On the left I was 505 and on the right is a picture of last year of my lowest weight ever of about 260. I’m a currently heavy right now but for 2020 I plan on getting even smaller than I was last year lower 200s maybe even 199 😱🤷🏽‍♂️. Really just going to see how I feel. It’s okay to fail & even rebound. In the time I’ve been dropping weight I had never gained before but last year was very hard emotionally.....At the end of the day people will only remember the finish product so don’t give up, let’s make 2020 the best year yet!

Today I completed my 4th day on the program for recovery and it has been a good experience.  it is the beginning but I do feel that I can do the movements with more coordination 🙏🏻 the goal is 5 times a week which will be completed tomorrow and 6th day will be a plus! Today I completed my 4th day on the program for recovery and it has been a good experience. it is the beginning but I do feel that I can do the movements with more coordination 🙏🏻 the goal is 5 times a week which will be completed tomorrow and 6th day will be a plus! Every day I see as new challenge to accomplish the routine and always doing my best. No shortcuts ... #IWILL

She had recently lost 30 kg from the keto diet, only to have gained it back entirely within that same year after returning to carbs amongst other lifestyle habits.

I don’t blame her for not being educated in nutrition. If this was easy, Canada wouldn’t have reported an overweight/ obesity rate of over 60% in 2017. It is never too late to start learning about food, or better yet, working with a professional to help guide you. 📚

Running through a largely disused boat yard in the dark is a great way of scaring yourself to run quicker... until you ungracefully fall over. Well there goes my pride. 😂😂

I know people look at me now and judge. “It must be genetics” “She probably doesn’t eat” “She must be on something” Do I care?? Hell no! Hate all you want!!! If they only knew what I’ve been through (and still go through for that matter) to get where I am today, they may understand. A little over 13 years ago I looked at a picture of myself at my daughters 1st birthday. I was ashamed and disgusted with my weight. Being a mom is a ton of work. I had let laziness take over and I let myself go. It was easier to just drive through McDonald’s and grab a quick meal while my daughter was napping in the car seat. I knew that my weight was bringing me down and horrible for my health as a #type1diabetic So I committed to change. I lost the weight through healthy food choices and walking/running. It wasn’t until 2013 that I began weightlifting. I had finally found my passion! It has done so much for me physically as well as mentally and emotionally. I’m a completely different woman than the one pictured on the left. I’m fitter, stronger, happier and healthier now! AND I’m a role model for my girls! I’m proud of all that I’ve accomplished. A healthy lifestyle,  dedication, consistency and a healthy relationship with food has helped me to keep the weight off.  If you’re struggling with weight or a poor body image, I can assure you that if you commit, stay consistent and put in the work, that you can be successful in your fitness goals! ❤️💯 #transformation .

Day 1 of being back in the gym and it feels so good to be back! •
It’s been well over a year since I’ve stepped foot in the gym! Before Liam I was in the gym constantly, I’ve always enjoyed working out and learning new ways to workout. That soon all changed once I became pregnant with Liam, as soon as I found out I was pregnant my entire attitude changed.. I would literally walk in the gym and be like, “I’m tired.”, “I can’t do this.”, “I don’t want to do this.”

So after a year of not working out at all I was excited to get back but I was also extremely nervous. I worried about not being able to lift weights at all, my form being incorrect, having to lift lower weights than usual and of course people judging me. •
•
But then I realized, we’re all here with the same exact purpose.. TO BETTER OURSELVES. We’re all going to start a different places, what I might be able to lift, you may not be able to. You might be able to be on a treadmill for 40 minutes and I might be able to only do 10 minutes, at the end of the day none of that matters. •
•
What matters is, you are working on yourself, for YOURSELF! I encourage you to start now wherever you are, don’t wait for Monday, don’t wait until you lost those 20+ pounds, don’t wait until you think people won’t judge you and so forth.. life will pass you by and there will never be a perfect time to start. All you need is the willpower and you WILL succeed!

With that being said, I want to start recording my gym routines but before I do that I want to make sure my form is proper that way I’m not giving you all false information on how I workout. •
•
I’m hoping with being at the gym multiple days out of the week, my form will correct sooner than later so I can get these videos out for you guys!

Bacon Cheese Smothered Chicken...yep! You guessed it! It’s on plan🤗 Thanks Kathy for sharing it with me❤️ 3 servings 
per serving provides 
1 leaner protein
1/3 green
1 healthy fat
3 condiments

Ingredients:
10oz cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
3 teaspoons olive oil
6 slices of Canadian bacon, cooked and chopped
4 slices of sliced low-fat Mozzarella cheese
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt to taste
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon fresh parsley
5 tablespoons freshly grated reduced-fat parmesan cheese
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
1/8 cup (1/2 of 1/4) sun dried tomatoes

Instructions
In a large skillet, cook your Canadian bacon, remove from pan, drain fat.
Chop the bacon and set aside.
In that same large skillet add the olive oil.
Place your thin sliced pieces of chicken in the skillet and cook on a medium to high heat for roughly 4 minutes on each side OR until browned lightly on each side and cooked all the way through (NO PINK)
Remove fully cooked chicken from your skillet, and set aside.
In the same skillet, add in the unsweetened vanilla almond milk, chicken broth, garlic powder, parsley, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.
Whisk over medium/high heat until ii begins to thicken.
Add in your spinach and sun-dried tomatoes and allow it to simmer until the spinach starts to wilt.
Turn the heat on low
Next add in the chicken one at a time into the pan, lightly coat with the sauce and place the sliced mozzarella cheese over each chicken piece and sprinkled the cooked bacon.

On a side note, I love organic oranges from my Mom’s yard. 😁.

Do you know that I could give you a list of each diagnosis I have, every single thing I’ve tried, the challenges I’ve faced, and yet still get up and get it done every day?

Why?

I know what it feels like to let the darkness win and I refuse to sink again.

Avery and I watched #wonderpark last night and I cried. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must-see!

At one point one of the characters says, “The Darkness. It’s still there.” And the little girl who created this magic place with her mom (who was sent to “get better”) says, “Maybe it’ll never really fully go away. Maybe it’s there to remind us to look at the light that surrounds us.” What’s your light? Maybe it’s your kids. Your job. Your relationship. Your family. Your passion. Your faith. Whatever it is, it’s surrounding us all the time.

That darkness may always be there, maybe it’ll always be apart of you like it has been for me. But it’s how you live despite that... that’s what matters.

Today, don’t compare what you see on social media to what you’re going through. Instead, try to use it to inspire that light to pull you out of the darkness.

Happiness is an inside job. I tend to be more on the pessimistic side sometimes, so I have to remind myself of that... Have to kick that "stinking thinking" to the curb pretty frequently. Perception creates our reality. If we change our perception, we can change our lives. This includes our perception of ourselves and what we're capable of. It's easy to fall into a trap that can keep us from progressing until we shift our perception to believing that we are capable of more. Happiness is such an important inside job. We owe it to ourselves and the people we love to put in the work.

Some days 275lbs seems heavy to me , some days 315lbs feel like a piece of cake and some days I just a need pre work to wake me up and that's been almost everyday now. 🤷‍♀️

I do avoid deadlifts and squat on days that I walk 20,000 at work because even if I drink pre work out my body is tired so I do upper body instead.
