Major props to those of you out there trying to balance your priorities.
For me it’s challenging to manage time in college.
I find myself struggling to achieve my goals because i prioritize school as I should, but I still get down on myself because I’m not where I want to be, and it makes me upset.
Eating enough, working out enough, studying enough. It’s hard.
But I’m going to push through, slowly but surely I know I will achieve my goals. 
The key is just to learn patience🔑

Whenever someone wants to lose weight, two variables (aside form sleep) play a key role; diet and working out. For whatever reason, everyone's first assumption is that training is the hard part. Getting to the gym, lifting with compound movements and overloading the body progressively over time. Maybe it isn't everyone's first choice of something to do after work, but that isn't the hard part. In fact, going to the gym and lifting is quite easy in nature. What is hard is eating healthy consistently. Focusing on whole foods, not stuffing yourself and eating based on your activity, that is difficult especially doing it consistently over time. Difficult doesn't mean impossible though. Far from. Eating healthy involves making decisions and choices at first that may not be your first choices nor the choices you want and it involves self control. People always say that your abs are made in the kitchen and I believe that whole heartedly. You can work out has hard and long as you want, but if your diet isn't in check and you're not eating well consistently and your enot developing lifestyle habits, you'll never achieve the results you want. Training is easy, but diet is where the effort has to be.

We all love training our upper body in a variety of splits don’t we but when it comes to legs why do most of us hate it so much? -
It’s hard work that’s why. The legs are huge muscles and take lots of energy, especially when we train with intensity. It’s common practice to have one huge leg day with so much volume that we struggle to walk for a few days later. Does this sound familiar?

Extra frequency is becoming more popular as research suggests that it is optimal for building muscle. But it is also important to manage the amount of volume we do on each day. This is especially important with legs. We also have a tendency to over complicate things. Do we really need all the different lunges/lunges squat variations and leg extensions? Pick out the main movements like a squat and deadlift and just focus on getting stronger. -

Had a great chest workout today! Lots of volume, I’ll list the workout below!

1. Flat bench press - 6 sets of 6-10 last set is a drop set
2a. Incline DB press - 5 sets of 10-12 last set is a drop set
2b. Incline DB fly - 5 sets of 10-12
3a. Low to high cable fly - 5 sets of 10-15
3b. Incline push ups - 5 sets of 10-12
4. Fly machine lower chest focused - 4 sets of 12

If you’ve never tried the pec deck standing to focus the lower chest I highly recommend it! It was a great finisher and a great lower chest focused exercise.

PATIENCE is a very big part of any sport‼️Why⁉️

Let’s start at the beginning....we all saw someone participating in a sport and it sparked our attention. So then we begin to want to play at that lever but first we must build a foundation.
.
Yes we all want to go to the top!! Play in the NBA, NFL or compete in the IFBB. But we have to be patient and develops the right physique. Then we can push.
.
Why bring this up now....we’ll it’s something that’s very hard for me and something I have to practice everyday. So this prep I told myself I’d be patient and listen to my body and do the work need. So next time you feel rushed or anxious take a few breaths remember how far you’ve come and keep putting in the work and it will come together.

The weekends are typically the most difficult times to stick to a diet since you’re likely hanging out with friends and going out where it’s tougher to track macros.

While it might be easy to call it quits after a few bad days, when you look at the big picture, a few bad days is nothing compared to a week, several weeks, or even months of bad eating. If you had a bad weekend, look at it as a small step backwards and get back on track starting today before it spirals out of control. Otherwise, you’ll look back on today and realize you really didn’t do much damage at all and if you had just gotten back on track after the weekend, you would have been perfectly fine.

