Wow forgot what making an effort feels like

Left 2018 after my bulk, where I gained a lot of muscle mass and laid the foundation of today’s form, but as you see also my body fat went up a lot (plus on this day I had an especially bad form due to stored water). Right side is my best form so far from my holiday at the end of last year.

There are approximately 6kg between these pics but I honestly was never stronger than in the left pic - of course with a lot of surplus calories. But I managed to be almost as strong in right pic with a lot less body weight 💪🏼

Of course the form on the left doesn’t look as nice, but sometimes to get further in this sport, you have to accept that fact. Also I was only 2 years into lifting and I generally had a worse body composition than I have today. Even if I would go this high in calories again for a bulk, I would look way better. That’s just the process.

So happy where I’m now, even though my form is not my best due to the surgery, but for that circumstance it’s still good.

So excited for the next months and how my form will develop, as I managed to get a way better form each year up until now. .

2️⃣Eat an abundant amount of fresh berries. They are full of vitamin C which helps regulate your monthly cycle AND they’re packed full of polyephinols that help reduce stress.

Leafy vegetables like spinach, Kale, and Broccoli. These vegetables are high in fiber which helps normalize your sex hormone, estrogen, which plays a direct roll on your metabolism.

📍Calves are often neglected just as rear delts are, and often saved for the last part of training. If you want to let them catch up to the rest of your muscles, you better train them like you train your back and chest - do calves first, switch angles, and more volumes

📍Do not use conventional reps range on calves training, because this muscle literally gets trained with your bodyweight whenever you walk. Instead, try to aim for 20-30 reps. This rep range also allows you to use a lighter weight and fully contract your calves at the top

📍 Gastrocnemius is the muscle that makes up the inner and outer heads of your calves, whereas the soleus is underneath the gastroc. Today was a heavy #legdayworkout . Woke up this morning at 200 flat. Goal this week is to lose another 1 pound of fat. Again water weight will cause the scale to fluctuate up or down. After cardio I’m sure I’ll be under 200 because of that, but that’s not fat so it doesn’t count.
