The Most Common Mistake

Full range of motion when performing any exercise is the way to go however trying to push that range too much can sometimes lead to or put you at risk for an injury
.
❌If full range of motion causes you to compromise your form by lifting your butt off the seat to get a deeper stretch as shown in the top photo, STOP🛑. Eventually after doing this exercise this way time and time again you will end up hurting your lower back pretty bad (I speak from experience)
.
✅On a serious note take the leg press as low as you can before your butt starts to lift off the seat. As a beginner a 90 degree angle should be your goal. This will allow you to get the proper depth and remain injury free, which is the MOST important thing!

📝Never sacrifice your safety trying to hit a range of motion your aren't conditioned for. If you don't feel safe then it ain't safe so STOP 🛑

Another leg day in the books! Squats, extensions, curls, hip abductors (in and out), and single leg press. Got my left leg back up to 35lbs, which is 5lbs off from where I was pre surgery, and my right leg back up to 50lbs. I'm a little bummed about my right leg status, but it can only get better from here! One day at a time, and I'm not stopping!! Shout out to @dillonrivers3 for keeping me going.

HAMSTRINGS

one of my favourite muscle groups to train & to get some thicccc ass hammies, we should be aware of some things when we program & execute.

the hamstrings include three muscles: the biceps femoris, semitendinosus and semimembranosus.

as they are attached to two joints, the hip & the knee joint, they have two main purposes: flexing the knee and extending the hip.

therefore it is important to not only program an exercise for knee flexion (eg. a leg curl) but for hip extension (eg. RDL) as well, to target all of the areas of the muscles.

when performing a leg curl, keep your hips on the pad and turn your toes out slightly if you'd like to activate the lateral hams a little more.

on a deadlift variation, always think about pushing your heels into the ground and bring your hips back & forth, not up & down.

swipe right for todays backoff of RDL‘s. 180kg x 7 after 210kg x 4. not happy with them today - needs to be better next rotation.

Iv been seeing very good progress in the past 16 weeks with the program I am on. I am currently doing the @jeffnippard hypertrophy fundamentals program. ⠀⠀

Back in November, I started a full body split, working out three days a week for an 8 week period, and I am now currently on a upper/lower body split, going for days a week with a separate arm day added because that is my week point. ⠀⠀

I have seen a lot of progress so far. This is the last week of my upper/lower split, but I think I will run another 8 weeks of this same split because it fits with my school schedule so well. I also enjoy it because leg days are my favorite day, and during a full body split there really isn’t a true “leg day.”

Iv been seeing very good progress in the past 16 weeks with the program I am on. I am currently doing the @jeffnippard hypertrophy fundamentals program. ⠀⠀

Back in November, I started a full body split, working out three days a week for an 8 week period, and I am now currently on a upper/lower body split, going for days a week with a separate arm day added because that is my week point. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I have seen a lot of progress so far. This is the last week of my upper/lower split, but I think I will run another 8 weeks of this same split because it fits with my school schedule so well. I also enjoy it because leg days are my favorite day, and during a full body split there really isn’t a true “leg day.”

You want to push through the uncomfortable feelings but not push through joint or bone pain. You could hurt yourself more than you’re helping yourself. Be very strict with your form! I say “increase your weight”, but with caution!! Increasing weight is great, but 
controlling the weight you can handle is more important. Gradually increasing is OKAY!! Do it and watch the booty grow🍑
