How clear are you on what you want? ⁣
If you’re not very clear, then you probably don’t know the exact action that needs to be taken AND probably don’t have the intrinsic motivation to make “it” happen. ⁣
How excited are you about your next result, summer, fitting into the dress, looking the way you want, feeling overall healthier? ⁣
How committed are you to doing things that make you feel super awesome? ⁣
How committed are you to making decisions that serve you in the long run vs feel good right now? ⁣
⁣
All of the answers to these questions will probably give you a good hint as to why you have the results you have in your life right now (not just health related) — a practice I took up that I can share with you all on how to start knowing myself more, getting more clear on what I want, & making decisions that align with that is asking myself BEFORE I take whatever action is up for debate “how will I feel AFTER I do this or don’t do it?” & whatever feeling comes with processing that questions usually leads me in the direction that is aligned with what I want long term, not right now.

Instead of just going down the normal way, we decided to scale down via the world's highest ferrata route @_@ this included using a steel cable rail fixed to the rock, metal steps, ladders, suspension bridges, zip wires and a whole lot OMG I'M DYING moments. Was fun 😂

#14 my first @the_natural_transformer  workout in 4 years and it kicked my butt! The high reps hurt but I got them done every single rep! So proud of my brain for not giving in and my body for allowing me to exercise! Very stoked with how far I have come since last year! 
Today was PUSH and it pushed me to my max and maybe a bit further than I thought I could go! Then tonight we went for a 40min walk!
So grateful for being this healthy! Never take it for granted! •

Squats done for the week. 
135kg 5x5 
and 122.5kg tempo squats for 4x6. 
I do one heavy session and one tempo session each week, and this is 7.5kg up from last week's heavy squats, and 17.5kg up from last week's tempo squats.

Got a few weird looks with this on but managed to do a lower body workout (ish). Obviously not with weights (except for a couple exercises). So I managed to do 
4x12 leg press, 4x20 GHD for glutes, 4x20 BW squats, 4x15 BW split squats, 4x15 step ups and 4x12 leg extension. Was going to do more but my arm started hurting, still got jelly legs after tho so success 😄 #gym #fitness #gymshark #legday #legs #injured #help #jsa #jsam #motivation

If you want to maximise your glute gains then you want to make sure you are getting the most out of your hip thrusts.

Oh and if you aren’t doing hip thrusts then START TO! 👊

Positioning your feet the right distance away from your body is going to make a big difference in recruitment of your glutes.

I do want to say that it is always going to be slightly different for each individual.

However, this is what I have found anecdotally to be the norm.

If you position your feet too far way from your body, this will mean there is a greater angle at the knee joint.

This is where you will find that you start to feel the exercise more in the hamstrings (back of your upper legs) more so than your glutes.

If you bring your feet too close to your body then you will start loading the quads more and feel in the front of your upper thigh.

To optimally load the glutes you should aim to have the feet positioned so that at full extension (top of movement) your shins are roughly vertical.

If you have done this and your form looks perfect but you are still feeling it in the quads - which does happen.

Try instead glute bridges or elevated glute bridges.

This should take even more of the load off of the quads.

Set a timer for 10-20 second intervals of work. You’ll complete both moves back to back on one side, rest 10-20 seconds then switch sides and complete both moves back to back on that side for the first two sets. Rest 20-40 seconds between rounds. Then rest 1 minute between sets. On the final set, you’ll do both moves back to back then rest 20-40 seconds only between rounds.

SET #1:
10-20 seconds per side Single Leg Deadlift to Knee Drive
10-20 seconds per side Single Leg Deadlift Hop

SET #2:
10-20 seconds per side Split Squat Pulses
10-20 seconds per side Split Squat Hop

SET #3:
10-20 seconds Squat Rocks
10-20 seconds Squat To Double Lunge
