I woke up this morning feeling amazing after a good nights rest. It’s amazing how well not only the body recovers but also the mind when getting sufficient sleep.

Anyways I woke up today reinforcing my SMART goals. Remember your goal should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time Bound

PHYSIQUE UPDATE

3 weeks out from my first of two shows. Been feeling pretty good all prep till maybe a couple of weeks ago.  Cravings here and there, sometimes drained, the usually. But it's not surprising as my bodyfat drops.

Food is still fairly high at 2650 calories a day. Training 6 times a week, 4 of those time I do 30 minutes cardio after my resistance training and 30 minutes on my rest day.

Down 12.2kg so far, I reckon another kilo and I should be good to go.

Super excited to do these shows and showcase the work I've done over the last year 🀞🏽

If you are a beginner you should ideally stick to the main compound movements and focus on getting stronger on them.

They will recruit the most muscle fibres in the shortest amount of time. They will also require more energy than isolation movements and will also aid fat loss (especially with high rep deadlifts and squats). However, remember that with fat loss diet is king.
-
There are obviously some exceptions, one of which is rear deltoid (back of shoulder) and rotator cuff work (muscles that keep upper arm inside it’s socket) as due to lifestyle in the 21st century these muscles go underdeveloped.

As much as people do not want to hear it, going to the gym just to pump out some bicep curls, tricep push downs and side lateral raises will not get you big and toned.
