And especially these past couple weeks there have been times where I just did not want to go to the gym, did not want to get out of bed, really didn’t want to go to class 😂 just a big cloud of unmotivatedness hanging over me lol. Heute hab ich eine Freundin in #münchen besucht und wir sind etwas „shoppen“ gegangen - zwar erfolglos, aber es hat trotzdem Spaß gemacht 😁

I get asked all the time HOW I lost such a significant amount of weight —

I started.
I continued.
I adapted.
I learned.
I believed in myself.
I gave myself time.
I never gave up.

No matter what you do consistency is key.

I’m BEYOND excited to start with my girl @Melissa in the FASTer Way to Weightloss. I will continue my low carb diet but also learn about carb cycling and perfecting my intermittent fasting.

Morgen gehts mit meinen Eltern wieder zurück nach Göttingen. Ausnahmsweise also mal kein Ärger mit verspäteten ICEs. Die ‚schlechte‘ Nachricht: die Woche ist voll verplant mit Laborzeiten, Besprechungen und Erwachsenen-Kram (Erweitertes Führungszeugnis is calling) und das alles ohne Niklas.
Die gute Nachricht: in einer Woche ist dann Vienna calling. Da ist der kurze Abstecher nach DE kein Drama. 
Update 7. Semester: Meinen Stundenplan habe ich heute in meinen Kalender geladen und ab dem 07. Oktober gehts dann los mit Nephro, Uro, Kardio, Pulmo, Hämato & Onko. Plötzlich so viele verschiedene klinische Fächer und trotzdem hoffe ich bei einem medizinischen Notfall weiterhin, dass jemand mit mehr Kompetenz anwesend ist. So zum Beispiel heute auf der Hütte, in diesem Fall wars ein Intensivpfleger. Vielleicht kommt das Kompetenzgefühl ja mit den Semestern, vielleicht.

Nós nos aventuramos a subir na classic physique, mesmo estando 5 kg abaixo da categoria, tinham 31 atletas, muitos que já foram campeões overall em outras ocasiões, desta vez não fiquei no primeiro callout, mas me sinto com dever cumprido, por ter levado minha melhor versão e ter perdido pra caras deste nível.
Mas a guerra não acabou, meu foco agora é a categoria onde melhor me enquadro e compito amanhã de manhã, na qual consegui bater o peso cravado na quinta, então prometo que vou dar muito trabalho!

Episode 1 of Foundational Principals: Progression/Regression where we take “basic” exercises (no, not white girl basic) and discuss proper execution, regression ideas for beginners, and progressions for more advanced trainees. ⠀

Today we are discussing the classic push up. Great exercise for all whether this is your first day in the gym or you’ve been training for 20 years. ⠀
⠀
Set Up:⠀
- Hands a bit wider than shoulder width⠀
- Glutes/stomach squeezed for bracing and stability throughout movement⠀
- Hands “screw into” the ground pushing the elbow pits forward⠀
- Head neutral and in-line with the body throughout (can use a broom stick for feedback)⠀
⠀
Execute:⠀
- descend slowly to the floor, lowering torso and hips together, with elbows making a 45 degree angle to the trunk⠀
- Think about “squeezing the floor together” with your hands throughout the movement for maximum contraction. This step is key and makes or breaks the difficulty in the exercise. If you squeeze like a 6 year old, it won’t do much. If you squeeze as if you are trying to move the floor together, you’re on the right track⠀
- Tempo is 3-4 seconds down and 3-4 seconds back up ⠀

Videos 2 and 3 are simple ways to regress the exercise to help you execute while working your way towards the standard push up.⠀

Videos 4 and 5 are progressions where the stability is challenged and resistance is added for more difficulty. ⠀

We've been working on his power and speed for a few months and you wouldn't believe what this man's pushed himself through.
As a result of his hard work and determination he smashed all 3 trials and the fitness test for Belper Town FC!!!

Even with a slight scare of not being able to play because of a joint issue called osgood schlatters disease which makes the muscles grow faster than the tendons, we worked around the issue and he never once complained and never put anything but 100% into training!

Extremely happy for him and it wont be long until he's up there playing for @dcfcofficial and even @england I guarantee it!

This vegetable smoothie has been a staple in my diet when I begin to fall off the hand wagon. When I become complacent, my vegetable intake suffers most. If you struggle getting in your 5 servings of fruits / veggies, this one is packed with 4 servings in one drink. 😮

Recipe:
✔️ 1 carrot, trimmed
✔️ 1 small beet, scrubbed and quartered
✔️ 1 celery stalk
✔️ 1 medium Golden DEElicious Apple
✔️ 1 cup coconut milk (or water)
✔️ 1 tsp balsalmic vinegar

Throw everything together in a blender and blend for 60 seconds. Bon a petit.
