Trying to go low carb up until I leave for Mexico so I can lean out a little, I wanted to do a solid cut for a few months but health wise that was not an option for me the last few weeks 🙃 we’ll see how it goes, obviously 1 month is a very short period of time to see any major results (and I’m not the type to starve myself, or do a ridiculous cleanse to make me 💩myself just to lose weight lmao, cause that’s NOT healthy.) wish me luck 🤪

Drop Sets: This is when you perform an exercise to failure, then quickly reduce the amount of weight and push out as many more reps as you can with the lighter weight. You can start really heavy, do just 4 to 6 reps, strip some weight, do as many reps as you can, and then strip more weight off and push out more reps.✅⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Super Sets: These are consecutive sets, no rest in between. You can do them for the same muscle, like biceps or triceps, or for opposing muscles like back and chest. You can also do them for unrelated muscle groups like quads and shoulders - a surefire way to get your blood pumping from one end of your Badass to the other.✅⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Giant Sets: These sets target one muscle group by doing three exercises quickly, one right after the other, to failure/fatigue using challenging weights and high reps. You don't have to do these often, but give them a try. They are intense and truly shock the muscles.✅⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Pyramid Sets: These are similar to drop sets, except you start light and build up to heavy, then drop the weight back to light. Ive broken down how you can improve your mind-muscle connection by understanding the different contractions one performs when doing the bicep curl ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. The Concetric Contraction (shortening)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the movement where the muscle, the bicep in this case, is shortening, bringing the dumbbell up to your shoulder. When you reach the top, Hold this position for a few seconds and think about tensing up and squeezing the muscle. This will result in a better mind-muscle Connection as well as more muscle growth⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2. The Eccentric Contraction (lengthening)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Besondere Leistungen verdienen besondere Wertschätzung und Hard Works pays off. Unter diesem Motto möchten wir diesen Monat kein Mitglied ehren, sondern unsere Trainerin und Co-Ownerin Marie Trappmann. Lange Zeit war das unerreichbare Ziel vieler CFM Athleten die CrossFit Regionals. Nun hat es Marie tatsächlich geschafft und sich für das Sanctional Event den German Throwdown in Berlin als beste Deutsche qualifiziert. Mit einem Platz 20 von 30 Plätzen sogar noch mit Luft. Um diese Leistung einschätzen zu können, möchten wir etwas in die Vergangenheit eintauchen.

Marie startete im Herbst 2014 mit 6 Monaten CrossFit Erfahrung bei CrossFit Munich. Einige Lifts waren zwar schon überdurchschnittlich, aber viele Sachen wie Pull Ups oder Handstand Push Ups waren in weiter Ferne und beim Laufen gab ebenfalls mit viel Luft nach oben. Marie war aber von Beginn ein Arbeitstier und schloß trotz Studentenbudget sofort die Superflatrate  ab, womit die Prioritäten für die nächsten Jahre klar gesetzt wurden. Trotz einer Stunde Fahrzeit von Dachau mit der S-Bahn stand sie regelmäßig ‪um 06:15 Uhr‬ in der Box für die erste Einheit und Abends gab es noch ein zweites Training. Unvergessen, dass sie nach unserem 24 Stunden Hero Workout, nach dem alle Teilnehmer bewegungsunfähig waren, am nächsten Tag wieder Ruderintervalle gemacht hat. Dennoch hat der Erfolg länger auf sich Warten lassen. Es gab Rückschläge bei Competitions, wo Marie häufig unter Wert geschlagen wurde und die in Anbetracht des vielen Trainings bitter waren. In den letzten 2 Jahren ging es aber kontinuierlich bergauf. Hier wurde mit absoluter Konstanz an den Schwächen gearbeitet.

Cependant, un jour, j'ai décidée de changer mon train de vie grâce à mon petit frère qui, depuis 5 ans il est dans la musculation 🏋️‍♀️ ⁣et je remercie infiniment à mon coach et surtout grâce à lui que je suis encore là ...💪💪💪

il ne m'a pas fallu longtemps pour réaliser à quel point il est difficile de CONSTRUIRE du muscle et de la patience 🤯 ⁣

Sur cette photo 11 mois d'écart, c'est en voyant mes premiers résultats que ça m'a motivée et d'aller encore plus loin!

Yesterday was a good lesson for me.
Yesterday I learned to embrace the not so happy side of me, the side of me that gets  blue, the side of me that gets overwhelmed. I am an honest person and will never sit here and post on social media how perfect life is all the time because life has it's moments of feeling defeated, let down or confusion and I believe without a doubt that those moments are life's lessons and I will learn from them and embrace them! I had to put on my gangsta rap and put in a good sweat sesh last night and handled that shit! That's the side of me I embrace, the little bit of a rebellious person that fights to get it done. I am grateful for that Shae. Without embracing that Shae I wouldn't have become a coach, I wouldn't have said YES I CAN DO ANYTHING even though there where forces that told me no. I still got up this morning and thanked God for a new day, wrote down all that I am grateful for, pulled my affirmation card, prayed and am ready to embrace this new day! I love what I do! I love who I am! Now that I took care of some aggression yesterday I can now move forward and be raw honest about it. Now let's keep working on those goals my friends! LET'S DO THIS!😁✌💜💪

So after weeks and weeks of hating myself due to the (nearly) 2 stone weight gain since September, falling into that trap of judging every inch of my body and feeling like I’ll never get the motivation back I finally woke up this morning feeling so much better in myself! I’ve been doing the 6 week challenge by @jonnsbodyconditioning and doing the spin classes with @rmfitness95_ and @jonnsbodyconditioning at @shapechangers 🔥 I haven’t weighed myself yet or taken the official transformation photos because I was too scared I wouldn’t see a change but I feel better and I suppose that’s all that matters 💜💪🏼
