🍝 Delicious tomato pasta with kidney beans
~
125g pasta of choice
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
100g mushrooms, chopped
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic granules
1 can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 can chopped tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp tamari
Black pepper to taste
Cook the pasta according to packaging instructions. Meanwhile, add the onion and the carrot to a non-stick frying pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, until softened. Then, add the mushrooms and cook for a further 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste, cumin, and garlic granules and stir to coat the ingredients, then stir in the kidney beans together with the chopped tomatoes, tamari and black pepper. Cook over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes, then drain and rinse the pasta and stir it in until coated in the sauce.

Either don’t stop home after you go to work and go straight to the gym or if you have to stop home stop there quickly have your gym clothes ready & put them on as soon as you get home, do not sit down and get comfy cause you know you won’t get up😂

i know working out helps me concentrate and do better in my uni work but it’s so hard to motivate myself to take time off studying to work out when i’m super behind. staying super organised and disciplined this week is my #1 goal and i’m gonna make it work!!

It’s already December 3rd, and that means there’s only 28 days till 2020! 🤯 I honestly cannot believe it. This year has gone by way to fast and I still have a few things I want to get done before the new year. I have been slacking a little, so that means I’m in full stop procrastinating and get stuff done mode. If you haven’t accomplished all your 2019 it’s not too late keep working on them! I know great things are coming! 🙌🏼✨

Sorry for not posting my best content for the last few weeks. Honestly school & work are getting the best of me right now. That is where the majority of my time has been spent these last few weeks. I’ve picked up more hours & my school work load got multiplied by what feels like 100000000000 .

Good news though! My semester is over next week, so from now on I will be able to spend more time creating content for you guys! I can’t wait for you all to see what I have in stored .

Taking #tacotuesday to a whole new level. Yes I’m eating in my hotel bed because why the f not. Also, hotel bed beers might be better than shower beers. Worked out extra hard for this meal today too! Been keeping track and staying on point with macros while on this work trip. The key is to stay mindful, track your food, and keep up with your workout routine while traveling. Hope you’re all having a fabulous Tuesday!

I would love to encourage you to choose and create what makes you FEEL well, but I can’t make anyone “healthier” just by telling them what or how I eat. To me “healthier” encompasses my evolving relationship with foods that I used to restrict/avoid because they met an exclusion criteria in my disorder mindset. So yes, I love to eat “healthy” things (and I’m loving my @omegajuicing juicer) because they make me feel nourished and whole, but at the same time I also really love to eat a hamburger with sweet potato fries. ♥️

Pork belly burnt ends with the @blackbonebbq sweet heat rub. So damm tasty. Recipe below.

Skin off pork belly. Cut into Slightly bigger then 1 inch squares. Preheat your smoker to 275f (135c). Coat your pork belly in whatever sweet rub you prefer. I use my @blackbonebbq sweet heat rub.  Allow the meat to rest for a couple minutes for the rub to set. Place on a rack fat side down as they may drop down on most grill grates.

Once an internal temp is reached of 190f-195f (90c-95c) which will be around 2-3 hours, pull them off and throw them in a deepish tray and cover with your favourite sauce, honey and a few cubes of butter. Throw it back in uncovered for another hour.
.
Then smash it as fast as humanely possible and regret NOTHING.

Was reading a post from a Facebook group I’m in, and cake across a really long rant and comment thread about Wellness Coaches - how they are predatory and make all sorts of claims and never deliver.

I’m not surprised by comments like these. They also make me a little sad.

For every coach that makes outlandish and unfounded claims to help you cure conditions and achieve the picture-perfect version of health (that always seems includes abs and involves super expensive supplements), there are coaches that stay in their respective lanes, and make no claims other than to try to help you find a place of wellness through basic principles of nutrition and exercise.

Maybe those of us in the latter camp aren’t as flashy, and don’t have super sparkly “signature programs” that make claims of salvation, but I don’t think we need those. We just help get our clients from point A to point B in a way that is meaningful to them. No frills, no fancy sh*t.

Yes, you need business sense to build a business (which includes group programs when appropriate). Yes, you need a message on social media to stand out.

But, ultimately, we also need to be responsible. We need to maintain our firm foundation of service, and staying in our respective lanes.

Maybe the world just needs to pay more attention to the quiet ones out there. *

Some days I feel horrible without makeup, and some days I feel fine.. whyyy?? Girl, listen! That’s okey! In the beginning you’ll feel confident with makeup, and not confident without it, but as you slowly work on yourself, and use a little less every day, you’ll feel amazing without it!

And I don’t mean to say this because I think every girl should quit the makeup, its just think that if y’all are confident with the makeup on, you still need to be confident without it! If your goal is to grow muscle/shape your body, you NEED to take time off from dieting/doing a lot of cardio to do so.

