Today for lunch I had Stir fry with a side of 3oz sweet potatoes. Snack was a bag of Flex chips. After work I had Tofu and Kim Chee with 2 tsp of chili garlic oil. Dinner was a Ahi steak with 1 cup rice. And dessert is a sugar free Fudge pop. 17sp total.

When someone asks me if I'm on a diet... No.. I just strive to eat healthy that's all.. no diets, I hate the word "diet" it has so much negativity attached to it. If you start a new diet, that means at some point you will have to get off that diet leading you to regain some of that weight if your not careful.  Just eat a little healthier every day add just a little more plants. Fruits and veggies to your diet . That's all ita a great way to start.. .

Throughout prep I constantly had people telling me to smile, to cheer up, that life isn’t that bad. People always told me “why are you always in a bad mood.” -

I have to say I didn’t even know how to respond to those people. I told them I’m in bodybuilding contest prep but that means nothing to the average person. The only people that TRULY understand the way you feel are those that have gone through it. I don’t mean to hate on those that haven’t but I simply don’t know how to explain to the average person what it’s like. Most people don’t deplete carbs to the severity that I did and do the amount of exercise alongside the diet. I can try to explain it but it’s simply not going to get the whole feeling across unless you have been through it. If anyone knows how to explain contest prep to the average person without coming across like a d-bag and having a full head let me know! -

My mood instantly went from being miserable as hell to being the most energetic happy person out there. Literally the second I started putting carbs back into my diet my mental thought process changed, my mood changed, everything changed. Carbs are such a powerful tool when it comes to all around well being. -

Since the comp I have worked out twice and have had more energy than ever. I feel like I can keep going forever in my sets. I had a blast doing the competition but I am definitely ready to put on some size this bulk and enjoy some good food!

I was a couple months into CrossFit and I thought I was goin’ to the Games by 2020. I’m not one to count myself out but the odds aren’t in my favor for that to happen. But, even then, I knew that if it didn’t happen, all the effort I was putting in wouldn’t be a waste. The opportunities I’ve had, the people I’ve met, the things I’ve learned about training, mindset, eating, etc. Not to mention what I’ve learned about myself as an athlete and as a person has been invaluable. Add all this on top of the fact that I truly love training and competing and I don’t regret a single minute spent chasing my goals. ⁠

Develop a relentless focus and a consistent mindset in order to win. Let your goals consume you. Write them down, read them and imagine them all day long

Whatever you want your purpose in this life to be, the only person holding you back is YOU. Your emotions, thoughts, feelings and attitudes shape your habits and create your results.
