Shredding or "cutting" means losing fat and bulking means building muscle. It can be efficient to focus on these goals in seperate cycles, as your diet and training style will change depending on which cycle you're in. The main difference between the cycles is your calorie intake. To bulk up, you need to take in more calories to support heavier weight training. The idea is to eat more but still minimise fat intake, as you're going to be shredding this fat later. To shred, you need to burn more than you consume. Friday night #fitfam. How about you go to town & jazz up your grilled chicken /fish with my famous 'Diavola Sauce' ๐Ÿ˜œ Ingredients: 1 chopped onion 1 clove garlic (chopped) 1 bag of good cherry tomatoes (cut em in half) chilli flakes olive oil good red wine brown sugar & chopped parsley
1. Fry onion & garlic in a few tablespoons of olive oil on medium heat until onions are soft
2. Add tomatoes fry till they start to soften (not mush)
3. Add a glug of red wine and simmer till sauce thickens
4. Add a teaspoon of brown sugar (a must!!!)
5. Add chopped parsley, chilli flakes & salt/pepper to taste. 
6. Smother your chicken / fish with the sauce.

I added THESE mussels to my lunch to build MY muscles! 1 serving (100g) contains: 1g Carbohydrates, 2g Fats, 15g Protein. In addition to a healthy Low-fat salad, I added the mussels atop a bed of Olive oil & Garlic Couscous for a post-Workout lunch... nutrient-dense and DEE-licious! During this cycle I am changing my diet structure to High-Protein, Mod/High Carbs (LOW-Sugar), LowFat (45-40-15) to change things up and burn energy in a different way, as I still continue by 24-Hour fasts once a week and daily IF. Apart from a few years of my health and fitness going up and down like a yo-yo, trying to perfect walk the dog, being lazy like yajirobe, eating cold beans out the can and drinking bare beer etc I am now the fittest and happiest I have ever been in my life! Went Shorts shopping today and I can now say I am a size 0 in juniors. ๐Ÿ™ˆ I tried on a size 3 and 5 because well thatโ€™s what I expected since my size 7 that I just bought last year donโ€™t fit anymore. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Not that Iโ€™m a size 0, but because there is p r o g r e s s even if sometimes, or most days, I donโ€™t see it. I like the scale and tracking everyday, but sometimes your body gets to that point where you stop losing on the scale, but you still change, or โ€œrecompโ€. Take measurements, go by how your clothes fit, go try on smaller size clothes (or bigger if youโ€™re bulking!) So much change has happened and I didnโ€™t really notice or appreciate it until yesterday. Been bulking since late August and not bad, lost definition in parts but that was expected. This turned out well and now after New Year's I will start doing Keto again for several months and going cold turkey again on booze and cigs. Then from there it's turning any extra bulking weight into some more muscle mass while getting cut again. With stuff like this patience is a virtue, many would be wise to remember that when attempting bodily changes like I have.

[ CURRENT CONDITION ] 
While everybody is posting photos of how lean & great they look for summer, Im gonna post a photo of myself from today. 
Still on my 8-week bulking cycle, yet it is soon to be coming to an end. 
My feelings at the moment about it are:

Thicker than a snicker.
Curvy as a hippo. 
Heavier than ever.
Feel like a sausage inside clothes. 
Every step taken feels like I'm moving a truck. 
This is the 1st time I've ever done a proper bulk. 
Was always too scared of getting fat & thick, like I am now. 
I may not be truly happy with how I look when looking into the mirror, but I'm learning to love the result from it.

Which is?
Stronger.
More muscular.
More athletic.
Less shmiggle.
Less little girl.
More power.
Strong is sexy. 
So I'm trying to embrace it. 
Loving the journey.
But looking forward to see what's under this blanket.

Still sitting @15% BF according to my callipers reading or 12.1% according to the Bio-electrical impedance analysis with a 3.5kg gain in LMM.

Second squat day of the week 
Tue i got 5x3 @ 135  no video 
And really happy with todays sessions 
Meant to be pause squat at 115 but managed 3x1 @ 120 and a personal best of 130. Power feeling good in my legs even after a week of 110km on the bike.
