This Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Pasta is a dish that is packed with cheesy, rich flavor, loaded with chicken and broccoli. It's prepared all in the same pot to ensure each bite is tasty and easy to whip up in a flash! This one pot dish by @jocooks only takes 30 minutes to make this incredibly delicious dish!

1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb chicken breasts in small pieces
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
1 onion chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
8 oz pasta uncooked, such as penne, shells, rigatoni, etc.
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups milk
2 cup broccoli cut into small florets
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and season them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and starts to lightly brown.
Add the onions, garlic and cook for another 2 minutes until the onions softens.
Add the pasta, chicken broth, milk and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to low, stir, cover the pot/skillet and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta cooks through.
Uncover the pot and stir in the broccoli. Continue cooking until all the liquid evaporates. Stir in cheese. Taste for seasoning and adjust with salt and pepper if needed. Serve while warm.

1️⃣ 🍍PROTEIN TROPICAL YOGURT
1 cup frozen tropical fruit
3/4 cup full fat Greek yogurt
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/3 cup almond milk or milk of choice

2️⃣🍯HOT or COLD OATMEAL
This recipe contains some of my favorite oatmeal toppings including: almond butter, dark chocolate chips and fruit!

3️⃣🍳PROTEIN EGG MUFFINS
6 eggs, 1/4 cup pepper, 1/4 cup feta, 2 tbsp onion, 3 tbsp sun dried tomatoes. Combine ingredients then place in 6 greased muffin tins and bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.

4️⃣ 🍘OATMEAL BALLS
1/2 cup peanut butter, 1 cup oats, 1/3 cup seeds.
Place all ingredients in a bowl, mix and form into balls. Place in covered container and put in fridge for up to 1 week!

5️⃣🍧SMOOTHIE BOWL RECIPE
Greek yogurt, milk, fruit, coconut, granola, nut butter and seeds is a delicious recipe high in protein 💪🏻

Alternative for vegans: — grapefruit (150g, instead of salmon) — vegan mozzarella (60g, instead of egg). Your total calorie intake is 317kcal.

Made within about 15 minutes (probably less), a friend and I ate together after a 7.6km run. We try to cook together in order to motivate each other to maintain a healthy diet. ▪️▪️▪️

Fried onions, pork steak and vegetables.

I would estimate that it probably contains less than 600 calories.

That's without any fancy meal kits, slimming world recipes or anything.

What's even better is it took around 20 minutes to make from scratch! .
And it definitely beats a salad 🥗

Eat a similar meal for lunch and then something healthy for breakfast and you're looking at around 1800 calories per day.

That would probably be enough for most people to lose weight.

Also it gives you that wriggle room for when you have a treat or big meal 🍖

And it doesn't force you to starve yourself either! .
So that way you eat good and feel good while losing weight!

Do you ever get meals catered at work? 🍕We used to get pizza every Friday at the last office job I had. At prior jobs we had pizza AND bagels 2x a week.

😔Free office food was a huge pain point for me. On one hand, it was free! 💸On the other hand, pizza and bagels every week made me feel so bad physically. It wasn’t an ideal way to nourish myself (and that’s one of the main reasons I started meal prepping). Plus, the free office food played a huge part in the binge and restrict cycle I was trapped in back then.
.
👇🏼Finally I realized that...
.
1) I could PLAN to eat the pizza at work by not bringing lunch that day. Then I wouldn’t have to feel guilty about wasting food or feel guilty about eating 2 lunches (thanks, diet culture)
.
2) The only reason wanted the pizza so bad is that I was RESTRICTING myself. In my head, pizza was “bad” and off limits. The office pizza was my chance to stuff 3 slices in my face before going “back to clean eating.” ❌ My relationship with food was unnecessarily stressful.
.
And 3) once I gave myself permission to eat the office pizza, I realized it actually wasn’t that good quality in terms of flavor and texture. If I want pizza, I want a GOOD pizza, not just because it’s there and it’s free. I’d rather pay for the good stuff and be even more intentional about enjoying it- somewhere that’s not at my desk in an office.
.
👍🏼So I went back to bringing meal preps on most (not all) Friday’s because my home cooked food was actually more appealing to me than the mediocre free office pizza.

