AVOIDING OVER SNACKING 🍪
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Note the “over” snacking. 
Let me just say this is all relative. If you are trying to loose weight, or maintain and you want to cut down on the calories, and you find that over snacking is your biggest hurdle, then read on. If you’re not trying to loose weight, or maybe trying to gain weight, then by all means completely ignore this post. Maybe give us a little like for the cheesy grin pic 😘

Snacking is one of my favourite hobbies. But It’s easy to sit and demolish a whole share bag of buttons & a pack of biccies on an evening while watching telly. Here’s my top tips for swerving over snacking.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tip Number 1:
Delay breakfast. I’ve found that if I delay my breakfast until around 11/12, then I don’t need lunch until around 2/3. Then I eat lunch instead of a share bag of buttons. This also means dinner can be later, meaning less time after dinner to have a snackathon.

Tip Number 2:
Find lower cal snacks: Granted, sometimes we don’t want a 10 cal jelly, we just want the real deal. But if you are trying to shift some weight, then you have to make SOME subs. Also try to buy snacks in individual bags, instead of share bags.

Tip Number 3:
Find a healthy alternative dessert:
I bulk make sweet potato brownies for the week. Every evening, I can warm one up, Chuck some @judes low cal ice cream on top, and I have a 250 calorie but HELLA indulgent dessert!

Tip Number 4:
Drink up. Find a nice zero sugar squash. Sainsbury’s orange and mango is amazing! Not only are you hitting a little sweet tooth, but you are getting your water in, AND filling a hole that a snack would be residing in.

Tip Number 5:
DON’T AVOID INDULGENT SNACKS ALTOGETHER. When we cut out all indulgent snacks, we only want it more. You want that doughnut? Bloody well eat it, but just take the one doughnut on a plate and put the rest away. Cutting out all of anything will only mean you miss it so much that you need to engulf 2 packs in one sitting.

It’s the part of my day where I can physically feel what my body is capable of doing and the strength that it possesses. I can be 100% mentally present and focused on performing the movements and tuned in to how My body feels. Any goals that I set in this space I *know* is achievable and I can be proud of because it’s something that I did with my own body, no luck, no oversight or doubt. I did that. I am proud of that. .
I’ve learned more about myself and what I am capable of through this outlet than any other. It can be my stress relief, my happy place, my school, my get away and occasionally the last place I want to be if I’m not in the mood 😂. Even though things are a little uncertain right now I encourage you to get your daily movement in, I believe it’s one of the best ways to take care of your mental health and happiness. And if you’re thinking about starting your fitness/wellness journey I encourage you to hop on the bandwagon because there’s no better time than NOW 🥰 do it for yourself 2020 !!

So as you know I’ve been counting my calories again for the last few weeks and I’ve really enjoyed it, butttt I’ve decided I’m going to do a little experiment with myself, for the next few weeks I’m going to stop tracking and see how I feel and any changes to my body! I want to see it’s affect on me and how I cope with it, I’ve always been very on and off with tracking but I want to be able to show you it’s affect! If any ... -

So at the beginning of my weeks I am starting to make little goals, writing down what I want to achieve that week and it’s really helping motivate me lots!! As well as my daily to do lists, I would really recommend doing little things like these if you find you are struggling! -

I’ve taken a little time off of training because of my ankle injury, and devoted time to stretches/exercises to help the muscles in my ankle get a little stronger (at home PT if you may) 🏋️‍♀️ So today, I did an ab circuit, which both avoids ankle strain, is low intensity, but ultimately manages to work up quite the sweat 💦 Please ignore any little buggies you see flying across the screen in the videos, it’s SO humid and gross out today LOL🥵

I’ve fallen into the full body days in quarantine but Chripractors orders are no legs for the days around a run so WE DID IT MATE! A killer upper body only day done in 60 minutes!

My workout buddy / work wife / good friend @csassara and I completed it together last week, so now we’re on to @katieyovin ‘s Full Body HIIT guide. Can’t wait to SWEAT doing HIIT with the lowest weights I have, which is 15lb dumbbells 😅😬

Here’s a quick workout to get the blood pumpin, it looks like a little bit but after i was done i was SWEATINGGGG.
Do all five workouts for 45 seconds then have 1 minute rest. I did it for 4 sets!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ich persönlich kanns kaum erwarten, jeden Einzelnen wiederzusehen und von euren Erlebnissen zu erfahren 😍
Für mich war es eine sehr erkenntnisreiche Zeit und trotz der Tatsache, dass ich 6kg verloren habe und so aussehe, als hätte ich noch nie ein Gym von innen gesehen, fühle ich mich mental stärker denn je - no joke 😂💪🏻
Ich denke, dass wir alle gemerkt haben, wozu wir trotz dieser Krise wirklich fähig sind und unterkriegen keine Lösung ist! 🙏🏻
Dass körperliche Fitness unglaublich wichtig ist, um gesund zu bleiben wurde auch klarer denn je und ich hoffe so sehr, dass sich künftig noch mehr Menschen für den Sport - also für Bewegung - begeistern können.

I constantly have to remind myself that having a shorter, lighter or not so great workout is not a bad workout and is just fine.
.

Feeling weak, feeling unmotivated or just feeling like not working out at all is just totally normal and we should not punish ourselves for feeling that way. 
But i've taught myself to just get dressed and go. Even if i don't feel like it. Today was one of those days. And you know what? 
My workout started off only wanting to do a few back exercises, and then something clicked and i had a full upper body workout including a quick HIIT sesh! 😍💪🏽

I appreciate every workout i do even if i'm not always satisfied with it. Because i know i'm putting the work into it and getting better each time. 🙏🏽

Also thanks @instagram for deleting my Memorial Day workout video because it used the song “Anywhere You Want It” by Journey and apparently that song is used in THE SIMPSONS Ep 8ABF05: BURNS, BABY BURN .. sorry?? So this is basically the rebound post. But really though, ya girl did not feel like redoing that today. So here’s a throwback of me posing in front of my beautiful gym mirror. ⠀

As I sit here plopped on my couch looking at my wonderful throwback gym gainz, all I could think about is lifting heavy. If you like to lift heavy like me and don’t have a full out gym like others then you hear my struggle. I CRAVE a heavy lift, I crave that feeling when you scan your card and you hear the music, and you see everyone. I crave those moments, not the dull room with minimal equipment that gives me little to no motivation. I’m over it!🙅🏼‍♀️⠀

But I’m done complaining. I’m just in a funk today, and as much as I wanted to workout today, all I wanna do right now is snuggle up and watch Netflix 📺⠀

‼️LIVE ONLINE CLASSES ‼️ The longer we spend in lockdown, the less motivated people have become. Chris and I want to help keep you active and enjoying training, even while stuck at home.

The benefits of training, especially with the on-going crisis are endless, but mainly we are focusing on mental health and positivity. Completing a workout can help you stay in a routine and break your day up. 
To help you do this, we are continuing our live workouts NOW 5 times per week on Zoom. We have 2 cardio based classes and 3 weights based classes, however if you don't have weight we've got you covered, because we have multiple options for every exercise. So that every member of the household can be involved.

The classes are interactive, but don't worry if you feel nervous, because you can turn your camera off so nobody will be able to see you, but you will be able to follow along with us.

All classes are recored and added to a private Youtube playlist. So members can catch up later, if they're unable to attend, or repeat any classes they enjoy it.
