2. Instead of bottled Smoothies or packed juice your own fruit, or use another liquid. You can try water or coconut water. The liquid from young coconuts is quite sweet. Unsweetened almond milk, flax milk, soy milk, and hemp milk are great nondairy substitutes. Regular milk can work, too. Just be mindful of the additional calories.

Have a conversation with the people around you! They probably want to support you in every way that they can, but they can’t do that unless they understand what you’re trying to accomplish. No filter, no make up ...that’s me 99.9% of the time because I’ve learned to love me for me. God uniquely created me for a purpose and he did the same for  you .

I know you some of you , probably most of you have some baggage or damage...we all do. But it’s our choice what we do with it. .
To be real,  my dad ( God rest his soul ) told me more times than I can even remember that I will never amount to anything😱, what kind of parent says that to their child? But on the other side my mom was always cheering me on telling me how beautiful, talented and smart as well as how proud she was of me. So I could choose to take what my dad said and believe it or listen to my mom and believe it… So I chose my mom’s side and never looked back . .
Over the years of being a personal trainer a.k.a. psychologist I have always told my clients that we press fast-forward not rewind because you can’t change the past but you can certainly do something about the future. .

INTERMITTENT FASTING CHEAT SHEET.

Here is a “Intermittent Fasting” cheat sheet to make sure you are doing it right for fat loss.

MORNINGS. Don’t eat anything first thing in the morning. Consume ONLY 0 calorie beverages.

✅ FASTED EXERCISE. When you are asleep you are burning fat, so why not extend the fat loss process by training in the morning in a fasted state! Training fasted will help you burn more calories from the night before & you’ll increase HGH (Human Growth Hormone) which is responsible for muscle retention & weight loss.
➖
SNACKING. Snacking is the WORST way to ruin any chance of you losing weight. NEVER snack between meals because the calories will sneak up on you casing weight GAIN! If you like certain snacks, eat them with your meals.
➖
✅ FIRST MEAL. After your exercise, have your first meal consisting of high fat, moderate protein & ultra low carb. Eat foods like eggs, bacon, beef, nuts, butter, cheese, avocado, etc.
➖
✅ FAST. After your first meal you will be fasting again. Make sure that you are not having any snacks until your second & final meal of the day.
➖

As you know I was stressing yesterday about the scale going up. 😖🤦🏻‍♀️ After several months of not tracking (but still being mindful) and then eating at maintenance (and sometimes even a surplus) I’ve decided it’s time to go back into fat loss. I’m going to give it a go for 4-6 weeks, then back to maintenance for 4-6, then I’ll probably start trying to build again (except more intentionally this time) 
I’m super happy with the amount of muscle I’ve built but I’m ready to get some of this extra fluff off that comes with it. 💪🏻 here we go! 
Ps I am in no way giving up carbs this time and I will still be eating plenty of food 😘 no 1200-1400 bs over here 😁

*Eat lots of non-calorically dense foods. I've said it over and over again, but that's just because it's so darn important. These are food that you can eat in very high volumes for relatively few calories. Can you imagine how that would be beneficial? You can literally fill up your stomach with food, which signals to your brain that you're full...all for few calories. On top of that, non calorically dense foods largely include fruits and vegetables - which contain countless micro nutrients and fiber.⠀⁣⁣
⠀⁣⁣
*Avoid the "eat less" mentality. Firstly, just because you're eating less, doesn't mean you're eating less calories. For example: 2 spoon fulls of peanut butter could add of to 300-400+ calories, all for an extremely small volume. No matter what anyone says, that will not fill you up. Secondly, it's not at all a sustainable approach, (at least not for 99% of the population). Always restricting yourself to eat less will inevitably lead to a cave-point, where you give up and gain all the body fat that you worked so hard to lose back again. It's really inevitable.⠀⁣⁣

Instead of "eating less", you should think about eating more! Eat more of what kinds of foods? You guessed it! Non calorically dense foods, high quality protein, and some good fats. Remember: you can eat lots of non calorically dense foods for few calories. Why not do that instead of torturing yourself by eating "eating less"?

On top of that, non calorically dense foods largely include fruits and vegetables - which contain countless micro nutrients and fiber.⠀⁣⁣

*Avoid the "eat less" mentality. Firstly, just because you're eating less, doesn't mean you're eating less calories. For example: 2 spoon fulls of peanut butter could add of to 300-400+ calories, all for an extremely small volume. No matter what anyone says, that will not fill you up. Secondly, it's not at all a sustainable approach, (at least not for 99% of the population). Always restricting yourself to eat less will inevitably lead to a cave-point, where you give up and gain all the body fat that you worked so hard to lose back again. It's really inevitable.⠀⁣⁣

Instead of "eating less", you should think about eating more! Eat more of what kinds of foods? You guessed it! Non calorically dense foods, high quality protein, and some good fats. Remember: you can eat lots of non calorically dense foods for few calories. Why not do that instead of torturing yourself by eating "eating less"?

A common misconception is that your diet and routine must change drastically depending on whether you are trying to gain muscle or lose fat. The truth is, the only major difference is your overall macronutrient intake.

When bulking, if you want to gain muscle with minimal fat gain, a 300 calorie surplus is all you need and you should aim to gain no more than 2-3 pounds per month. Since you can lose fat faster than you can gain muscle, when cutting, you should be at around a 500 calorie deficit and you can lose 1-2 pounds per week. I recommend cardio during either phase and that simply gets factored into your overall calorie requirement.

As far as training, I always tell people that what worked to build muscle when bulking is what you should do to maintain it while cutting. Your routine should not drastically change when you begin cutting. Light weight with high reps doesn't get you leaner. Eating in a caloric deficit does. If anything, doing light weights will be detrimental since you're not providing your body with a reason to hold onto muscle.

Hamstring day so quads don't have a pump but here's a shot anyway. Shrinking but getting leaner. But really need to shave 😂. Today's session was a bit shit. Energy levels crashed when I got to the gym and felt weak and faint but cracked on. Warming up on sldls and what is normally and easy warm up, was a struggle. So never made it close to my normal working weight. Struggled to get 140kg off the rack, never mind doing my regular 180kg for reps. Same for leg presses. Struggled with warm up weight. And I may have punch the leg press in frustration. Not every session is easy. I could've easily have gone, fuck this shit I'm leaving" but dug deep and got it done. Just have to remember what you're training for and remember how much you want it and the effort will be there.
