Quick 10-1 workout before hitting Disneyland! Don’t make working out complicated, especially on vacation. Even 20 min of a workout will set you up for success on vacation. When I exercise, I automatically eat better. (Don’t get me wrong, I still get lots of Disney treats, but it could be a lot worse). •
•
10-1 (10 reps of each, then 9,8,7 all the way to 1)
—-> DB power clean and jerk
—-> American KB swings ——> goblet squat

being out of town looks a lot different for us now

now a majority of my workouts don’t require any equipment 
all I need is my phone to stream my virtual workout class 
Ryan loves his lifting program and our adjustable weights are perfect for having all the weight selections on the go 
we will stay on track with our workouts as we are visiting family for Christmas

Living the #thicc life in my hotel room. The treadmill was taken downstairs so I did some HIIT workouts from Peloton and then some stretching.  I’m on the top floor of my hotel so tried to jump lightly during the HIIT. Spent the last 4 days cramming my head with knowledge to help kiddos with feeding difficulties. And holy moly...talk about information overload! I'm ready to dive back through my notes and start implementing some of these principles in the clinic now that I'm back at home. 
What I definitely remembered during the past 4 days of classroom learning....I am definitely not made for a stationary job where I sit in a chair all day!!! I chase kids around all day for a living...how do I function sitting in a chair for 6-8 hours a day for 4 days straight?! Not very well at all. I was able to squeeze in just 1 run over the weekend between evening festivities and rain showers. I have definitely missed my feet out on the pavement.

We were limited on space and time, but Emery and I got in a 20 minute effective workout before our 4+ hour ride home yesterday. Yes, Emery is still wearing her Christmas PJ’s on, she loves them and this is one battle I am not fighting 🤪 
Trust me this will kick your butt, even if you only have 20 minutes. 
Reverse lunge with front kick 
Up up down down to plank jack 
4 squat squat jumps 
Shoulder taps to mountain climbers
Push-ups. 
Perform each exercise for 30 seconds, complete as many rounds as time allows

being out of town looks a lot different for us now 
I would use being out of town and not having access to a gym as an excuse to avoid working out 
not having access to any equipment was a poor excuse 
now a majority of my workouts don’t require any equipment 
all I need is my phone to stream my virtual workout class 
Ryan loves his lifting program and our adjustable weights are perfect for having all the weight selections on the go 
we will stay on track with our workouts as we are visiting family for Christmas

because we don’t have to worry about getting a guest pass to a gym
