📍Leg muscles are generally bigger than upper body muscles
This means that there will be more blood having to travel to those larger muscles in greater volumes.
⠀
📍Oxygen travels in blood farther away from heart increasing the heart rate and stroke volume (amount of blood pumped out by heart in one contraction)
The working muscles of the legs are  requiring oxygen because oxygen is being used up to a greater degree.

📍Respiratory Pump 
Your blood doesn’t just simply travel back up to the heart super easily. You have mechanisms in your body that help transport that blood back to the heart and replenish your oxygen quicker. Your diaphragm muscle helps actually squeeze that blood upward back to the heart. This causes you to breath more frequently and also take deeper breaths. Along with getting more blood back to the heart, this blood also travel to the lungs to pick up more oxygen and get rid of the carbon dioxide that was picked up from the muscles. This means you will need to breath more to get rid of the CO2 and get more O2 into your body.

📍In comparison to your upper body workouts, the oxygen demand during your upper body workout isn’t as great because muscles are generally smaller and O2 in the blood doesn’t have to travel too far from the heart. Blood is more easily able to replenish its oxygen without having to increase heart rate and stroke volume as much.

As I have been talking about on my page, I am cutting and with low calories we don’t get enough nutrients and feel more sluggish.

I started drinking green drinks again and in three days
💥acne started to clear up,
💥a noticeable increase in energy,
💥new low weigh ins on the scale,
💥and my abs came out! 🥳

HERE IS WHAT I CHANGED
💥Chlorella and wheatgrass on an empty stomach in the morning ...soon I’m going to add spirulina with dinner 🍽

I hope you all are trying to make the most out of your day & are staying positive despite this weird/shitty situation. It's no secret that social media content has increased by 10000% whether that be home workouts, people enjoying their pool in their backyard, going on extreme diets to "make up" for not having a gym to go to, or having a good time with their family/roommates/significant other. Remember not to compare your situation to anyone elses, especially influencers or celebrities that can afford an entire home gym, pool & a huge living space. -

Sure, I wish I had the luxury of those things & seeing others have fun with their roommates makes me really miss my college roomies, but now is the time to appreciate what you DO have. If you feel lonely, embrace this time of being alone. Turn your phone off if you need to. Move your body however you'd like - whether it be a home workout or not. Fill your body with tasty & nutritious foods - do not starve yourself!!! Soak in your bathtub & pretend your soaking in a hot spring or something lmao. Use your imagination & get creative. Try to stay sane. This is only temporary, so make the most of it. 😌❤️

These Glutes have been worked on HARD the last 3 months.. and at Home nonetheless.  I am pretty proud of my Booty Gains...kind of addicted to lower body lately.  Next week I am going to train lower body 3 days and upper 2...😀 just a snapshot of some workouts this last round: SL elevated side squat, SL deadlift to split squat combo and DB Hip thrusts weighted.  The last two were a super set and the side squat I had paired with an ab workout.

Lower Body Strength: Box Lunge to Knee Drive 
This exercise is a better way to mimic the movements you make when playing sports than the forward lunge, and adding in a knee drive at the end of the move makes it an even more effective exercise for building the power and strength that are useful when running.

Step back into your reverse lunge as normal, then when you push back up to standing, bring your trailing leg through and drive the knee up to chest height. Balancing on your standing leg also increases the movement’s challenge to your core.

The step-up is going to get your legs working on all kinds of levels – literally.

Benefits: Will add a whole lot of power to your Glutes and Hamstrings. It will also be effective towards improving your balance and single leg stability. 
All in all, it will add functional strength to the entire lower body muscle group due to the compound nature of the exercise.

You can alternate this with jump rope exercise every other day 😊

There's a wide spread opinion that the main abs focused  exercises are based on different torso raises or leg raises (sit ups, v ups, bicycle crunches etc). The neurologist and sports medicine Doctor Denis Kablukov @doctor_kablukov considers it to be a misconception. The rectus abdominis isn't fasten to hip joints. So any bendings at hips can't build up your rectus abdominis, dealing first of all with iliac and lumbar muscles.
And overusing of pseudo - abs exercises enhances lumbar discs compression. Do you know that? ⠀

My kind of leg training session!I do this session once per week, every week. I’ve been building up the volume for the past few weeks while trimming down the rest between sets. I’ll continue to add volume and cut rest until performance gains begin to flatten off, which marks the time to shake up the program.
•
15 minutes mobility (priority - movement comes first)
5 minutes warm-up (multiplanar lunges)
•
Loaded lunge walk, 100/100 long deep steps
Loaded step downs, 100 (20/20, 15/15, 10/10, 5/5)
•
24 minutes hard work, 102lbs load (48lb Bulgarian Bag, 54lb weighted vest)
•

Conventional barbell deadlifts target all the muscles of your body therefore a progressive deadlift workout program can change your body even if you are a beginner.
