Planst du eigentlich deine Woche oder lässt du alles auf dich zukommen? 🤔 Alles unter einen Hut zu bekommen ist manchmal gar nicht so einfach und aus diesem Grund plane ich wirklich ALLES  im Voraus 😄 Ich plane was ich die Woche esse, plane meine Trainingseinheiten, plane Termine und meine to do's, außerdem was ich für die Arbeit machen muss, wann ich neue Postings schreibe, wann ich Bilder machen gehe, Mails schreibe/beantworte usw.. also ihr merkt schon, ohne Planung wäre bei mir pures Chaos 😅 
Ausreden, dass man nicht alles schafft, gibt's da kaum mehr ☝🏽😁 oder gibt's jemanden der mir da nicht zustimmt? 😄

People are so much more focused on the shortcuts and the keto and the intermittent fasting and the magic pills or waist trainers or whatever that are supposedly supposed to make you lose 100lbs over night and transform your body in a blink of an eye. The truth is, those results come from habits and lifestyle, not from any one special thing. Habits like meal prepping, keeping a food and training log and making anecdotal notes, getting more active throughout the day, always parking far away from the front door of the building, and strength training all lead to the body you want. Patience is another big variable and it is habitual. Also, fit people don't make excuses. They make progress.

✔️ | If you are unable to perform 10 single leg bridges, it’s a sign that your glutes are weak. Be sure to test both sides, as one side could be weak than the other. Make sure you’re bridging all the way up so that your quads and chest are in a straight line with one another.

✔️ | If you notice your hamstrings cramping up during this exercise, your glutes are weak and relying on the hamstrings to do the majority of the work.

✔️ | If you struggle to maintain proper balance when working through lunges, or any other standing lower body movement, it’s because your glutes are weak. All balance stems from the glutes. If they’re weak, they cannot maintain proper control. Grab some dumbbells and work through some walking lunges.

✔️ | If you notice you’re falling off balance, or your hips are dropping to one side, your glutes are weak! Take a look at your posture in the mirror. Do you notice your hips tilting forward? Most people that DM me or as me questions are in regards to how to get sixpack abs. Everyone wants the beach body, but no one actually understands the process to get one. A lot of people that speak to me said they have tried keto, they have done intermittent fasting, they have taken fat burners but no matter what they do they can't get that lean. Aside from sleep, the two most important variables that are paramount to get that lean are training and nutrition, the latter of which I believe is of the upmost importance. In terms of training, we always want to be building mucle mass. We want to train to get strong and we want to train to make some gains no matter who you are. This means focusing on the compound exercises in all rep ranges and weight, aiming for about 10-20 sets of 6-12 reps per muscle group per week. You should also look into adding fasted walks into your day in the morning and additional higher intensity cardio 1 to 3x/week. That is generally what is ideal for building muscle, oxidizing body fat and making gains. When it comes to your diet, we want to be focused on whole foods which includes a ton of fruits and veggies. We also want to ensure we are eating enough protein to build and maintain muscle mass especially if we are losing body fat. If you're already relatively lean and at a healthy body fat percentage and are just looking to get even leaner for aesthetic purposes, carb cycling may help you as I know it has certainly helped me get very lean and dry me out so definitely do your own research and see if it is right for you. Your diet especially needs to be on point as no matter how hard you train, you'll never get abs without a good diet.

A common misconception is that your diet and routine must change drastically depending on whether you are trying to gain muscle or lose fat. The truth is, the only major difference is your overall macronutrient intake.

When bulking, if you want to gain muscle with minimal fat gain, a 300 calorie surplus is all you need and you should aim to gain no more than 2-3 pounds per month. Since you can lose fat faster than you can gain muscle, when cutting, you should be at around a 500 calorie deficit and you can lose 1-2 pounds per week. I recommend cardio during either phase and that simply gets factored into your overall calorie requirement.

As far as training, I always tell people that what worked to build muscle when bulking is what you should do to maintain it while cutting. Your routine should not drastically change when you begin cutting. Light weight with high reps doesn't get you leaner. Eating in a caloric deficit does. If anything, doing light weights will be detrimental since you're not providing your body with a reason to hold onto muscle.

Why did I choose Crossfit as my workout regimen of choice? Constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements. The constantly varied is what keeps it fun and interesting (workouts are different every day); the high intensity gets you so shred; and the functional movements get you through the day. 
Here is a little clip on what I am talking about. Workout courtesy of the best coach in @westchester.ny - Dan Stearns from @empirestatecrossfit. Wonder what Dan will program next week for me. 
5 minute AMRAP #1 (as many rounds as possible) - 1 hang squat clean; 1 chest2bar pull up...1 hang squat clean 2 c2b pull-ups. Keep adding a c2b but stick with 1 hang squAt clean. (I did 125lbs on the hang squat clean and got into round of 8 c2bs)
Rest 3 minutes
5 minute AMRAP #2: 1 hang squat clean (reduced weight to 105lbs); 2 regular pull-ups (chin over bar)...1 hang squat clean; 4 pull-ups. Keep going for 5 minutes adding 2 pull-ups each round (I got into round of 7)

There is so much information out there with social media, and people you have in your life giving you advice which makes it hard to know what is 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 and what is 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄⁣

These are just 3 things I noticed during my talks that I want to bring up to you now and give some clarity ⁣

1️⃣ 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘊𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘌𝘢𝘵 𝘓𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 👉🏼𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄! 🚨⁣

