How is your quarantine going? ⁣⁣

I’ve been utilizing this time to work on building my brand, record YouTube videos, get creative by painting, lots of inner work, and connecting more with loved ones. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We are gifted with a time to slow down and look around us. This is a perfect opportunity for us to launch that project we’ve been putting off, learn new skills, connect with those that we haven’t made time for before, and to really work on the things that pop up for us emotionally.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But what if you’re feeling overwhelmed and struggling right now? That’s okay. I see you. And I hear you. We are collectively going through a trauma together right now. There will be healing that needs to happen both physically and mentally for a lot of us. This is a good time to dig deep into your faith and have love for yourself. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We will get through this and nothing will be the same as it was before. We will be stronger. We will be more patient, more kind, and more loving towards one another. That my friends is a beautiful thing if you ask me. ❤️❤️❤️ ⁣

Follow up to yesterday’s post on vulnerability...which made me realize that I (and none of us) are safe for everyone...

It takes energy and intention to be a safe person. I can without a doubt say that I don’t show up, or follow through for everyone. I don’t always  listen with empathy, sometimes I’m not invested or listening at all. My judgement does show up and I’m critical and harsh. It doesn’t mean I’m a bad person, it means I’ve got some work to do. In fact, this post has made me think of how I may be seeking intimacy from family members and providing no signs that I am safe for them. .
Intimacy and vulnerability is reserved for those who we want to let into our space. It takes practice and we will most definitely be hurt by those who were not deserving. There’s definitely some red flags I will be sharing tomorrow...and also how trauma can interfere and throw off our judgment.

Little bit of a different post but I’m so happy that my skin has finally shown its ability to be clear after all this time.

The only thing that’s changed and this is crazy...it’s not a change in food, or drinks, not a lack of make up, not a new cleanser. I just haven’t touched my face. I have been making such a conscious effort not to touch it since we heard how bad putting your hands near your face can be in the spread of COVID-19.
I can honestly say after countless trips to the doctors over the past year and mountains of different antibiotics, the change needed to come from me.
I spend so much time in the gym picking up different weights, and obviously without realising I touch my face after it. I really am going to make an effort to continually keep my hands away from the face in future 😂🤦🏼‍♀️
Found an old phone to use for now, so will start putting up more content again. Sorry for being so quiet. -

Therapy Friday today and even that was from my bed... Been doing every thing from...my bed lol it’s why it’s a great time to implement a daily routine.

I’m challenging myself to 30 days of a morning ritual (NO EXCUSES) 
1. Wake up at 7am! Turn off alarm - NO SCREEN TIME
2. Drink 2 cups of water
3. Get or make coffee/smoothie/kombucha/tea 
4. Make bed 
5. Guided meditation 
6. 30 minutes of movement (yoga or a walk) 
7. Get ready for my day 
8. Breakfast (with healthy fats) &then I may check social media, email and make phone calls 💘

Try it with me with your own personal morning routine that works best for you! 🌟

Ive really enjoyed this LOCKDOWN! 
Im usually a routinal person, fast paced always go go go type of girl! .
Slowing down has showed me where i want to be in life and whats really important! .
The things you only see when you slow down aye! .
I love doing life without rushing, or being so short of time! One thing im grateful for is this time ive had to be present. .
I still get to work from home! Help others with their health, wealth, upskilling and fashion needs! All from home. Its been awesome having my mahi time at home for 2 hours and then spending the rest of the day with whanau! .
Anywhose, random thoughts and reflections! Im grateful for this time. Yup its a time of uncertainty, pain and CHANGE. But..... its also a time of going inward, healing and CHANGE 😍

I know what i want when this lockdown is over and what i dont want 😍 nothing in my life haa really changed besides no school and no takeaways 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 but its motivated me to release a project that ive been working on in forever that will help so many people out of the rat race not financially but in so many ways! This can really wear on your mental health. Make sure to take your mental and physical health as seriously as you do your work. 
Stay hydrated, keep your body nourished, and fill your down time with whatever you need to stay calm and grounded, whether that's starting your summer vacation reading list early, or video calls with family and friends. Get creative and be kind to yourself! We will get through this together🌄 .

