HI HELLO EVERYONE

We’ve got some new faces around here (THANK YOU FOR 75K WOWOWOW) so I figured I’d reintroduce myself and let you know a bit about me:

-I am currently studying to be a Registered Dietitian (6 quarters left WOOP)
. -I fell in love with fitness after recovering from an eating disorder that I had in high school, and have been lifting heavy and eating good for 3 years now
.
- I was a gymnast for 6 years and a competitive cheerleader for 6 years 🎉 .
- I am an online coach and I teach girls how to create a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, making food and fitness something that they love and not places of punishment and restriction, and a 🔥🔥 mindset of strength and confidence.

-I’m a lover of sushi, pancakes, and froyo 🍣🥞🍦
. -I’m a proud cat mom of my sons Samuel and Remington (pictured) that I co parent with @noahncady

I can’t begin to express how blessed I feel that we are creating a community like this one!!! A kind word goes so far- and there’s nothing like having friends reach out and cheer you on.

I’m adjusting my routine to my new role as a small group instructor at the Eureka Healthsport, and I’m LOVING it!!! (If you’re an early morning workout type-uh person, come and try it out!! It’s 5:30 am and you’ll leave feeling like you took care of YOU today!)

Got some boxing 🥊 in with my man this morning. I L O V E the sweat 💦 fest of it all. It’s awesome having a partner for 17 years that I can still share the same interests with. We don’t get a lot of time together, but when we do we enjoy working out, lifting, running, cycling and just enjoying the outdoors. Happy Hump Day! What’s your fav workout? Ever try boxing? Hello from pregnancy week 39! Everything is a bit better this week, except of sleeping through the nights. My belly lays low, so it’s easier to breathe now 🤗. The last ultrasound showed, that baby has a weight of about 3000g now, so we stopped worrying about it being totally underweight 🥳. Braxton Hicks Contractions are not as frequent as the weeks before 🤩. Maybe it’s also my mindset - my to-do list has a lot of these: ✅. That helps me relax 😁

Alright, this has to be one of the hardest posts I've ever made, and honestly I've been avoiding it since September because I've always had body issues and have been made fun if countless time for my weight.
I'm so proud of myself for getting this far into my fitness journey and not quitting or giving up on myself. Don't get me wrong, there was days I skipped the gym or ate whatever I wanted but in the end I always pushed myself back to my routine. 
There were days when I felt hopeless and just down right hated myself but I always came back to my routine. 
Don't give up on yourself, you're the only one who can truly motivate yourself and push yourself to become who you want to be. "I believe regret is the ghost that haunts

1️⃣ Row 400m

2️⃣ 20 deficit KB squats 
3️⃣ 15 shoulder taps pushups (tap, tap, push-up each rep)

4️⃣ 10 single leg box jumps (each side)

4 rounds ! Finish each round without stopping & take 1 minute rest between rounds. Quick & effective 💪🏽

I took a break from the gym these past 6 days to go visit my boyfriend in El Paso before he get deployed:( I didn’t stress about what I ate while I was there and honestly I don’t regret it. I was able to fully enjoy myself for that short period of time and I won’t beat myself up over it. Always remember that it’s okay to just take a break and enjoy everything, including the sinful foods

So for most of you who follow my insta you will see I’m more of a weights kind of girl than a cardio kind of girl. Why is this?
.
Well for one, I hate cardio 😂😂 running is just not my thing 🙌🏻🙌🏻 (for those who love it, good on you)
.
Cardio whilst helping burning calories it does nothing for muscle growth, meaning when you lose weight you will just look like a slimmer version of yourself, you won’t have the muscle to actually reveal the ‘toned’ body you want, this is achieved by lifting weights.
.
For me lifting weights is more beneficial and getting stronger is the best feeling ever for me. I actually feel I have done a great workout!💪🏻 and from a girl who would step in a gym and just get on a running machine and never lifted weights in her life I think I’ve come pretty far🙌🏻
.
Obviously cardio can come in handy for all sorts of things but I think for now I’ll stick to my weight lifting 🏋🏻‍♀🏋🏻‍♀🏋🏻‍♀

For me lifting weights is more beneficial and getting stronger is the best feeling ever for me. I actually feel I have done a great workout!💪🏻 and from a girl who would step in a gym and just get on a running machine and never lifted weights in her life I think I’ve come pretty far🙌🏻

Obviously cardio can come in handy for all sorts of things but I think for now I’ll stick to my weight lifting 🏋🏻‍♀🏋🏻‍♀🏋🏻‍♀

A2. Dumbbell RDLs 4 x 10-12
B1. One Side Dominant Hip Thrust 3 x 10 on each side  B2. Nordic Hamstring Curl 3 x 10

I know it can be super confusing with how to get in shape, daily I know you’re bombarded with so much conflicting information out there...

 Here’s the reality….
Getting in shape is really not all that hard when you lay out all the pieces:
- training regimen
- nutrition protocol
- cardio
- stress management and sleep

BUT that's not really the hard part, is it? It's putting in the time and consistency for all of those. Making your goals a priority and saying no to things that don't serve you. THATS THE HARD PART!

This is why people hire coaches and trainers. Being accountable to yourself is difficult. But knowing you are working with someone who is backing you, who is counting on you and who is rooting for your goals..... makes the process that much more EFFECTIVE.

I hold my clients accountable to their goals. So that when life shows up, when excuses come up.

A year ago you if you told me I’d travel to the places I’ve been and do the things that I’ve done, I wouldn’t have believed you. A year ago I was becoming apathetic, dispassionate, and settling into a comfortable existence.

Five years ago I got the phrase “vale la pena” tattooed on my arm while studying in Spain. It was a time where I was living in a new country with no friends, family, or familiarity with anything around me. The discomfort and anxiety could’ve seeped through my pores and destroyed me slowly if I had let it, if I had lingered on it.
.
Cause see the mind does this incredible thing where it pursues the thoughts and visions you have, regardless of how helpful or hurtful they may be. If you believe it, the mind will find evidence to support it.
.
So as cheesy as the phrase is, I wanted to always remind myself (in that permanent tattoo sorta way) that part of growing is putting yourself in new and unfamiliar situations, that in order to have change you must be challenged, that all the discomfort and uncertainty you feel will inevitably lead you to new heights, and that every step and struggle along the way is in fact, worth it.