There are 3 years in between these photos ( both close to show) and I was 5lbs heavier on the right and significantly leaner - if I had to guess I would say I have about 7-10lbs more muscle on the right. There is a difference for sure, especially in terms of muscle maturity/density but it’s not a MASSIVE difference in terms of size.

During that 3 years, other than being pregnant and the 6 weeks I took off after having Carter/slowly building strength back up - I was consistent af with my training and eating enough the whole time.
.
.
I’m sorry guys, but especially if you are natural, a 3 month “bulk/offseason” followed by another few months of excessive dieting/lots of cardio/prep is not going to make any substantial changes to your physique. All this is going to do is keep you spinning your wheels and never actually getting anywhere.
.
.
Muscle takes TIME , FOOD( a surplus or at the very least maintenance) and consistent progressive overload with your training.
.
.
Contrary to what most women think you are not going to get jacked AF and “bulky” accidentally, and if your goal is to put on as much muscle as possible make sure you realize that this is a marathon and not a sprint.
.
.
I’ve had a few people ask me why I’m taking so much time off away from the stage, and other than my body just needing a break, it also needs time to grow. Especially because I want to switch over to wellness. To do well I need at least another 5-10lbs added to my stage weight and that’s not going to happen realistically with a 9 month off season.

It takes a long time. But the time will pass anyways and the delayed gratification that comes with playing the long game is so so worth it 😊

Just whisk together one package of sugar-free pistachio pudding, 1/2 a scoop of vanilla protein powder (I used @pescience cake pop powder), 2 cups unsweetened cashew milk, and a 1/4 cup vanilla non-fat Greek yogurt. Let refrigerate for 2 hours or until ready to serve! Try not to eat all in one sitting, if you can 💃🏼

This has been the biggest #transformation I’ve ever accomplished, all in a matter of 12 months. I didn’t just lose 40 lbs of fat mass, I also competed in two bodybuilding competitions, moved to the big city, and started a new career. All of this and more because I met a girl 😏 @biggie.fit

It’s a struggle when it comes to working out. Workouts never seem to stick. You never seem to find that motivation to keep going and time is always against you because you can never find enough of it.

I get it because these were once my thoughts, my struggles. I use to dread my workouts and hated the fact that I had to consistently workout to maintain any kind of results but I hated the body I was in more so I forced myself. Some days I would go, some days I wouldn’t. My results lacked. It made me feel unworthy because I couldn’t stick to it and because I would come home look at myself in the mirror and realize I didn’t look anything close to the gorgeous women with the tiny waist and the perfect hourglass figure. It was frustrating.
.
But Then.....things slowly started changing.
.
I started dealing with my thoughts, excuses, and my self-sabotage.It was then when I realized the toxicity of my behavior and my negative mindset. I had all the control yet I was letting my negative thoughts take over.
. 
It took a lot of self awareness, focus and repetition. Until I suddenly found myself Working out because I wanted to because it made me feel good, strong, and confident. I stopped looking for time and instead I made it. I learned to love my body and care for it.
.
I slowly shifted my mindset and realized that lifestyle changes don’t start with a meal plan or the perfect workout program it starts by getting your mind right and cultivating a healthy perspective and attitude.
.
Your mind is powerful. If your struggling, take note of your thoughts and start by making small shifts in your thinking. Don’t compare yourself to others and focus on your progress only. Love and appreciate your body because you only have one, take good care of it🌟

It’s been 25 weeks since my show.

The other day I had the bright idea to throw on my bikini (you won’t get to see my back pose because my bottoms are a thong now 🍑).
I figured since I’m 20 lbs up from picture 1, I’d have a breakdown after putting on the bikini (so why did I put it on?? lol because I’m a girl and I like to hurt my own feelings ok).
My posing needs some work, I haven’t practiced since July, but here is my body. And I’m laughing because is that the same laundry basket in the background? Did I ever put my laundry away??? Anywho.....

As many negatives that came along with competing, there were so many positives. And I truly miss the routine and structure of prep. I’m still coach-less atm, but I’m definitely getting the itch.

Let's talk about rest days/weeks:

Last week i had lack of motivation, i felt sooooo lazy and didn't feel like to go to the gym, so i guessed my body was telling me to stop for a while🤔. It was this week on the month that all girls hate but apart from the weakness, my thinking all the time was to be on the sofa, so i did. Even though, i went to Muay Thai classes, and 2 days to the gym but wasn't the same as always. Today i feel much much better and i am motivated again to keep going till i get my goals, so i have started the week with a legs session wich was really really good 😊.
What i wanna say is... You need to listen to your body and always do whatever it says. There is nothing wrong if you rest more than usually just cause you feel you need it. I would say is even worse if you don't do it. So do not worry, do not get obsessed and enjoy your rest days as i did 😜. Have a fab day!!! 😘😍.
