Last year I did “The Last 90 Days” with Rachel Hollis. I can personally testify that it was LIFE CHANGING for me. (Hello lost 90 pounds in 9 months during it). And this year I want to do it with y’all! #BetterTogether ⁣

Y’all. I give my husband SO MUCH shit for takin these pics of me all the time... but the truth is, huntin naps are the freakin best naps everrrrrr! 
I have felt like total dog crap lately, haven’t worked out in 4 days {it keeps me sane y’all and my energy levels have been in the negatives this week}, have napped in between kiddo’s when I have cancellations... & the truth is, all these naps are not even the same level of sleep I get compared to a huntin nap🤷🏼‍♀️ What I wouldn’t give for one of these babies right now on a Wednesday🖤 Anyone else?!?

I wanted more for myself.

I was sick of cringing when I looked in the mirror. I was sick of hating myself when I’d binge after committing to a new “diet”. I was sick of feeling inferior to the woman I knew I could be but I had no clue where to start.

It’s not about the physical gains, the weight lost, or looking better in a bikini. It’s all about the way I look at myself now knowing that I work hard to take care of this body! Knowing I have what it takes not only to rise to the daily challenge, but that I have the ability to help other women rise with me.

I couldn’t have dreamed of this growth a year ago, but now I’m so excited to see where I’ll go! Bikini season may be over, but feeling amazing should be year round!

Spent part of my Sunday getting ready to go all in on another program tomorrow! I’ve found that prepping ahead of time is the easiest way for me to stay on track. I am busy and I am 100% a convince eater so I will grab whatever is easiest. The saying “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” couldn’t be more true!

New year day 2!
Today is just as important as yesterday was with what you are doing to better yourself! It doesn't matter if you set a goal or are just winging it while you're working on your self. What matters is the amount of work and dedication you put into what you are doing! I personally took more time off over break then I probably should have, but during that time I was mentally preparing myself to come back stronger, smarter, and all around more ready for the new year grind! Tonight I did another kettle bell workout that I had from when I taught group fit classes! I like changing it up a bit with these workouts and I'm still in the gym working and getting better. 💪👍💪

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

I used to wakeup every morning and criticize everything about my body in the mirror. I’d twist and turn and pick myself apart- I was uncomfortable in my own skin.

I’d try the little things to get a quick fix like the fad diets, restricting whole food groups, trying random workouts I found on Instagram & Pinterest. I had no structure and no confidence in what I was doing, so of course I saw no changes!? I was frustrated.

So I took a chance on a program I saw working for other women. I didn’t know if it was my “style”, I didn’t know if I’d stick to it, but I needed a change & this was my solution.

Through consistency, working to be a better me inside and out, surrounding myself by positive women, and a set program/meal plan that works, I no longer pick myself apart.

Now when I look in the mirror I see strength. I see confidence. I see results that I’ve worked so hard for everyday. I see the best version of myself because I decided to change it all.

So I ask you... what do you see when you look in the mirror? Final week! I’ve technically got 2 more classes tomorrow but I have to get my photos checked first thing 👀 and because I’m becoming a data nerd, I had to make a chart of the classes I took over the last 40 (!!) days (including tomorrow):
- 5 Cardio Dance
- 15 (!!) HiiT Cardio
- 2 HiiTcore Yoga
- 10 Mat Blast
- 7 MixxedFit
- 7 PowerBarre
- 2 Power Reformer
- 1 Power Reformer Lite
- 4 Power Vinyasa Flow
- 4 Power Yoga Flow
- 1 Recovery Yoga
- 2 Reformer Tone & Stretch
- 9 Strong and Lean
- 1 Yoga Sculpt
- 1 Yoga Flow
In total? That’s 70 (😱) classes. But I survived! I got stronger! And I’ve gotten a lot more toned and have shed some weight! Some days were really hard but I’m so glad I made it. Seriously, if I told you I maintain my physique and fitness all while going to the gym 3x per week and just being slightly mindful of my nutrition…would you believe me?

GETTING fit was the hard part. That, I’ll tell you right now. Change is hard, but only because we as human beings love comfort. We are WIRED for comfort.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But once I became fit, it was all smooth sailing from there. The good habits that I’ve built such as:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅ Going to the gym a few times per week
✅ Eating whole foods (and not whole foods ;))
✅ Drinking enough water
✅ Understanding the basics of nutrition
✅ Having a teeny tiny non negotiable list that I live by
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once I added these habits into my life and reached my goal, I didn’t even have to think about staying fit..
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
…It was all on autopilot. Amazing right? 🤩🛩

My mom always had a beautiful poem by Nadine Stair hanging in the front hall of our house called ‘If I had my life to live over’. It was all about living in the moment, taking more chances, appreciating the small things and not getting caught up in the ‘big’ things. 
I love this reminder to live in the moment. I am trying to live more in the here & now and not days/weeks/years from now. It is so easy to get caught up in thinking ahead and planning that sometimes it is so easy to loose sight of what is right in front of us.

Today is week 8 day 2 of the 8 week program I'm doing! 💪

I'm currently 15 weeks postpartum from a c-section. Our newest was  my 7th pregnancy and 3rd  c-section delivery 👼👩‍🦰👼👼👱‍♂️👼🤱 I also have a fusion at my L1-L5, and a rod in my left femur from a car accident I was in when I was 20. That car accident left me suffering from migraines and  seizures after haveing brain surgery and being in a coma for 2 weeks. Some days it's really hard to get out of bed, due to my head feeling like it's going to explode and my achy body 😬  Thanks goodness for an amazing support system and Accountable group! Those girls rock and I want to show up and inspire all of them! 💯

You're probably wondering how much weight I've actually lost so far 🤔 well I haven't lost any I've actually gained 4lb and the scale seems to love that spot 😲 
Even though I haven't lost any weight I have lost 6 inches 🤗  Did You know you may lose inches without losing weight. That doesn't mean you're not becoming healthier. The point of losing weight is to lose body fat. By exercising, you are likely replacing that fat with muscle. Fat takes up more space than muscle. So even if you're not losing pounds, you are still losing unhealthy fat. .

Setting a healthy example at a young age is so very important! I’m glad I get to help inspire this little one as well as all the other littles I have at school ☺️. Some days are extra tough, but it’s worth it when you see their eyes light up with enthusiasm 💜
