Intermittent fasting is a tool to be able to control hunger, and gives some benefits in terms of insulin sensitivity and recovery. However, it is not the be all and end all of weight loss. ⁠

You need to ensure that you are eating in a calorie deficit or you will still put on weight. Person B is in a calorie deficit so they will lose weight, while Person A will gain weight EVEN THOUGH they are using intermittent fasting!⁠

Sure, it’s not the healthiest diet. But you’re too busy to worry about food really. And the amount you’re eating doesn’t seem like enough to where you LITERALLY cant lose weight.

And I would agree.

But here’s what you’re not counting:

- that latte from Starbucks that’s not calorie free #saywhat
⠀
-  the 3 pieces of Dove chocolates you grabbed from Susan’s stash
⠀
- 5 fries and 3 chicken nuggets from your kids plate #mommybites
⠀
- the 3 glasses of wine that you absolutely deserved
⠀
See, none of those are BAD things. And you know I’ll never ask you to give up your wine. But you have to realize that they add up.

So while you THINK you’re barely eating, you’re actually taking in a lot more calories than you think which WILL hinder weight loss

Omg 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃! I’m taking the turkey challenge today because we had a truck full of 10 pound turkeys at Rotary today to deliver those in need.  So me seeing the turkeys and realizing I lost 6 of those birds 3 years ago was a huge light 💡 bulb moment for me!  I literally could not pick up the box 📦 of turkeys.  I don’t have a clue how I carried all that weight around but what I do know is when I was 60 pounds heavier I was tired, exhausted, achey, and miserable.... and all that weight is why. *Average weight loss on the Optimal Weight 5 & 1 Plan® is 12 pounds. .

➡️ No es la primera vez que escribo sobre el porcentaje de grasa porque hoy cuando fui a entrenar vi que las personas NO progresan! Tienen 1 año entrenando y se ven igualitos. ¿QUÉ ESTÁN HACIENDO MAL?

➡️ En primer lugar: Alimentación! Muchas dietas que tienen se las dan entrenadores, los cuales no tienen las herramientas necesarias para diseñar una dieta personalizada y te dan una general que básicamente trata de quitar carbohidratos de tu dieta ❌ Disminuir demasiadas calorías nos puede hacer bajar masa muscular aumentando la flacidez!

➡️ La gente EXCEDE en cardio antes de cargar peso! El cardio debe ser breve solo para calentar, sino gastarás el glucógeno en ese momento y no rendirás al cargar pesas y al final, el entrenamiento con pesas son los que más nos ayudan con la grasa
.
➡️ ENTRENAR MUCHO TIEMPO. Esto va de la mano con el punto previo: No necesitas estar 2 horas en el gym si tu entrenamiento es puntual y eficiente. La gente cree que por entrenar más tiempo tendrán mejores resultados ❌ Solo generarán CORTISOL que va a complicar el progreso! .
➡️ Dormir muy poco: Si entrenamos cuando no hemos tenido buen descanso, es en vano. Descansando recuperamos los músculos y logramos un buen equilibrio hormonal y metabólico!

➡️ No cometan estos errores! Hidrátense, hagan el ejercicio correcto, NO SE MATEN DE HAMBRE y duerman sus horas 💚 .
