💊It is human nature to look for a 'quick fix,' but as with most things in life, there is not going to be one. The only solution is persistent hard work (sorry to burst your bubble 😉)

🔥Burning 500 calories per day is a much more achievable goal. If you can accomplish this via exercise every single day, then you would be on track to burn 1 pound of fat per week.

💭It seems like a lot of work to only burn 1 pound huh? Keep in mind that this doesn't take into account diet (which is much more important for fat loss).

🥦Now let's apply the same principals to our diet:

🍎Take a look at your current diet plan and make some healthy swaps to limit your calories. (IE Sparkling Water instead of Soda). If you can cut 500 calories/day (which is very feasible) then that would be another pound of fat loss per week.

💪Building habits and routines that implement these rules will put you on track to easily lose over 50 pounds of fat in a single year! Crazy what a little change in perspective can do huh?

Goals. What are they? Well I’ve got plenty. But non of them is, no longer to #lift the heaviest or #run the fastest. And by that I mean, of course it’s nice to set a pb, but it’s like number eight or nine on my #training list of priorities. 😂😂😂Well that makes it still there...No #pb today(didn’t plan to either), but a nice sets of #squats. 12x30, 8x50 and 4x5@67,5😊

Something I hear so much of when speaking with new clients, is how hard they made it for themselves to lose weight, and the hoops they were trying to jump through.⁣

They are focusing on probably the 80% of things they don't need to be doing, and missing the 20% of the things they do.⁣
⁣
No understanding of Energy balance, Calories, proitein, food volume, satiety,  just everything but.⁣
⁣
If they are making things SO hard for them why aren't seeing any progress?⁣
⁣
Simple.⁣
⁣
𝗪𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭.⁣
⁣
Picture this, you trying to sprint on Ice.⁣
⁣
It doesn't matter how much effort you put in, you won't be going anywhere fast.⁣
⁣
Then compare that to sprinting on the road.⁣
⁣
You put the same effort in, but you travel a lot faster, and get to where you want to be a lot quicker.⁣
⁣
Sometimes, its not the effort, or lack of, that you are putting in, but where you are putting it.⁣
⁣
It's just a case of tweaking where you are directing your focus.⁣

They are focusing on probably the 80% of things they don't need to be doing, and missing the 20% of the things they do.⁣

No understanding of Energy balance, Calories, proitein, food volume, satiety, just everything but.⁣

If they are making things SO hard for them why aren't seeing any progress?⁣

Simple.⁣

𝗪𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭.⁣

✔️Don’t over complicate things & stop trying to workout fancy: Lifting weights will build muscle, cardio will burn calories combine this with eating healthy and you will get lean (please don’t attempt to lunge & curl in one movement.... it’s pointless, just do them separately)

✔️Variation is good for the mind and body: as just stated you don’t have to get fancy but subtle changes within your training and diet will decrease the chance of boredom. Boredom will result in a lack of motivation, so simple changes like Rep ranges, tempos with training and swapping a carb or protein source for another healthy source might just keep you focused

✔️Variation is good for the mind and body: as just stated you don’t have to get fancy but subtle changes within your training and diet will decrease the chance of boredom. Boredom will result in a lack of motivation, so simple changes like Rep ranges, tempos with training and swapping a carb or protein source for another healthy source might just keep you focused

Tomorrow and Saturday the top 5 wrestlers from each weight class will be competing at Masters held at Sonora High in La Palma. Come see our boys do their stuff!!
