I wanted to get a dog for a few reasons.
.
1️⃣I needed a little companion. I work by myself in my office for up to 12 hours a day. It can be super lonely at times. Sometimes I don’t talk to another person until midday or even later lol. Arlo loves doing client check ins with me (when he isn’t sleeping lol).
.
2️⃣I wanted to be more active. Sitting down at a computer all day is obviously not ideal for many reasons - calorie expenditure, posture and general health. I wanted some more motivation to get outside and get moving more. Going for daily dog walks has helped me increase my steps from about 3000 to 10000 per day. It’s also helped me factor in that time for me to switch off.

3️⃣Practice for being a real mum! I’m not planning on having kids any time soon but looking after a puppy is the next step for me  in preparing to become a mum (step one was successfully keeping an indoor plant alive for over a year lol). It’s also helped me with becoming responsible for something other than myself.
.
Moral of the story is get a dog 🐕 it will fix all of your problems. Ok maybe not all but at least some! 😂

My biggest concern when it comes to my industry and what you guys are consuming on social media is that most of you are using motivation and inspiration as a drug, a stimulant and a supplement to feel more pumped up, for very short periods of time.
~
Although that's great to have a bit of motivation flowing, it's just like taking a scoop of pre work out or having a strong coffee... it eventually drops off and you crash and I know many of you end up in a slump, feeling less motivated than before you tried to pump yourself up.
~
The truth is over the course of your lifetime you will be motivated, inspired & pumped up less than 30% of the time... that's the natural flow of life and who we are as human beings.
~
You can have a great attitude, great outlook and be a positive soul on this earth every day, which many of you are but the actual act of being so motivated and inspired to take action right here and right now, makes up a very small percentage of our life.
~
Now I know some of you want to mess with that ratio and be a rockstar every day, but the truth is no one is really like that... what you are actually seeing is someone running a very specific pattern every day.
~
What I want you guys to stop doing is looking for quick and cheap motivation and inspiration, I want you to start running a pattern... there is a time to be motivated, but most of the time you've got to get the job done and produce when you sure as hell don't feel like it!
~
You have to learn the art of going about your business calmly, rather than waiting for moments of inspiration to do your job and get things done.
~
Everything I teach you guys, ultimately comes down to training you to run a very specific, high level pattern and routine over the course of a lifetime - that's why it's called @before5am - I want you to run exceptional routines, habits and rituals, so you don't even need to be motivated and pumped up!
~
So don't worry or stress, when you don't feel motivated or pumped up... just go about your business calmly and get things done, that's where you ultimately make all your progress and gains over a long period of time.

As children we learnt to walk by progressively getting better at moving (laying on our belly, rolling, pushing up, crawling, sitting up, etc), yet we discard this system in the gym - why?⠀

EVERY movement has a set of building blocks and a progressive and regressive paths should you need it - but don’t neglect the basics! ⠀

Here’s how I’d progress someone to squat with barbell:⠀

Eh si, siamo proprio il frutto delle nostre scelte. Siamo quello che abbiamo deciso, che decidiamo e che decideremo in un futuro più o meno prossimo.

E delle nostre scelte dobbiamo assumercene la responsabilità.

Per me questo ultimo anno è stato contraddistinto da moltissime decisioni una più difficile dell'altra, ma c'era sempre un filo conduttore. Volevo trovare la mia dimensione, la mia felicità.

Ho scelto che nella vita voglio lavorare come Fitness Coach. In questo momento non posso permettermi di fare solo questo lavoro, ma mi sto impegnando da tre anni a questa parte nello studio della materia. Devo imparare ancora moltissimo e per farlo ho deciso di scegliere la scuola che sento più vicina alle mie corde e dalla quale ho visto uscire professioniste di tutto rispetto che fanno ogni giorno un lavoro immenso.

Avrà una durata annuale, il programma è vastissimo. Ma non vedo l'ora di buttarmici a capofitto, ne va del mio futuro.

Since the modern-day breast augmentation with breast implants was first performed in 1962 it has consistently remained the most requested cosmetic surgery procedure from women of all ages. There are THREE reasons why I’ve stuck with the gym this time around, where as in the past I fell at the first hurdles or when life got stuck in the way. 😬 💪🏼 First I made it super easy. I joined the gym next to my daughters school ... I literally walk past it 4 times a day. Even if I go just 30 mins after drop off or before pick up. I have no excuses as I’m already going past every day. 😉 💪🏼 I love the people. This makes a massive difference, I don’t feel out of place or unfit or flabby. I’m just me amongst a room full of people of all ages, sizes and levels who help and support each other. ❤️ 💪🏼 I took the pressure off myself and switched my goals. Before I only focused on the scales. But it took 15 years to gain weight, why would it come off in weeks? 🙄 Before I would not get the results I wanted fast enough so would quit. Now my focus is enjoyment, to feel stronger, mental wellness, to tone my body, to increase stamina and most importantly to feel proud of myself for showing up. 
Now it’s not me “trying” to go to the gym, or “wanting” to go, it is simply part of who I am 😊. Plus I get to have a precious hour to myself without phone, child, work or life demands.

The biomedical and public health advances of the past century have increased human longevity around the globe. These great strides notwithstanding, the increase in life expectancy has resulted in the growth of an aging population worldwide, posing a set of medical, public health and socioeconomic challenges. 
The aging population has urgent and unmet health care and economic needs related to chronic disease and multimorbidity, which require solutions at the national and international levels.

To address these needs and challenges, a group of international experts has put forward a position statement laying out a new health care framework for the classification of age-related diseases in an effort to help aging populations stay healthier longer.

The statement, published Oct. 31 in Science, was authored by researchers at 36 institutions in six countries, including Harvard Medical School, MIT, University of Liverpool, the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, University College London, Stanford University, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, Medical Research Council, London Institute of Medical Sciences and the National Institute on Aging. “A new framework for the classification of aging as a disease process will be critical in providing a unified way to think about age-related disease and achieve new preventive strategies and design new therapies,” said George Church, professor of genetics at HMS and co-author on the statement. “Scientists are rapidly gaining novel insights into the molecular origins of age-related diseases, and we are seeing these insights lead to small molecules, proteins and cell and gene therapies to stem the tide of age-related disease and enhance humankind’s general wellness and longevity.”

So... We checked out a new gym last weekend! We took the one day pass at Babel Fit gym in TTDI, to experience their facilities, equipments and classes. LOVED their facilities, it was very complete- the towels were luxurious and the changing room was so comfortable (we love a gym that does this). We attended two classes, Cync and RnR. Cync is basically a spinning class, held in a cutely lighted room. The instructor was very helpful and also pushes you to the limits! Each bike is linked to the app, so without your phone, you're able to access the level, RPM etc on the screen in front. Our second class RnR, focused on improving our mobility through stretches and movement using the foam rollers. It was intenseeeeee but it was THE session we needed to end the week. It was held in a neon-lit room, with calming meditation background music. Perfect. Even the instructor's voice was calming! Hehe.
