Last Halloween, I bought a 1 lb. dumbbell for a costume that never came to be. Well boy am I glad that I did, because it’s become a primary piece of workout equipment for me (and my cats, of course). ⏰Since I’ve been in self-isolation, I don’t need to much stuff for the training session. Of course I want to a squat rack, barbell, dumbbell and lots of weight but we couldn’t get it yet and hard to buy proper stuff recently. Let’s try these exercise guys.

1️⃣Weighted paused push-up 🕐12-15reps x each set
Push up is the best exercise for the upper body and core strength, everyone know. Just put some weight on and paused 1-2secs at the bottom of the position to make it harder. If you couldn’t make a basic push up, try Burpee test, Knee push up, Basic push up, Paused push up and make it with some weights on your back.

2️⃣Chest dips
🕐10-20reps x each set
Technically you would train pecs and triceps from Dips. But it will be up to the angle which means how much you lean forward. If you keep straight your body up, it will hit your triceps more than pecs so let’s focus chest this time.

3️⃣Leg up pike press up
🕐10-12reps x each set
Easy to try basic pike press up? Lift your leg up while you do pike press up. A lot of core strength is required also, you could make much tension on shoulder parts.

4️⃣Gym bag OHP & Band shoulder press
🕐10-12reps x each exercise
The resistance band isn’t that strong so make it slower and tried not to lose the tension on target. If you don’t have one? Use your small backpack or plastic bags filled up with water bottles on each hand. Def better than nothing.

No makeup. Hair's not done. Who else has been living like this day in and day out. Today's the first day in a week that I haven't worn stretchy pants so I am feeling very put together right now considering 😂 the kids rocked their first day of distant learning and they've had the rest of the day to play. They are kind of loving being home every day. I don't mind either except that I get to feeling cooped up! I've been working out twice a day (different muscles and exercises of course 😊) to help me get my wiggles out. And I've been pumping out content for my online classes! We have been focusing on different aspects of our physical selves: our body and nourishing it with food. Now, we’re going to pivot to look at the third major aspect of our physical selves: movement, fitness, and exercise.

These three words seem very similar and they definitely overlap. However, there are differences, as well. These three words will be the theme for the week.

As I got into wellness through exercise and fitness, I consider movement to be a significant part of my wellness journey. Initially, it was just to become a better athlete, then for more mental benefits, and lastly, as a soul purpose.

The questions to ponder:
• What does fitness mean?
• What does movement mean?
• What does exercise mean?
• How are fitness, movement, and exercise similar?
• How are fitness, movement, and exercise different?
• What does fitness, movement, and exercise mean to you?
• What is your relationship to fitness, movement, and exercise?
• How do you feel fitness, movement, and exercise fit into your life? ****
What is Alone Together Getting Healthy? It’s taking advantage of our current situation for self-reflection on what health and wellness means for us holistically- body, mind, and soul. It’s a mini-wellness retreat at home.
