Some weekends are for elaborate brunches, and others are for being lazy and resorting to a no cook option 🤷🏻‍♀️ this weekend, I opted for the latter ✌️ sourdough toast, hummus, avocado, tons of feta and chilli flakes 🥳 there’s nothing wrong with being lazy in the kitchen and you definitely do not have to make everything from scratch 🙊 in fact, there is absolutely no correlation between time spent in the kitchen and healthfulness of your meals 🙌 we also did really great episode on @forkingwellness about being savy in the kitchen, if you want to hear more! .

RECETA FÁCIL PARA COCINAR

Les dejo esta idea de almuerzo o cena para los que dicen que comer saludable es aburrido o complicado 🌮

FAJITAS rellenas de lechuga, zanahoria, tomate y pollo ♥️
No dan mas de ricas! Son tan fáciles, rapidas, simples 🙌🏻
👩🏻‍🍳 lo único que hice fue lavar las verduras, rallar la zanahoria, calentar las rapiditas unos minutos en el horno (tambien podes hacerlo en el microondas o en sartén), luego las unte con queso crema y las rellene con lechuga, tomate, zanahoria y pollo salteado en sartén con un chorrito de aceite de oliva.

“If you’ve ever been diagnosed with a thyroid nodule or cyst, you’ve probably found the diagnosis a bit unsettling. After all, none of us wants to hear that we have a growth, much less one that appears mysteriously with no answer about how to make it go away. Here’s the truth about these lumps: they are yet another sign of your body working hard against the Epstein-Barr virus.
When the immune system isn’t able to destroy the virus altogether, it goes with its fallback option: attempting to wall off the virus with calcium. That’s what thyroid nodules are: calcium prisons for EBV cells. When the immune system isn’t able to destroy the virus altogether, it goes with its fallback option: attempting to wall off the virus with calcium. Holy Crap! Who else feels exhausted post workout.

You spend an hour or more in the gym. You leave the gym, and you feel exhausted and lack of energy.

You think this is normal because you just worked out.

I used to think this was normal too. I remember one time I put my  body through a hell of a workout and when I got home I passed out on the couch (of course I showered first, haha!). I thought it was normal for my body to feel like this and it would happen week in and week out. I spent a lot of time educating myself and learning what was happening for me to feel like this.

When we workout we use our bodies natural stored energy (glycogen) which we get from our everyday food. When we workout we use roughly 50% of the stored energy in the body, and the body is in search for a replacement.

Knowing the body needs the fuel as soon as possible, it is best that we obtained the fuel from a fast digesting carb source. Sure, a whole food meal would be great too but that would take too long to go through the digestion process to be effective.

One of the fast digesting carbs we can get in post workout is a pure glucose sugar. A pure glucose sugar is the simplest form of sugar we can get. It is a single particle of sugar and it allows our bodies to easily digest and use immediately.

Another perk to taking in pure glucose immediately post workout is that it not only refuels the body but it helps  build the body too. When we workout we are breaking down muscle and we continue to until process is turned off. Glucose helps to spike a hormone known as insulin postwork which helps turn off the breaking down of muscle and turn on the building.

Мојот постоперативен третман кои траеше едно три месеци полека привршува, но тоа не значи дека скроз треба да прекинам со вежбање и доведување на моето тело во топ форма (нормално, се во граница на дозволеното). Од сето ова заклучив дека денот без вежбање е навистина изгубен ден. Нашето тело бара и моли за физичка активност, за малку вежбање и истегнување. Бидете активни, чувајте си го телото бидејќи тоа ве држи здрави и витални. Бидете промената која сакате да ја видите во светот!

One of the things I love about my gym, @fhf_training_center , is the ability to utilize the @fit3d body scanner. The baseline in this photo is from November 4th and current is my scan from January 6th. I was NOT strict during the holiday months so it wasn’t a surprise that my overall weight loss was only 4lbs; But, what shocked me was that I actually lost 14 pounds of fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle! It’s so cool being able to see that all my workouts have been paying off! Working on my swole game at the moment and trying to get stronger! Но мы зачастую охотимся за этой силой во вне. В других людях, в желании быть признанными и значимыми, желании быть любимыми. Мы охотимся за словом "любовь", биохимия которого закрывает брешь пустоты в нас самих. Мы ищем любую возможность не чувствовать внутреннюю боль своей нецелостности и бежим, бежим, бежим.

Ирония заключается в том, что именно то, от чего мы бежим, даёт нам освобождение. Рано или поздно мы должны встретиться с самими собой. Со всеми своими давними историями, обидами, страхами и опечаленными внутренними детьми. Нам нужно снять маски. В первую очередь для самих себя. И с мужеством и теплом в сердце, идущим из силы духа и опыта, обнять все, что обнажает внутренний истинный взор.

Только тогда земная любовь перестанет быть убеганием и зависимостью и начнет превращаться в музыку Бесконечности. Она станет листьями деревьев, звуком дождя, взглядом глаз, теплотой сердец, пульсацией звёзд и планет. Тогда сила, питающая все живое, прорвав плотины внутреннего сопротивления, начнет струиться через наши мысли, чувства, действия. И наши жизни будут наполнены изобилием, искренностью, красотой, радостью и служением.
