Why is doing the math of my weights one of my top struggles with squats and deadlifts?? 😂😂 Had thought I was doing 215 for my first two sets until I realized it was 205🙄 My phone calculator is a must⁣

Had a goood leg day with these two though! Got home and my legs were like plz lay down asap. Didn’t quite follow my split last week bc I missed a leg day, but this week ima be back and betta then eva⁣

There are so many things that I could say about this 4 year transformation, but one thing I’d like to focus on is my mindset. In the left photo, I wanted to be skinny w/ abs. Although there is nothing wrong with being that way, what I was doing to get that was not healthy. I was really strict with my food to the point where I would get anxious about going out to eat and social events where I didn’t know what exactly was in the food. I was more focused on the way I looked than being healthy or strong. ⁣

Today, I am more focused on my overall health, how I’m feeling/energy levels, and my strength. I still have physique goals, but the difference is that that isn’t my complete focus. My life is so much more balanced! It’s crazy to think back to how I used to be, because I can’t even imagine being that way again.⁣

Be proud of how far you have come! It’s easy to forget, but it’s important to reflect to continue to grow!⁣

There are so many things that I could say about this 4 year transformation, but one thing I’d like to focus on is my mindset. In the left photo, I wanted to be skinny w/ abs. Last weekend another group of men wrapped up their journey through SPM - my group coaching program for men.⁣⁣⁣
➡️Men who chose to play above their current ceiling, which meant they had to admit they didn’t have all the answers to do so. As none of us do🙋🏻‍♂️⁣⁣

Seeing the awareness, action, and growth in them in 6 short months is something I don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of. Words like:⁣⁣⁣

So many friends send me DMs asking for fitness and weight loss advice... and they also send me messages when they "fall off" their routine and feel defeated.  They seem so frustrated and down on themselves, so I thought this was a great opportunity to show folks that it's just part of the process. 
So I am happy to share that I totally got little pudgy during my two weeks of jacuzzi chillin, barely doing cardio and eating out daily in Las Vegas... and guess what? It's all good. 
The same thing happened when I went to NYC for #Pride week June and when my family came into town for Thanksgiving - I just didn't post about it.  But it felt important to explicitly share with you all that the process is never linear.  Each time, I eventually returned to #wholefoods + lifting and the #abs popped back out 😉. Fell right back into my normal routine once I returned to LA a few days ago.  Craving kale and sweet potatoes again (#nomnom 😻😻) and working out at my favorite gym in the world, @fitness19eaglerock ❤❤. Today's workout was dope:

85 inverted rows
15 chinups
58 barbell squats
1200 jumps on jump rope
30 leg raises
4 static stretches (3 sets)

This workout was really about endurance and I surprised myself 😻😎🤩. P.S. miss you @roccokatastrophe...
