NOT dairy or gluten-free 🙅‍♀️ but this cannoli from @mikespastry was sooo worth the walk to get it + the bubbles I endured after. 💨🤭😂

What’s my tip for enjoying trips without totally negating my hard work in the gym/kitchen? Once again, BALANCE. Before this, I had 1/2 of the bowl of spinach, quinoa, + chicken I shared in my last post and then only had a few bites of this monster to satisfy my sweet tooth. 😋 Then I put it down and didn’t give it a second thought.

I’ve learned through the years that RESTRICTING leads to CRAVING those foods even more - and eventually binging on them (in the case of my own eating disorder). So, friends: live your best life, eat a few bites of the dang cannoli (or donut, or icecream, or cake), and try to practice that 80/20 balance I love oh so much. 😉

Good old leg day in the books! I'm still struggling with heavy weight, but I am trying to stay positive and do what I can. This injury has been an issue for over a year and most days in the gym are really challenging. All you can do is try to keep pushing and take care of your body! Basic squats are a staple in my days and lunges to hit the booty. Last exercise is for a heart rate spike and to burn out the legs! Save and try during your next leg day❤🔥 .

Day two of the Tortuga Triple Challenge (5k,10k+Half)! I had big PR hopes for the Half today but, asthma and the tail end of this sinus infection got the best of me. I had to use my asthma inhaler at mile 3 & 10. 
I’m bummed I wasted great weather but, to keep it in prospective, I would’ve killed for this half time a year ago when I was well. This was also my fastest half in a challenge (1:57:29).

Hopefully I’ll get my asthma in check over the next two weeks to give Space Coast Half Marathon a real swing at this PR business. 🤞🏽

People think I’m gross, too lean or whatever unnecessary bullshit I get hit with on the daily. I honestly DONT CARE! You can call me ugly, you can call me loud and obnoxious but these are just words to me. I know the real me and I’m comfortable with who I am. Trying challenges from time to time helps me get things feeling fun again. I encourage everyone to try a lil challenge. Now it doesn’t have to be the same challenges I do, tho that would be great too 🤗

I’ve been getting bored lately so time to switch my routine up again. It’s been a few months since I last did, I think I’m due for one. This time I’m going to bulk; reduce my workouts and focus more on quality than quantity & eat tons more 😋 The goal is  to learn more about my body & reach new heights in terms of strengths & capabilities. I’m very patient so I’m not putting a time limit on this bulk, ideally 3-5 months, but if that doesn’t happen within the time frame I’m okay with slow progress being progress regardless 🙌🏿 —————-

Standing Wall Bicep Curls

What makes these curls so effective is the limitation of momentum used per rep. One of the biggest issues with  standing curls is the momentum/swinging with each rep, instead of actually using your bicep to curl the weight. 
Eliminate all swinging by placing your back and elbows against a wall. Because of this you will be solely focusing on curling with your biceps. Because you can’t swing or use momentum here, you have to squeeze/ contract your biceps to lift the weight. More so then you normally would with normal curls.  This is a great way to pump up your biceps and stimulate the muscle growth.