A strong core is absolutely everything in my opinion. Way too often, people focus and prioritize on the wrong thing in the gym which is get strong and jacked as hell by lifting heavy loads and slamming the weights. Now that's great and I agree, lifting heavy is awesome, but the priority for all gym goers should be a strong core for both performance reasons and health reasons. So before you start lifting heavy, let's ensure you can do so safely and reap the benefits of the heavy loads. Here is why you need a strong core:

👉You can lift heavier: when you have sa strong core and your spinal column and body is stabilized, you reduce energy leaks in the kinetic chain meaning. This leads to stronger, more powerful contractions of the muscles required to lift the load and reduces compensation from other muscles, usually synergistic muscles.
👉Reduce the likelihood of injury: by ensuring your core is strong, your spine is going to be stabilized throughout everyday activities and through various exercises which reduces stress on the back as well as compensation from other muscles due to poor form which can lead to overuse injuries especially if the muscles that are compensating are not meant to handle heavy loads placed on them.
👉To have a healthy back: one of the biggest problems in our world is lower back injuries and while that is often caused by tight hip flexor a and poor posture, it is also caused by a weak abdominal wall and deep spinal stabilizers.

Don't neglect the core. My favourite core exercises are planks and deadbugs and then progressing to more advanced ones like hanging leg raises and wood choppers and cable crunches and ice cream makers.

If your destination is muscle growth, then there are many paths you can take to arrive there. However, any good program has to trigger mechanical tension and metabolic stress, and it must allow for progressive overload (the primary driver of muscle growth). If you are tired of your routine and want to try something different, check out these pyramid schemes for muscle growth.

The first is an old-school bodybuilding approach called ascending pyramids. With this approach, you start with a light weight and perform 10 reps for your first set. You then add weight and decrease the reps for your second set. On you third set, you increase the weight again and crank out fewer reps. This is a great program for hypertrophy although it can be difficult to gain strength as you become fatigued before you get to your hard sets.

Another option is reverse pyramid training. This scheme is the exact opposite of ascending pyramids - you begin with the heaviest weight first (and crank out the fewest reps) and decrease the weight with each subsequent set. If you want to get strong, this is a great way to do it. .
Finally, you could do an ascending/descending or up/down pyramid. You begin with a light weight for 10 reps, increase the weight for fewer reps for each set until your third set (which is your heaviest). Your last two or three sets are back off sets. This is a great balance of volume and mechanical tension and will get you strong and big.

No edits, no blemish covers, no sculpting, no lighting changes... this is ME. I think people get so caught up in the perfect expectations on Instagram, in magazines, or the models in shopping catalogs that it gets harder and harder to accept our bodies in our “less perfect” forms.. but we don’t come airbrushed.. we don’t come with a daily Snapchat filter that we can walk around with on our face and body.. we are beautiful and perfect the way we are because we are REAL. So everyday I look into the mirror at any and all of my flaws and repeat “I love my body, I love myself, I love the things I interpret as my flaws, and I love my uniqueness” every day, sometimes I even repeat it 2 or 3 times! We need to understand that everyone struggles with body positivity, body confidence and comfort and I can understand why, with all of these influencers and models to compare to. I can’t tell you how proud I am of @ali_heisler . When she came to me she had dreams of competing. She didn’t know anything about the stage she just knew she lived weight training. I am always excited when someone comes to me and is just passionate. Passion can get you far and if you have the right guidance it’s a dangerous combo. Oh and it doesn’t hurt she has amazing genetics not only can she pack on muscle but her structure is incredible. We took the first pic within a month of us getting started and the other pic was from the 2019 Lehigh valley championships where she placed 2nd in the open, novice, tries novice and she took 1st in the juniors in the figure division. One thing I most proud of is the patience and trust she placed in me. When she said she was dying to compete and then after posing I decided the best plan of attack was to take a full year to put the muscle on she needed to be competitive. COMMON THEME 
I am sure by now you have noticed that the message I give for different body parts or different training styles or whatever ever is the same. That’s because it’s THE TRUTH. Progressive overload is the overriding principle of everything regardless of you training with 3 rep sets or 12 rep sets. Get stronger with good form we have a tendency to over complicate the rest. 
HORIZONTAL PULL
This is some kind of row variation. I personally prefer a one arm dumbbell row because of the added range of motion.
VERTICAL PULL
A vertical pull is typically a lat pulldown variation. My favourite is a weighted pull up.
POSTURE CORRECTION 
This one may be different for everyone.Some people may need to do more than others. In this day in age most of us sit down for long periods of the day. First of all just getting active is fantastic 😀 secondly and more specific to this post finishing off back day with exercises for the rear deltoids(shoulders) or mid traps will help somewhat towards stopping the shoulders round forward.
