๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป You can build strength in most rep-ranges, but low reps are more effective for this. Strength is a skill, so if you want to get strong at the bench-press, you should bench often (several variations to avoid over-use injuries) and eat plenty of food (kcal surplus). Get in enoigh volume (sets per week). This is much more important than going "ballz to the wall" every time. Avoid training to failure. Stop 1-3 reps from fail.

The actual process to build muscle is not overly complicated. The most difficult part is being patient and accepting the fact that it takes time.

First, ditch the body part splits. Iโ€™ve discussed this in a ton of posts so Iโ€™m not going to go into much detail in this post but training body parts more often as a natural lifter will yield better results.

Second, commit yourself to staying in a caloric surplus for a minimum of 6 months. Like I said, gaining muscle takes time and if you alternate between bulking and cutting too often you will really be spinning your wheels. I was very guilty of this. At the first sign of some fat gain I wanted to cut. Building muscle requires a caloric surplus and a caloric surplus will yield some fat gain. Accept this, suck it up, and keep your surplus at around 300 calories to keep that fat gain to an absolute minimum.

So ended yesterday with a good push session, not only that I was able to fix my dumbbell after I thought I'd got the connecting bolt stuck.

The exercises listed in the picture focus on all of these muscles and help you perform to the highest standard by developing power in the legs.

Alternate light & heavy workouts, focusing on strength with heavy and speed with light.

Record your jump and analyse what your doing wrong by comparing it to clips of the pros jumping, look at your starting point, where are your hands, how much did you compress before the jump etc.

Wear a weighted vest to increase your jump height by getting used to jumping with weight! Make sure it is a light one to start as we dont want your muscles or joints to over compensate!

For example, in August of this year I was super lean, but because I wanted to add more muscle I went through my first proper bulking phase and gained quite a bit of muscle and fat.
