It's easy to understand the excitement. Protein is an important component of every cell in the body. Hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Your body uses protein to build and repair tissues. You also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

Along with fat and carbohydrates, protein is a "macronutrient," meaning that the body needs relatively large amounts of it. Vitamins and minerals, which are needed in only small quantities, are called "micronutrients." One of my favourite ways to structure my circuit workouts is to make it a pyramid in which we start off with the hardest/highest amount of reps first and bring down the reps every round. Mentally I find it great to know you get the hardest part out of the way which means you can really force yourself to push on those later sets. Notice also that all that is needed sometimes is one exercise to make a killer workout which literally gives absolutely no excuses to why you can't or don't have time to workout. You can also do this with multiple exercises in circuit form. Either way, it is one of my favourite ways to train and can create some of the best workouts. .

🔥 Should you train to failure 🔥

So, there is a misconception out there that you need to train to absolute failure each and every single set of each and every single exercise of each and every single workout. This, of course, is not necessarily true especially when the goal is to build muscle and strength. If the goal is endurance, maybe, but we want to stimulate protein synthesis as opposed to completely destroying a muscle expecting gains to be made. This means leaving a few reps in the tank majority of the time is ideal. With that being said, that doesn't mean we should never train to failure. It just means we don't have to train to failure all the time to make gains. There are benefits to both which means both have their place. Training to failure allows for more metabolic stress and time under tension which are both key components to hypertrophy where as leaving reps in the tank allows for more overall volume (arguably the most important driver of hypertrophy) and rep quality doesn't diminish throughout the set. I like to leave a few reps in the tank about 90% of the time and go to failure periodically to ensure I'm getting benefits of both styles of training.

I know that a “proper” post on creatine is highly requested but I’m thinking it could be worthy of an entire video in itself as there is so much to talk about so if you’d like that then click the ☝🏼 link in the bio and let me know in the comments of the latest video

When we speak of creatine we often think only about supplementation however creatine is actually a naturally occurring substance produced endogenously in the liver, kidneys & pancreas along with being present in many of the foods we eat (Cooper et al 2012).

For example, a study by Balsom et al (1994) (which is the one I used the values in the pic off) showed that the following meats & fish were the highest creating containing foods (values are g/kg of food product):

Cod 3g
Herring 6.5-10g
Plaice 2g
Salmon 4.5g
Tuna 4g
Beef 4.5g
Pork 5g
Chicken 3.4g

This could potentially explain why there are “Responders” and “Non responders” when it comes to creatine supplementation as one of the main characteristics of “Non responders” has been shown to be low initial levels of creatine and phosphocreatine (Syrotuik & Bell 2004, Casey & Greenhaff 2000).

Therefore, while this may also be attributed to some genetic factors such as muscle fibre type i.e. “Responders” tend to have more type 2 than 1 muscle fibres, diet can also play a significant role as those who are already eating a LOT of the aforementioned foods (e.g. many “bro” bodybuilders) may already be consuming 2-3g/day and thus see no/little real effects from additional supplementation. A prime example is often vegans who, due to their diet containing ZERO meat & fish, will naturally have less creatine (Burke et al 2008).

OK, here we go with another corrective exercising video, let me know if you guys like this type of format, I have always found that sometimes it is better to see how exercises are executed by visual aids.

The squat movement, a great exercise for the hamstrings, quads and glutes.

On the left as you can the squat is performed with a arched spine.  This can cause great stress on the back, especially over time with progressing to heavier loads.  The excessive arch is a dangerous position to be in and is perhaps one of the main reasons for back pain whenever performing the squat or after finishing a squat session.

On the right side, you can see that the spine is kept neutral.  Think about locking down the ribs and bracing the core.  This will allow you load the weight correctly onto your hips, hamstrings and glutes.

OK, here we go with another corrective exercising video, let me know if you guys like this type of format, I have always found that sometimes it is better to see how exercises are executed by visual aids.

Now when forming the patties I keep a bowl of water close and use wet hands. Patties are easier to form. Place on oiled grill and cook 5-6 minutes each side. 📍 Being in the presence of others who only seek to see one another succeed and become the greatest versions of themselves on a daily basis is an environment that provides promise to anyone. Walk into the gym with one goal in mind, to get better than you were the day prior. To leave behind any shroud of doubt and only instill confidence. I thrive when I meet those individuals who are at the top of it all simply because it only fires me up and gets my blood pumping that much more. To know at one point in time, they were in my shoes. They were building themselves up and developing into the massive moguls they are today. They too faced doubt, uncertainty and quite frankly the fear of failure. It reminds me that patience is the most important tool to have. That to take everyday and accept the challenges of that day and overcome them is how you should go about it. That life is not a race, it is a marathon. Believe in yourself and things will fall into play as they are destined to. Without a doubt I can say that today, I am the BEST version of myself BUT not the completed product of my ambitions nor my goals. And that has me more excited than anyone could ever believe‼️‼️

So I try to hit shoulders twice a week. My first shoulder day will be main focus front delts. Really smashing them and then hitting my side and rear delts pretty hard. Then the next shoulder day I’ll swap it. So my main focus will be side and rear delts. Then finishing off with some front delts. It’s helped bring out the weaker parts of my shoulder and also helped me not strain my front delts from constantly hitting them hard on shoulder days a lot with them being a secondary muscle used on chest. It’s all about muscle preservation and unfortunately we learn this later in bodybuilding cause we’re fucking meat heads haha.

#sarms -  capsule vs liquid ? There has been much debate on whether the liquid sarms are a better delivery system over capsules . All sarms start in powder form , that is the raw ingredient . Liquid sarms are simply this powder suspended in liquid whilst capsules are simply this powder put into a capsule . Most sellers use liquid sarms for more legal reasons - sarms in capsule form can imply that you are intending it for human use as the dosage has been prepared - whilst liquid sarms , the dosage is up to the researcher and therefore it can be argued it is for research purposes . I wonder if sarms were completely legal, would they simply all be in capsule form for ease of use . There is no difference between them, preference is simply the key . With liquid sarms it is easy to half or quarter the full dose however the solution it is suspended in leaves a very bad taste in your mouth that lingers throughout the day . You don’t get this effect with capsule sarms however if you don’t want to take the full prepared dose, you have to open up the capsule , and half it or quarter it and put it back together again (extremely annoying and time consuming) . What has been you experience ? Any anecdotal experiences to disagree with these comments ?
