Today just might be the day you're tempted to skip your workout, "accidentally" leave your lunch at home so you go out for lunch at work, or decide that you "deserve" a few glasses of wine at the end of the day... and maybe some chocolate, too (maybe a few chips while you're at it...).⁣

Because that's always how it starts, right?⁣
⁣
Just one small lapse in judgement.⁣
One small decision to go easy on yourself.⁣
One small decision to take the day off from your new habits.⁣
⁣
What starts as just one small decision, suddenly has us waking up 2 weeks later, totally off track and wondering, "how on earth did I get here?? I was doing so well!!!".⁣
⁣
Now, I didn't share this to get you afraid of today 😂⁣
But what I DO want to do is remind you of what I've said so many times before, and I'm sure you've heard me say it:⁣

Nothing changes if nothing changes.⁣
⁣
We repeat the same patterns, over and over, until we do something different.⁣
And that involves a lot more than motivation, and telling yourself, "This year will be different."⁣
⁣
So I’m just checking in here to remind you of what you’ve committed to this year.

I’ve committed to myself to make better food choices that make me feel good — and I’m standing by that.

Maybe things haven’t gone well this year so far. But guess what? Today’s a totally new day, and you can start again. And do something totally new. And recommit for good.

Sooo......decided to increase weight on my squats this morning. Not much, just 20 pounds. I’m not saying that’s what caused it, but right at the end of the 9th rep, something......hurt in my lower back. Not sure what happened, but pretty sure I strained something. Stopped the weights and decided to see how running went. Actually went pretty good and my back is only a dull ache right now 💪💪

IL RIPOSO E IL TESTOSTERONE
Dormi a sufficienza. Il sonno è un fattore molto importante quando si tratta dei livelli di testosterone. Questo perché il corpo utilizza il tempo in cui stai dormendo per produrre più testosterone. Pertanto, dovresti cercare di dormire almeno 7-8 ore a notte.
Uno studio condotto presso l'Università di Chicago ha scoperto che gli uomini che trascorrono meno di 5 ore di sonno per 7 notti consecutive producono il 10-15% in meno di testosterone rispetto a quando erano completamente riposati.
Oltre alla diminuzione nella produzione di testosterone, essere privati del sonno aumenta anche la quantità di cortisolo (ormone dello stress) nel sistema immunitario e livelli elevati di cortisolo hanno un impatto negativo sui livelli di testosterone.
Non dormire abbastanza interferisce anche con gli ormoni della crescita, che possono impedire l'aumento della massa muscolare quando ti alleni.
Dovresti cercare anche di migliorare la qualità del sonno disattivando tutti i computer e i dispositivi elettronici un'ora prima di dormire.

FEEL THE GROUND WITH YOUR FEET!
I posted ⬇️ a while back but have more to say.

When running and exercising, have firm contact with your WHOLE FOOT (slightly more pressure into the toes) on the ground. The foot muscles get their nerves from the low back/tailbone region. These are the same nerve roots which connect to the pelvis and lower abs/back.
When the foot muscles active, there will be carry over to the pelvis/core muscles.

EDIT EDIT EDIT⬇️:
In explaining this to my patients I have compared this to swimming. Have you ever “missed” the wall in while swimming? You get to the wall do a flip turn (or just a push off) and you only got 50% wall contact that you anticipated. You start to flounder. Your body tenses. You have to kicker harder to keep going.

THAT ⬆️ is what happens what you don’t have good contact with the ground when you run.

However, in swimming it’s hard to compensate when you’re floating in a body of water. While running, your body is “floundering” but the running movement is so engrained, we’re able to compensate.

Poor foot contact can be cause from any lower extremity injury or pain which makes you limp!

Le proteine NON danno problemi ai reni.

Da sempre accusate di ''spaccare'' reni e fegato,di creare una demineralizzazione ossea e del calcio,in NESSUNO studio scientifico di livello internazionale si e' riscontrato come su persone sane (anche ai dializzati,per onor di cronaca,danno una buona quota proteica) possano dare problemi di questo tipo.Le proteine aumentano l'assorbimento del calcio intestinale (sono le diete con scarso apporto proteico che favoriscono le fratture del femore)E' importante nutrirsi con proteine di qualita' (carne grass fed,pesce selvaggio e di mare e non di allevamento,uova biologiche),idratarsi correttamente e di assumere una buona quota di vegetali durante l'arco della giornata. 
Ovviamente ancor meglio e' AUMENTARE il consumo di Aminoacidi Essenziali (e ridurre il consumo delle Proteine Alimentari) nella Dieta ^

A little squat session at #steadfasttraining first vid is 385 which was my pr before about a month ago, second is my miss at 405. I felt good about the lift going into it, but watching the video I see all the things that break down. Also my first time doing heavy squats in lifters, think I might go back to my nanos.
