g - I have done a separate post on this before, which explains why we want to do this) and then of course a protein hit, of at least 25-30g, from a complete source✅
