MEAL PREP: SHRIMP STYLE! Happy Monday loves. Continuing my meal prep series with a few ideas using one of my favorite proteins. By @starinfinitefood 
I love shrimp because they take on so much flavor and are super easy to make! I simply sautéed a pound of shrimp (seasoned with salt and pepper) in some coconut oil. They typically take 2 mins per side when thawed on medium high unless they are jumbo sized. You could easily steam them as well. Then filled the glass containers with some greens and topped them off! If you plan to reheat the meal, you could put the greens in a separate bag and add them after!•

1️⃣ Greens, sautéed shrimp tossed in cilantro, avocado, sweet chili air fried potatoes and some no added sugar ketchup. 
2️⃣ Shrimp tossed in Teryaki sauce (I used my homemade sauce sweetened with dates), pineapple, cauliflower rice with lime juice and cilantro, avocado and sriracha cashews.
3️⃣ Sautéed shrimp, @eatbanza pasta with my cherry tomato sauce (recipe a few posts back), steamed asparagus and a lemon 
4️⃣ Shrimp tossed in a little lemon, dill, plus some olives, Greek salad (cherry tomatoes, cucumber, feta, dill, salt, pepper, red onion and a little olive oil and lemon), air fried cauliflower gnocchi with paprika and dill. •

When thinking of Valentine’s Day dinner ideas for tomorrow night my mind immediately goes to this lightened up penne alla vodka. 🍝💯💃🏻 I know a lot of y’all are #vegan or have dairy sensitivities and might be missing your creamy pasta sauces, so this recipe is for you! Not only is this version vegan, while still being loaded with creamy flavor, but it’s also gluten-free and loaded with protein and fiber thanks to red lentil penne pasta! Pair this pasta dish with a nice glass of wine and a side salad (my grapefruit avocado salad would be delish and festive) and you’ve got yourself the perfect V-Day dinner! 🍷🥗💗

Now that I’m thinking about it, this might end up being what Isaac makes us for din tomorrow. It’s SO dang easy to make and comes together in just 20 minutes! Hiçbir şey kolay değil emek vereceksin. Ama biz sadece istiyoruz. Hemen 10 kilo vereyim, yaza fit gireyim, hiç hasta olmayayım, sağlıklı bir bedenim olsun. Ama ben bunların için bir şey yapamam arkadaş. Zaten çok yoğun bir işim var, çelik çocuk, stres. Bide kalkıp spora mı gideyim, lahmacun yemek varken salata yiyip mutsuz mu olayım. Halbuki farkında değiliz. Asıl evde yatıp yuvarlanırken, tatlıları götürürken içten içe mutsusuz. Ha bununla da gerçekten mutlu olanlar vardır sözüm onlara değil onlar zaten seçimleriyle mutlu. Ben burdan bunlarla mutsuz olanlara sesleniyorum ve lütfen kendiniz için bir şeyler yapın diyorum. Amaç zayıflamak ve fit olmaktan öte. Amaç yaşadığımız her anın keyfini çıkarmak ve mutlu olmak. Friday's meal of indulgence. My sister and I had a night out together. We seriously chose Carrabba's restaurant because of their Blackberry Sangria. M mm mmm! It's SO GOOD! We had mozzarella marinara, salad, then I had steak marsala with garlic mashed potato. What you can't tell is I ate about half of all of my plates. I didn't feel stuffed when we left, and I don't feel guilty today. It feels good to take control! I enjoyed every bite. Cheers to the weekend, kids! I'm off from work (other than tutoring) next week! Yay February break!

So I stopped drinking coffee.... ⠀
It just didn’t make me feel good. I felt easily agitated and sweaty every morning. Last year I first switched to decalf and although I noticed a bit of change it was still making me feel off and dehydrated. ⠀

When I first stopped drinking the caffeinated coffee...OMG I suffered through horrible headaches for 5 days. I found out that the reason for the headaches was because caffeine slows down the blood flow to the brain and when we stop there is an abundance of flow which triggers the indescribably headaches. I said to myself I will not consume something that does that to my body when I stop. It’s like a drug! ⠀

In todays society we are conditioned by the coffee industry that we "need" it to wake up. It isn’t true, and after coming off the withdrawal of coffee you will be surprised by the energy you have. ⠀
All coffee does is give you fake energy that leaves you depleted hours later. ⠀
⠀
I know enjoy Dandy Blend, Chicory Coffee warm Chlorella latte or just simple warm lemon water. They are much more enjoyable and most importantly I feel a lot better! ⠀