Triple none scale victory! -
Did a sample workout with my new trainer. 20 minutes. Constant movement.  Boy did it kick my ass!  It’s been a minute since I’ve worked out!  Even though I had to modify and take a little break here and there I did it!  Covered in sweat with a smile on my face because, I DID IT!!!

What most of you don’t know his that almost two years ago I found out I was type two diabetic. And even though it runs in my family when I found out I felt like my world just crumbled!! It’s a scary feeling knowing somethings wrong in your body and you don’t know how to fix it! -
I focused hard on my nutrition for about seven months and dropped my A1 C down to prediabetic range!  In my mind I was cured and I could afford the splurge here and there. But one splurge turned into two, which turned into no focus. This past July, only two short months ago, I found my blood glucose over 300!  Right then I knew it was time!  Focus was going to be a life long thing!  This wasn’t just a here and there thing, it was time for a lifestyle change. I started limiting the amount of carbs and sugar that I brought into my body and adding healthy carbs and healthy fats was my first goal!

Over the last two months my focus has paid off and I can say that even though my A1 C test isn’t till the end of October my daily blood glucose is between 90 and 115 and that’s my second non-scale victory! -
Last but not least, the yellow shirt I’m wearing!  It was a gift I got this past Christmas that didn’t fit!  At that time Mt weight was around 240 to 245 pounds. I won’t say what the number on the scale is, that’s something I’ll share later, but the shirt fits it fits well and I have room and that’s amazing non-scale victory number three! -
Don’t give up!  It’s never to late!  I hope my journey can touch one person out there!  That will bring me JOY and push me to keep going further!

Such a filling meal ,  quick meal to make and  one of my favourite 😍

First I used one calorie spray and Fryed the chicken till it’s cooked. Remove the chicken from the frying pan and Then cut and fry the veg your want. Add to the pan a chicken stock in boiling water with the chicken and noodles. Do you have to count calories to lose weight? Nope. You don’t.

Does it help? Absolutely. It will remove a lot of the guesswork and make it nearly impossible to fail in the weight loss game if you do it consistently and correctly.

However, it’s not for everyone. Trust me. Let me give you an example: I ask a client who starts training with me if they’d be willing to count calories. I mention it will take effort and it can be tedious, but it is very effective.

They say yes, but when I look at their log the following week, it’s empty. OK, no problem, let’s get started next week.

I look the following week. No log. They’re not tracking.

So what do I do in this situation? Do I demand they track calories or I refuse to help them? Some may decide that’s the way to go about it. For me, absolutely not. No way.

Let’s focus on one habit. One. Based on your 3-5 day food log, where do you think you can improve most?

Most clients already know the answer. Just telling them what to do won’t make them own it. If we *collectively* decide what habit will help them the most, they’ll be more likely to actually adhere to it.

These are all habits that will help you lose weight without counting calories. Again, there’s nothing wrong with counting calories.

But there’s also nothing wrong with not counting calories.

Guten Morgen ihr Lieben 🙋🏽‍♀️ es ist Donnerstag und das bedeutet: Vizefreitag! Nur noch ein Tag trennt mich vom Wochenende 🤗 Auch wenn das wieder komplett verplant ist, freue ich mich drauf 😍 Wir sind wieder auf zwei Geburtstagen und am Sonntag gehen wir essen. Und Zack ist das Wochenende wieder rum. Was habt ihr schönes geplant? 
Heute Morgen bin ich wieder um kurz nach 4 aufgestanden und habe mein Sportprogramm durchgezogen 💪🏼 Ich find es immer noch faszinierend, dass ich das so frühe Aufstehen an den Donnerstagen immer schaffe 😅 Gut, dass ich das nur einmal die Woche mache.

Kommen wir zu meinem Abendessen von gestern: Es gab wie schon angekündigt Zero Rice mit Hähnchen süß-sauer mit Chinakohlsalat für 451 kcal. Lecker war's, heute Abend gibt es das nochmal 🤤 Nun geht es ab zur Arbeit.