Hey world, Caitlin here from inside her quarantine. I like to see faces every once in a while on business accounts so, practicing what I preach even if it is uncomfortable. I wanted to talk about a little piece of who I am, but be warned... this is long and it doesn’t even fit in the allowed space for text so it continues in the comments. 🤷🏻‍♀️😆 When you got something to say you just gotta say it... right!? 📣  I have anxiety. You too? Yeah, it’s common. I faced this quarantine head on and said this isn’t going to effect me, I love being home... and I do...but. I am out of my routine, there’s a screen in my face waayyy to often and we’re getting fear thrown in our faces every time we look at a screen and on any online platform. It’s starting to get to me. I have this weird habit of yawning when my anxiety is acting up, it’s almost like I just can’t grasp enough air. The last few days it’s been happening more. I know what it is, and I’m not going to let it break through. About 2 years ago I was at my worst. In the hospital from panic attacks way more then I’d like to admit. I learned almost every natural way to beat anxiety. Breath work, energy work, crystals, oils, yoga, meditation, name it I’ve tried it. And guess what... I healed. I can live my life anxiety free, but I created a routine that kept me stable and now that has gotten taken away from me. So, I need to find a new routine that is going to keep me calm until we are out of this. Yoga at home is great physically but almost impossible to get that mental focus that I can tap into at the studio. Yoga is normally my main medicine against anxiety but thankfully, I have a tool box full of more tricks! (Continued in comments...) ☮️💟🕉

My home will be a home with no loud anger, no explosive rage, no slamming doors or breaking glass, no name calling, shaming or blackmail. My home will be gentle, it will be warm. It will keep my loved ones safe. No fear, no hurt and no worries. I may come from a broken and twisted place but I will build something whole and safe. I’ll sing in the shower again, cook with a smile and dance in all the rooms. I will heal.

It's the weekend !! For some of us that doesn't make too much of change but it is important during these trying times to keep up a routine.

It was so lovely for me to teach from the studio this morning, maintaining some normality is really important. 
Right now there are alot of people taking up yoga and mediation, through online channels. It is it fantastic I love that people are taking care of their mental and physical health. 
So why would you join a live stream class over following a recording? 
1) Safety First, as a teacher I can still provide you feedback, if something feels uncomfortable I can still offer you an alternative option. I can see you ( if your camera is on) and provide feedback if required.

2) Social Engagement, It is interactive its almost like coming to class not only do you get to interact with me, but your fellow students. 
3) Yes I am still taking new students if you would like to join just like a normal class I will need to chat to you before we start but it is a great time to take up something new :) Enjoy your weekend and looking forward to seeing you on the mat this week :)

Hello Everyone, 
It's the weekend !! For some of us that doesn't make too much of change but it is important during these trying times to keep up a routine.

It was so lovely for me to teach from the studio this morning, maintaining some normality is really important. 
Right now there are alot of people taking up yoga and mediation, through online channels. It is it fantastic I love that people are taking care of their mental and physical health. 
So why would you join a live stream class over following a recording? 
1) Safety First, as a teacher I can still provide you feedback, if something feels uncomfortable I can still offer you an alternative option. I can see you ( if your camera is on) and provide feedback if required.

2) Social Engagement, It is interactive its almost like coming to class not only do you get to interact with me, but your fellow students. 
3) Yes I am still taking new students if you would like to join just like a normal class I will need to chat to you before we start but it is a great time to take up something new :) Enjoy your weekend and looking forward to seeing you on the mat this week :)

♡ Let's Talk About Emotional Eating In Covid-19♡

I'm sure we've all seen those memes around about it being day 2 and you've already eaten all your isolation snacks, heck there's even something going around the internet called the "Covid 15" meaning that in this isolation period you gain 15lb/~7.5kg. While those memes are trying to make people laugh in a time of distress there is a touch of truth behind them.

Right now times are uncertain. People are losing their jobs, people are scared about catching the virus, here in NZ with the current lockdown the streets are eerily empty and you dont have easy access to food like you once did. And while NZ grocery shops have put limits on the amount of items now, before the lockdown and panic buying you would go to the supermarket and see absolutely NOTHING on the shelves. 
I dont know about you but for most having food uncertainty can definitely trigger the famine alarm bells in your head. And what is the logical thing to do in a famine? When you have access to food, you eat as much as you can because you dont know if it will be taken away again. 
Couple that with the reality of isolation and not being able to go and see friends and/or family, that can lead to a pretty deep depression. 
All of which is a perfect storm for emotional eating. Just remember if you are dealing with this right now you're DEFINITELY not alone or an oddity. This is the "cave man" part of your brain trying to protect you and keep you alive.

I don't know how much longer I can pretend I'm ok. I secretly took some medicine and in hoping it will help my urge to cough and the random pains in my body. My fingers hurt. My back hurts. Earlier today my chest hurt so bad I couldn't move so I pretended to be on my phone until the pain went away. People need to stay home. Why aren't people taking this more seriously? The human race is certainly an interesting one.
