Lazy Sunday call for pancakes with all the usual suspects 🥰 yesterday was SUCH a busy day and I barely had any time to sit down for a break, so needless to say I’m really happy to have the day off. It’s only two weeks into the semester and I’m already starting to feel overwhelmed with everything, so finding any time that I can to just slow down and relax is going to be super important!! I hope you all have a nice rest of your weekend ❤️ if you need me, I’ll be flopped down on the couch (in my pj’s of course) doing schoolwork 😅

Happy Monday to you all! I’m feeling so refreshed and ready to take on the week after catching up on some much needed rest yesterday 👏🏻 I can always tell when I haven’t given myself enough time to recuperate over the weekend if I wake up feeling tired/sluggish on a Monday, but luckily that wasn’t the case this morning! Anyways, Ive been craving shrimp like a mad woman these past few days so I put together this simple but delish plate for lunch. Totally hit the spot and reminded me that I need to eat shrimp more often! 🤤 Gonna go to class in a bit and then spend the rest of the evening working on my assignments. I hope you all have a great week! ❤️

So I went back to CrossFit today for the first time since the beginning of November and it felt so good to be back 🥰 I haven’t been doing it in London because I just can’t guarantee I’ll make the class times with my schedule and so a normal gym membership suits me more at the moment. ⁣

We did a snatch complex 10 min EMOM of:⁣
1 hang squat snatch + 1 muscle snatch + 1 10s pause overhead squat ⁣

It’s so good to mix up your training sometimes and challenge yourself. If you’ve never tried CrossFit before, I’d recommend going to your nearest box and chatting to them 🥰 usually you have a few intro sessions when you join and then you’re good to go 🙌🏼 ⁣

So I went back to CrossFit today for the first time since the beginning of November and it felt so good to be back 🥰 I haven’t been doing it in London because I just can’t guarantee I’ll make the class times with my schedule and so a normal gym membership suits me more at the moment. ⁣

Happy FRIDAY!! 😋 Celebrating with another loaded lunch bowl because 1) they’re just too good and 2) it also happens to be fridge clean out day and this girl isn’t about to let ANY food go to waste! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Decided to top my bowl with the most perfect soft boiled egg for some jammy yolk action and it was 😎👌🏻 you guys gotta try it out! Plans for today involve a grocery store run, some meal prep and then schoolwork. I’ll  be pretty busy again tomorrow but I’m looking forward to having a chill Sunday! Hope you all enjoy whatever this weekend brings you 😘

🏋️ my last several training sessions have felt sooo good and I’m very thankful for it 🙌🏻 because I was not having the best sessions for the week before that. Today I hit PRs in all three of my big lifts which is insane to me!! I think that has a ton to do with @javiercorpofort’s training program 🎉 and eating reallll good
.
So for nutrition, I’m actually now up to 400C 75F 180P which is the most I’ve ever eaten 😱 (I’m experimenting with this higher protein number). I’m also up about 5-6lbs since I started this phase at the beginning of January. BUT my body fat is basically the same. It’s probably more water weight, etc, but hopefully more muscle too 😎 I love love love this growing phase! Now for those meals...

Yeah.. it’s definitely a big, loaded Buddha Bowl kind of day 🤩 I came home from class super hungry so I resorted to one of my favorite lunches that never fails to fill me up! I love bowls like these because they’re so easy to switch up with different grains/legumes/veggies and always leave me feeling nourished and satisfied ❤️ probably gonna go take a nap now though because I didn’t sleep very well last night and class took a lot out of me 😂 Have a great Thursday everyone! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Pain levels probably the worst I’ve had in an exam so far - pain radiating in my back through my hip and down my leg. Struggling to see the paper properly and put sentences together. But it’s done 📦✅ Even the invigilator in the rest break area asked me if I was okay 🥴

Yet another day making me very grateful for the people I have around me. Especially those that were there right after the injection (physically and at the end of the phone) for helping me pull myself through those first few weeks, and now through exams 🥴

In November of 2018 I decided I would train for my first bodybuilding competition.
I poured a year of time, tears, lessons, strength and heart into it.
I secretly doubted I would ever succeed... the goal was to hit the stage after 6 months... then 8... then 10... which eventually turned into 12. That shit was so hard. 
I often felt like a failure. 
This picture marks the first time I saw just how much I had changed. The first time I quieted my doubt and thought “oh shit... look what I’ve done” and truly appreciated myself for the work... the 3am cardio, the meal prep and carrying a cooler, the lack of sleep, pushing back the show, changing trainers and never giving up. 
This was September 30, 2019. 
Mind you I started training November 2018... that’s a long time to push for something you’re afraid to fail at. 
But I’m glad I stuck@with it. And I will carry these lessons into this next season/this next prep. 
Thankyou to everyone who has been so supportive of me on the journey; your encouragement and love have sustained me in a way that cookies never could 😉
Never allow time to be a deterrent for your goals; that time will pass anyway. 
And don’t be afraid to commit because you’re afraid to fail. Fail to quit.

