What is interesting is the depth jump had the high eccentric loading, requires the highest forces and occurs over the shortest period of time! These characteristics are unique to that of “shock” training like methods - where kinetic energy is used as a means of load, typically via a falling object (your body in this case)

Because of the large, rapid impulse shock method type training is designed to target the local physiological tissues and the central nervous system (reflex pathways). Other types of jumps don’t have these same properties, which is why they can be used for different means - force time characteristics allow us to better categorize, identify and program plyometrics for different reason. .

BENCH PRESS

This is one of the most important upper-body exercises. Not only is it crucial for upper-body muscular development, but it's an exceptional strength builder.

Many people think the bench press is just a chest exercise, but your triceps, shoulders, back, and even your glutes are involved.

Last of the 5 sets of 5 reps on barbell bench press, with 5ct pauses (52.5kg). This was the second exercise, after some 3 sets of 5 action doing slingshot barbell bench press, with 3ct pauses (67.5kg). Feeling stronger every day 💪

OK, a new week has started. I was driving in my car for a couple of hours today.
So I really took my time to warm up for heavy squats. I made sure my lower back was as mobile and warm as possible before I even started to add weight on the bar.

You only have one body. Taking an extra 10 to 20 minutes to warm up and not to injure yourself is a small investment. It's going to save you a lot in the long run, as you'll be able to be more consistent and add more training days to your lifting career.

I did 3x4 130 kg. It was OK, I wasn't as tight as I ought to be and I'm wasting energy by going way beyond depth.

I was supposed to bench 1x2 with RIR 2. Usually I overshoot my RIR. I guess today I undershot it with 77,5 kg

It was followed by 2x5 75 kg and 2x5 52.5 kg strict OHP.

Little late this week but I remembered to post 😂 last week of that mini block. Glad to see the back of 5x2 on sq/DL tbh, those suck... BUT they make me stronger so I can't complain too much. 252x3@8 DL, +7 from last week which is solid. Hips were a little lower than I'd like, need to keep control of that when I'm hyped up. But actually having the fire and enthusiasm to get hyped in the first place again is something I'm happy about. Squat is climbing back up, still getting little knee twinges here and there but I'm actually able to focus more on the lift now rather than my knee. 210x3@8 there, twinged on the last rep which raised the RPE as my focus shifted. Bench is getting back into its groove too, 132x3@7.5. not fully there, but almost. Also 250x3@8 beltless deadlift which amazed and perplexed me... Hip position was even better here than the belted day. Motivated to move on to the next block and get back to full strength and beyond

The worst bench day I've had in a long time. Sore, exhausted, and hungry af were all contributing factors. After these 2 sets I called it quits and did my accessory stuff. 315lbs +40lbs chains for a single, and 305lbs +40lbs chains for a struggle bus triple. Better luck next time.

Some bench progress today after warming up with OHP with 65kg and upright rows for my dodgy shoulders. 3 sets of 8 to 12, got 12 12 10 with a couple in reserve on the last set.
 First week moving upto 102.5kg from 100kg. Will hit full reps next week then proceed to 105kg. Progressive overload gains. Making tiny weight and rep increases over a period of time is defintely helping.

Weighed in at 87.7kg this morning.

Its crazy the amount of energy you can have when having a workout partner. Hit a PR today 315lb for 10reps follow by 100lb DB press for 29 reps. Starting this year off to a great start im excited to see how much more i can improve before the year is out.

In 2016 I was doing a deadlift competition with my friend I made the mistake of jerking the weight up and threw my back out the injury was so bad that the doctors told me I wouldn't be able to lift or fight again and they just prescribed me painkillers and muscle relaxers which eventually became my addiction I couldn't walk without feeling pain so I stayed in bed then one day I decided I had enough of the self-pity this is my comeback story
