Ideally, you want about 0.8-1g of protein per pound of bodyweight to ensure pure consuming enough protein to not only be healthy, but also support protein synthesis and muscle maintenance. You need to provide your body with enough amino acids to build muscle and make gains. I like to have about 25g/meal as this seems to be an ideal dosage for absorption and partitioning though it is not the end of the world if you have a little more or a little less as total protein daily intake is more important. Some of these foods listed here can add near 3-5g+ of protein which can upgrade a meal from 15g of protein to 20-25g of protein with minimal effort and sometimes few calories.
✔️ Chia, hemp, and flax seeds have bout 3g/tbsp so adding a couple of tbsp can bring that protein up by almost 10g. They are great additions to salads and oatmeals.
✔️ Kale has 5g per 100g serving which is only 50 calories earning that adding a few handfuls of kale in your stir fry or salad can up that protein with minimal calories.
✔️ Nuts like cashews and almonds are also a great addition to salads and even stir frys. 1oz of cashews has 5g of protein.
✔️ Quinoa, oats, rice, buckwheat, amaranth and so many other grains are great sides to meals as they can not only add some carbs and fiber, but also protein. A cup of quinoa for example has 8g of complete protein which can significantly upgrade your meals protein quality and quantity. .

One of the great things about flexible dieting is it allows you to attain your goals of rather building muscle or losing fat while still enjoying the foods that you love. The key to doing so is eating them in moderation. This is where the 80/20 rule comes in. 80% of your calories should come from from healthy, whole foods, like fruits, veggies, meats, healthy fats, etc, and 20% can come from whatever you really love, like chips, candy, ice cream, wings, sugary cereal, cookies, doughnuts, pizza, burgers, or whatever snack you crave.

Doing this makes things much easier to stay in terms of sustainability with your diet. Eating our favorite foods in moderation keeps us from caving and eventually binging on them in the future. It also creates a wonderful relationship with food. We satisfy our cravings, still hit our calories, and it simply makes the process of losing fat or building muscle a lot easier.

7 years ago Ryan was 70 lbs. overweight. He had lower back pain and had trouble standing for more than 5 minutes. He went to see a doctor and the doctor said that it wasn’t bad enough to get surgery but certainly not ok enough to live with. He then saw a chiropractor for a second opinion. The chiropractor told him “If you just lose 50 lbs. around your belly this pain would go away.” He knew that made sense as that extra weight around his belly was putting pressure on his lower back.

He then started to research for months on how he was going to lose the weight and came across a popular blog called “Mark’s Daily Apple” by @marksissonprimal and decided he was going to do the Paleo diet.

One day out of the blue Ryan approached me in the kitchen and said to me, “I need to lose weight for my health. I’m 28 and I’m having back problems. This is unacceptable. But I can’t do this alone though...I need you to do this with me. Will you do this with me? Will you help me get my health back?”

I didn’t think twice. This was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. If I couldn’t do this with him and for him... that said a lot about what future wife I would be to him. I went cold turkey Paleo and threw all my rice and noodles out of the house that day. I was 23 at the time and ate a standard Asian diet, rice and noodles almost every day. Never once did it cross my mind to ever give it up, let alone, go cold turkey with it. I couldn’t imagine my life without rice and noodles...but you know what though?! I couldn’t imagine my life without Ryan more...

Fast forward to today, he’s lost all 70 lbs. and then some and has no back pain.🥳A lot has happened since then. We finally feel we have found a lifestyle that fits what we’ve been looking for. A freedom kind of lifestyle if you will say...We can’t wait to share with you all what we’ve been working on all year as it’s been 7 years of experimenting and information we’ve gathered.

CORRECTIVE SPINE by @skiman.factual.fitness

OK, here we go with another corrective exercising video, let me know if you guys like this type of format, I have always found that sometimes it is better to see how exercises are executed by visual aids.

The squat movement, a great exercise for the hamstrings, quads and glutes.

On the left as you can the squat is performed with a arched spine.  This can cause great stress on the back, especially over time with progressing to heavier loads.  The excessive arch is a dangerous position to be in and is perhaps one of the main reasons for back pain whenever performing the squat or after finishing a squat session.

On the right side, you can see that the spine is kept neutral.  Think about locking down the ribs and bracing the core.  This will allow you load the weight correctly onto your hips, hamstrings and glutes.

Push-ups will work wonders for your upper body, increasing the muscle size & strength of your overall arm/chest/serratus/core areas - BUT - of course, if you done right. -
Doing push-ups with poor form offers weak results, or worse yet, it could cause an injury that makes any push-up uncomfortable.
Push-up form often falls apart at the elbow angle. When you bend your arms to lower into a standard push-up, the elbows should form a 45-degree angle with your torso. This gives you the most power and muscle-building effects for your chest.

Decreasing the angle will increase your triceps recruitment, making it an awesome exercise for arm muscles development. If you really want to target your triceps, you could even switch the surface at which your pushing yourself up: try doing them on a medicine ball to isolate & target your triceps more, study shows:

This song was actually a powerful motivator for me to film this video this morning 🧠 "We can begin at the top" for me this is the top. I had a few very hard months, which left me sad, unsure of my purpose in life, lost and disconnected from soul🦋 
When things in your exterior changes, you can get pulled into a deep dark hole, and only you can get yourself out. It's important to open up your heart and be grateful, even in the midst of all negative things occurring. For me the theme seemed to be loss/death, in all aspects - death of someone close, death of old toxic habits/traits, loss of focus, loss of security, and loss of perceived "next step" plans in life. "This is your life, does everything look alright?" Another verse in the song that really touched deeply to my soul🔮 To me, everything looks alright now, I managed to get out of that isolated dark hole I needed be in to make me the strong individual I am this present moment. 
I came across a post from @kirstyhendey a few days ago.. her caption stated.
"Respect your body when its asking for a break, respect your mind when its seeking rest, honour yourself when you need a moment to yourself" it resonated with me that these were the intuitive steps I had taken in order to regain the feeling of alignment and grounding again😁
