Here is what a day of food could look like for someone following a low calorie high to moderate protein intake fat loss diet.

We know, to lose weight we must eat fewer calories than we burn - aka a calorie deficit.
•
This is just a guide to help give you an idea of some of the things you can include in your diet, as you can see we follow a general 80/20 rule.

Mostly whole foods with single ingredients with a little bit of wine and chocolate to finish of a busy day. •
It doesn't matter; it's perfectly fine and much more sustainable than a "clean eating approach" to include some treat here and there while dieting. •
Feel free to adjust this based on your individual needs, and I highly recommend your foods in an app such as myfitnesspal.

If you were to include any drinks; water or calorie-free diet drinks are perfectly acceptable. •
Just note, I am not a registered dietitian, and this is only an example day. •
Your diet should include much more variety with different vegetables, fruits, fats, and protein sources.

For me, it’s been lifting or getting outside in nature. When I’ve had a rough day, I leave my phone at home, grab my dogs, and get outside. This is where I re-set myself and work through the stress. ☀️🏋️‍♀️⛰⁣

14g carbs 3g fat and 54g protein 310 cals ≠======================================== Counting calories and macros isn't for everyone, but if your goals include weight / fat loss, then a calorie déficit is required, this is basically eatless move more, take in less energy (cals) than you exert.... For many this can be a minefield in the unknown,  for someone who never considered calories, have no understanding of macros, it is a big learning curve, not just what foods to eat, but also how do you  know how many calories you should be eating?  To answer this is quite easy, you work out your Tdee, sounds complicated right?  But there are many on line Tdee calculators on line, all you need is some basic info, your age, height and weight.  Once you have this figure then a deficit figure can be calculated for loss - if you have a coach / trainer they are wonderful sources of info.  Once you have your deficit, you then are best advised to track your food, (again there are many out there) .  Tracking food is a great tool, as guessing / estimating can be sabotaging your goal.

If you are looking to be sensible about weight loss, get advice, restriction diets and starving yourself don't work in the long run, take a steady route that changes your mindset and is sustainable for life.

Macros: Taking an intuitive eating approach while I try to grow and build muscle. -

4 large eggs
1 tbsp of olive oil
1/2 cup peppers
6 corn tortillas 
1 cup of mixed fruit -

Nutritious and delicious. Tortillas are a game changer when it comes to eating traditional bodybuilding foods such as eggs, chicken, steak, and ground turkey or lean ground beef... heck, even fish! -

I mean who doesn’t love tacos? -

Intolerant to gluten? Opt for corn. Looking to really boost your carb intake? Opt for flour. 😋💪

So much of my life, I wasted time focused on everyone else's problems. In good ways and bad.

The problem with that was, it allowed me to avoid looking at the issues in my own life. 
When God started nudging me to taking care of my own issues, my whole world changed. It got so bad. Like so bad. Then it got worse. So deep I didn't know which way was out. But then... there was this light at the end of the tunnel. 
Remembering promises and dreams and a life of surrender and peace and joy and healing.

But it all started with me. 
Alone.
Doing the work on the inside to really dig in with a therapist and other professionals to get me squared away.

The problems of everyone else don't consume me anymore because I'm so focused on caring for my issues and sustaining a healthy life. 
And out of the overflow I get to help others find that kind of help, too. I get to be that help I received to pull me out of myself.
