I’ve been going up in weight on all my workouts and kicking ass when it comes to getting my cardio/metabolic workouts in! I’ve learned over the years that the only person in charge of you, is you. If you miss a workout, that’s on you. If you don’t feel like doing cardio, that’s on you. If you choose to eat crap and you’re not seeing results, that’s on you. I push myself harder because I know when I get lazy, I have no one to blame but myself. I try to make future Carly happy, not sad. Sad Carly is not a good Carly lol. Make your future self proud y’all🥰

P.S. No I don’t brush my hair everyday. Feeling sorry for yourself, feeling down, feeling lost and feeling like giving up is not part of your game plan!

Sometimes things don't go the way you hoped and sometimes it all goes wrong and more often than not you will face moments of defeat & hardship on the road to greatness.

But none of that has anything to do with who you are going to be and what you're going to accomplish and what you're going  to do tomorrow!

Keep your eyes and mind focused on the game plan and the outcome and goals you have set for yourself. What happens on the journey doesn't have to change the destination and where you are heading.

When things go wrong and when you start feeling sorry for yourself raise your head and look at your game plan. Look at what you're going to achieve and then get so determined and motivated to reach your summit.

Wake up every morning and make it your mission to go further and go harder than anyone before you and Set a bench mark so high they call you a legend...a genius...a visionary....the greatest of all time!

Get back in the game!

My 3 months weight loss transformation 💪🏼 On the left I was the heaviest I have ever been, sitting at 98kgs I was so embarrassed, shocked and upset with myself. How could I let myself go just like that?! Once I saw those digits on the scale, I realised I had to make a lifestyle change for the better. I stopped eating takeout, I cut down my portion sizes and started eating earlier in the day rather than later, I cut out all bad sugars, artificial juices and soft drinks, I cut out dairy and carbs. Not only did I change my eating habits, I joined the gym and started working out 6 days a week doing high intensity workouts and cardio. 
Today I have never felt better, sitting at 72kgs I could finally say I’m healthy and so incredibly happy. I still have a goal that I need to hit but damn I’m so proud of myself for coming so far in such a short amount of time, losing 26 kilos and achieving the goal that I set for myself that I thought was going to be impossible to reach. 
The advice that I want to give you all is please don’t give up, it may be so hard at the start but once you do start and see results it motivates you to keep going! Believe in yourself, anything is possible! If I can do it, so can you 🙌

Be realistic to yourself. Think positive and accept things you cannot change and go for the things you CAN. Alright, so today I wanted to take some photos during my workout, because the mirror showed me that my muscles was pumping today - incredible motivation btw (!!) So when I had a moment on my own I ran upfront the mirror and started to pose and guess what? The pictures I got - was a damn dissapointment, every picture I took did not show what I was seeing with my own eyes, DAMN. I deleted the pictures and thought about it. A lot of factors has to be in play to get the best shot and today, it wasn't my day - BUT, I still feel F*CKING AMAZING in my body and I really nailed my workout. With this, I am trying to say, don't be dissapointed in pictures, watch you progress trough your own eyes and feel the difference in and on your body instead. At work, I often meet people who work/study hard, train several times a week, and suffer from recurrent pain episodes and injuries in their chosen sport. Many times, in my experience, one of the main problems that keep pain episodes/sports injuries recurring is the lack of proper sleep and recovery. If poor sleep/insufficient recovery time is the reason for recurrent injuries or pain, the only way to resolve the problem is to improve recovery and sleep.

Sartorius is the longest muscle in the body.  Also called the #tailorsmuscle the #sartorius crosses 2 joints: hip and knee. It flexes, abducts & laterally rotates the hip as well as flexes the knee.  When the knee is flexed, Sartorius medially rotates the knee.  Although it’s long, it’s not necessarily the strongest muscle in the body.  In fact, Sartorius acts as a synergistic muscle for the movements it participates in.  If taut or inflamed, however, it can cause pain & limitations in movement in the knee, hip or sacrum 😣 .

While in preparation for a meet, sticking to something that makes sense for you and making small adjustments along the way is the way to go. Drastic changes in one’s approach can only make sense in an off season situation, where it won’t be as detrimental to try new things. @montrealpowerhouse

Ski weekend!! Hi guys 👋🏼👋🏼🤪😘Haven’t been in the gym since Friday but skiing is a great form of exercise ⛷🤪 it strengths your lower body muscles and improves cardiovascular endurance‼️‼️ I’ve been making sure to properly fuel my body so I have enough energy to perform well on the slopes 😊it’s always fun to switch up your exercise!

I’m unfortunately not one of these people who doesn’t ever feel that hungry or forgets to eat 😳

I hear people that saying that they’ll not have dinner if they’ve had a big lunch or they can survive on just snacks throughout the day and I’m sat there like ‘emmm r u ok 🌝’

I’m quite the opposite. I neeeeed food to function, plus I have a sweet tooth 😭 and that can be difficult to manage. My diet sometimes resembles that of an unsupervised child at a party 🤣

For that reason preparation is 100% vital for me personally

Make it as easy as possible for yourself to make good choices! 😅

I started ‘training’ about 7 years ago. I began by going to fitness classes like pump and LBT wanting to change my body but not making any progress for the first 5+ years(4 of those spent as a vegetarian). I was ‘skinny fat’..with no bum 🤭 - under eating, constantly tired/sleeping and hated how I looked.