Your body doesn’t just start storing fat because the sun is down.. you’re not a plant 🌱 ⁣
⁣
If you are consistently eating enough calories that your body needs each day over the span of the week you will 𝐍𝐎𝐓 gain 𝗪𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓⁣
⁣
2️⃣ 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘍𝘢𝘵 👉🏼𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄! 🚨⁣

rice, bread, potatoes, pasta, cookies, cake, cereal or pizza. There is no food that makes you gain Fat.⁣

Inconsistent eating habits, or eating to much for your bodies needs will cause weight gain⁣

Over the past week I able to work with 𝟒𝟎 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝗪𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 and show them how to take control of their lives and start hitting their 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒!!!⁣🤩

During the course of the week and the conversations I had.. there were a few things that had kept coming up that I felt were some very common misconceptions out there ⁣

There is so much information out there with social media, and people you have in your life giving you advice which makes it hard to know what is 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 and what is 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄⁣

These are just 3 things I noticed during my talks that I want to bring up to you now and give some clarity ⁣


1️⃣ 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘊𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘌𝘢𝘵 𝘓𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 👉🏼𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄! 🚨⁣

Your body doesn’t just start storing fat because the sun is down.. you’re not a plant 🌱 ⁣

If you are consistently eating enough calories that your body needs each day over the span of the week you will 𝐍𝐎𝐓 gain 𝗪𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓⁣

2️⃣ 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘍𝘢𝘵 👉🏼𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄! 🚨⁣

rice, bread, potatoes, pasta, cookies, cake, cereal or pizza. There is no food that makes you gain Fat.⁣

Inconsistent eating habits, or eating to much for your bodies needs will cause weight gain⁣

I normally never buy packaged foods but we’re (my husband and I) are going 100% vegan while stepping up our fitness routines and I thought a little help of added protein to our primarily fresh ingredients diet would make my meal prep easier.  Our muscle building and maintaining program while being 100 % vegan will require a carefully planned meal prep and added b12 ( very important) I have vegan supplements and vegan protein shake for post workout recovery. REST DAYS @luis_lifts_ 🔥

A lot of people dread rest days & still feel bad for taking days off from the gym. People feel like they're missing out when others are in the gym & they're not, they're scared that the food consumed won't be put to use & will result in fat gain from less output and so on.

I urge you to change that mindset⚠️ Fact: we only grow and progress when we're NOT in the gym. Training breaks down muscle and it's only when we REST that those muscles have an opportunity to repair, strengthen and grow. Those extra calories going in are being utilised to facilitate this📈

What about me? Personally, I do absolutely fine with just 1 rest day/ week, but currently having 2 of them due to work & just having other priorities atm to be honest💁‍♂️

 Obviously no lifting on off days, but also no cardio (which I never do) since I feel like it takes away the purpose of an off day. Just a big morning walk outside. From a calorie-standpoint my diet is fairly the same as on training days. Difference is that my fat-intake is a tad higher on off days.... & that I might switch a protein shake for a drink or two🍷🤙 .

Most people that DM me or as me questions are in regards to how to get sixpack abs. Everyone wants the beach body, but no one actually understands the process to get one. A lot of people that speak to me said they have tried keto, they have done intermittent fasting, they have taken fat burners but no matter what they do they can't get that lean. Aside from sleep, the two most important variables that are paramount to get that lean are training and nutrition, the latter of which I believe is of the upmost importance. In terms of training, we always want to be building mucle mass. We want to train to get strong and we want to train to make some gains no matter who you are. This means focusing on the compound exercises in all rep ranges and weight, aiming for about 10-20 sets of 6-12 reps per muscle group per week. You should also look into adding fasted walks into your day in the morning and additional higher intensity cardio 1 to 3x/week. That is generally what is ideal for building muscle, oxidizing body fat and making gains. When it comes to your diet, we want to be focused on whole foods which includes a ton of fruits and veggies. We also want to ensure we are eating enough protein to build and maintain muscle mass especially if we are losing body fat. If you're already relatively lean and at a healthy body fat percentage and are just looking to get even leaner for aesthetic purposes, carb cycling may help you as I know it has certainly helped me get very lean and dry me out so definitely do your own research and see if it is right for you. Your diet especially needs to be on point as no matter how hard you train, you'll never get abs without a good diet.

Today’s workout was pretty much just deadlifting, and some cardio of course. During my current training I plan on taking a day that focuses on mainly deadlifting. I feel like this helps me so I can take my time doing it and not feel rushed my having to do a bunch of other exercises afterwards. Today I built up to a 3x5 at 370 taking a small jump from last weeks 365. Just gotta keep pushing now!

BEST Exericse for Big Sculpted Arms 🤔💪 Personally I think the chin up dominates, for when it comes to evolving your upper body.

When done correctly with a full range of motion, this exericse will take your back and biceps to the next level...
⬇️⬇️ • Start in the dead hand position (arms straight to feel the lats stretch) • Engage the lats to bring your chest and chin over the bar • Squeeze your biceps at the top and really feel them working (even pause for half a sec at the top if you can, and visualise those arms burning🔥) • Control your body back down to the starting position, keep the abs tight throughout • Use a resistance band as a regression or add weight as a progression 
A lot of skinny people/new lifters you find in the gym, will often waste a lot of time trying to grow there arms with Isolation exericses e.g bicep Curls etc.

But why not just kill two birds with one stone and go straight for the most effective compound lifts, which will enhance your whole body.

Isolating muscles is fine, but you should hit your harder compound exericses first before anything else. 
So before you start performing bicep curls like a f*ck boy. Ask yourself have you performed your chin ups first 😜 .