Ingredients:
8 oz / 1 standard package of sliced mushrooms (I used baby bella) • 1 cup cooked brown lentils • 1/2 cup of gluten-free bread crumbs (can substitute rolled oats) • 1 small white or yellow onion, diced • 1 tsp avocado oil (or olive oil if you prefer), OR a 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable broth for sauteing if you prefer an oil-free option • 1 flax egg (1 tbsp milled flax mixed with 3 tbsp water) • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced • 1 tbsp Tamari • 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley (feel free to add more or use dried) • 1 tsp dried oregano • 1 tsp dried thyme • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes • salt & pepper to taste. 💚

Ingredients:
8 oz / 1 standard package of sliced mushrooms (I used baby bella) • 1 cup cooked brown lentils • 1/2 cup of gluten-free bread crumbs (can substitute rolled oats) • 1 small white or yellow onion, diced • 1 tsp avocado oil (or olive oil if you prefer), OR a 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable broth for sauteing if you prefer an oil-free option • 1 flax egg (1 tbsp milled flax mixed with 3 tbsp water) • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced • 1 tbsp Tamari • 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley (feel free to add more or use dried) • 1 tsp dried oregano • 1 tsp dried thyme • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes • salt & pepper to taste. 💚

Teriyaki Salmon “Noodle” Bowls 👉🏻 Preheat oven to 350°. Toss bell peppers & mushrooms in olive oil, salt, pepper & cayenne pepper and place on a lined baking sheet. Place salmon on the same sheet. Season salmon with pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, & a drizzle of sriracha. Bake for 30 minutes. While veggies & salmon are cooking, sauté sweet potato noodles in a mixture of soy sauce, sriracha, ginger powder, & creamy peanut butter (I didn’t measure!) Serve in a bowl & top with sriracha & sesame seeds. 🍜

Happy Monday y’all. I hope this video showing pan seared @lobsteranywhere U10 Sea Scallops served over roasted red pepper sauce with a side of Parmesan zoodles makes today a littler better. If you didn’t know Lobster Anywhere has seafood other than lobster... well, you know now!

Dry the scallops and salt one side. Get @madein Carbon steel pan very hot, add oil, then scallops salt side down. Salt the top of the scallops and let cook for 3 minutes. Flip, and cook for another 2 minutes. Meanwhile, add 2 cloves or garlic, 2 roasted red peppers, 2 T mayonnaise, 1/4 fresh lemon juice, dash of red pepper flakes, and 1 tsp of salt to a blender and mix u til combined. Serve the scallops over the sauce with a side of veggies.

I come across a lot of women who are trying to lose stomach fat, build a booty and overall drop their total body fat percentage down but they are going about it the wrong way. We are taught to workout a lot and eat little to see results. I come across a lot of people who are under eating but then wonder why their not seeing results. Guys, you need to actually be eating a good amount of food for you to lose fat and especially build muscle.

If you are working your 🍑 off through your workouts, being consistent with your training but don’t understand why your not seeing the results you want , look at your diet. Look at what you are eating and how much you are eating. It all comes down to diet.

Kroppen kører med 180 i timen og har misforstået noget.. Vægten var desværre endnu engang gået den forkerte vej⬇️. Så vi fortsætter racet og putter endnu mere mad i lille pigen🤪

This new Workout plan has been taking me out of my comfort zone 🥵 I got so used to training 3 days lower body based with a bit of abs 😅 But now I do 3 days full body mostly and 2 days glutes  but I absolutely love it 😍👌🏾 It’s been hard transition to that but I’m learning so much I’ve gained so much strength overall it’s been a big challenge but it’s so worth it ♥️♥️ •

Within your fitness journey your goals will change but with that you must also align your expectations to suit those to avoid dissatisfaction.

If you are training for strength or hypertrophy ( muscle building ) then living in a calorie defecit isn't optimal, higher calories will help fuel performance and growth.
Doing HIIT consistently with the hope of building lean muscle and developing strength isn't desireable either. Infact this type of training has a catabolic effect on muscle.
Hoping to improve endurance without implementing any type of cardio almost seems pointless.

As your fitness goals change so should your training protocol, calorie consumption, and body composition.

Happy Monday to you all! I’m feeling so refreshed and ready to take on the week after catching up on some much needed rest yesterday 👏🏻 I can always tell when I haven’t given myself enough time to recuperate over the weekend if I wake up feeling tired/sluggish on a Monday, but luckily that wasn’t the case this morning! Anyways, Ive been craving shrimp like a mad woman these past few days so I put together this simple but delish plate for lunch. Totally hit the spot and reminded me that I need to eat shrimp more often! 🤤 Gonna go to class in a bit and then spend the rest of the evening working on my assignments. I hope you all have a great week! ❤️

How I feel knowing I no longer give food power over me 🙌🏼

The other day I was talking to a friend of mine who mentioned she has a weakness for fries.

Going along with the conversation, I tried to think about what foods made me “weak” to temptation, and I came up with nothing.

It absolutely stumped me. Why couldn’t I think of ONE food that I would just throw my diet out the window and eat!? Then I realized, it was because I no longer associate food with a moral compass.

If I eat something deemed “bad” (like my daily strawberry poptart ❤️), I don’t immediately repent by skipping my next meal, doing a ton of cardio, or feel guilt.
✨The focus on foods should be shifted to not just the nutritional, but also an emotional value.
✨Food brings me the energy I need to perform daily functions, and it also brings me joy.
✨If I want a donut, I’m gonna eat a donut.

By counting my macros, I’ve been able to create a diet that specifically meets my needs nutritionally with foods that make ME happy.
