Happy hump day, how’s everyone’s week going so far? ⁣
I’ve managed to get up early everyday and exercise (tai chi/yoga/barre) to set me up for the day, followed by weights and a walk in the evening. I feel much better for it as I love structure and being busy. ⁣

Everyone’s work and home situation is completely different so you have to find what works for you, stretching before work and a walk to clear my head after helps me greatly, I work out in the same room I work in so it can get quite claustrophobic. ⁣

This UA Iso-Chill tank is serving its purpose so well now that I am gonna be working out outdoors more often than before. Its ribbon-shaped nylon fibers disperse heat, while titanium dioxide—the stuff in sunscreen—pulls away heat, making it feel cool to the touch. Mesh fabric also wicks sweat & dries really fast! There's even a pocket on the right side (can't see from this photo) for storing energy gels (or hand sanitizer 🤷🏻‍♀️) .

This UA Iso-Chill tank is serving its purpose so well now that I am gonna be working out outdoors more often than before. Its ribbon-shaped nylon fibers disperse heat, while titanium dioxide—the stuff in sunscreen—pulls away heat, making it feel cool to the touch. Mesh fabric also wicks sweat & dries really fast! ~*details*~⁣ do each exercise for 4 sets, 15 reps (each side when applicable). today i did each exercise like a circuit so i did each exercise back to back then restes for 1-2 mins before doing the next set. i usually don’t do this, but today i was feelin it 💫⁣
• squats⁣
• reverse lunges⁣
• glute bridges⁣
• frog pumps⁣
• lateral lunges⁣
• good mornings (i used the backpack for a lil resistance)⁣

Because I get bored easily, I have to make my workouts a little extra 💁🏼‍♀️ -- by adding gymnastic movements, of course!  I did this ab circuit yesterday and it was AWESOME!  Thought I would share some of my crazy workouts with you.  I've never done this before so if you want more ideas, let me know!  It's fun to get creative with workouts! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

🇬🇧💪🏼Main goal of this workout is muscle hypertrophy.
⚠️This workout isn't better than gym because weights can provide better muscle isolation.
📈However, my knowledge makes it possible for me to work on hypertrophy even at home and I made this workout suitable for everyone - you can adjust each exercise to make it easier or harder.
💯If it is so hard for you that you can't make more than 10 reps, that is hypertrophy.

When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it makes vitamin D from cholesterol. The sun's ultraviolet B (UVB) rays hit cholesterol in the skin cells, providing the energy for vitamin D synthesis to occur. Vitamin D has many roles in the body and is essential for optimal health. 
Our bodies must have Vitamin D to promote bone growth and absorb calcium. Too little Vitamin D results in osteomalacia which is fragile bones in adults.

Vitamin D is needed for healthy bones, teeth and muscles.

🐔 Going to the gym in the morning is a great way to start the day, especially if your goal is to burn fat.⁠
⠀⁠
This also clears up some free time in your schedule in the evening so you're free to do what you want (perhaps another workout? 😉).⁠

Working out in the morning can also help with reducing morning tiredness if you suffer from taking hours before really 'waking up'. Usually, there are way fewer people in the gym in the mornings than in the daytime, so there's no line for the bench press on Monday morning! 💪⁠

⭐️ If you like to sleep in, evening workouts might be a better fit for you!⁠
⠀⁠
The calories from the food you consumed throughout the day can help you perform better in your strength workout and can get you that extra rep!⁠

If you're easily persuaded to go follow your friends to the bar and get waaay too many 🍻 chugged down, evening workouts are a great way to stay committed without having to turn down your friends - Bring them with you to the gym and chug a protein shake instead! 🥤⁠

Before we share the recipe, we wanted to say this is a great meal prep recipe as well!! ⁠

Okay, now for the yumminess!⁠

Ingredients:⁠
◼️ 1lb boneless, skinless chicken  breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces⁠
◼️ 1 large head of broccoli, chopped (about two cups)⁠
◼️ 2 medium red bell peppers, cut into chunks⁠
◼️ 1 cup snap peas⁠
◼️ Salt and pepper, to taste⁠
◼️ Optional toppings: sesame seeds and green onions⁠
⁠
For the Sauce:⁠
◼️ 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce⁠
◼️ 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce⁠
◼️ 2 tbsp honey⁠
◼️ 2 cloves garlic⁠
◼️ 1 tsp fresh ginger⁠
⁠
Instructions:⁠
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F⁠
⁠
2. To make the sauce: In a small saucepan, heat soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey, garlic and ginger on medium heat and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and allow sauce to simmer, whisking occasionally, until sauce is thick and bubbly. Remove from heat.⁠
⁠
3. Spread chicken and chopped veggies on a baking sheet sprayed with PAM cooking spray and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle half the sauce over the chicken and veggies (reserving the other half for later) and toss to combine. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, tossing halfway through, and continue cooking until veggies are tender and chicken is cooked through.⁠

4. Drizzle remaining sauce over top and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. You can eat this alone OR serve over brown rice or quinoa!⁠

Here’s a little leg circuit that will have your lower body totally sore! ⁣

If you think you can’t get a good workout in at home your wrong! ⁣
⁣
I get it we don’t have a lot of resources at home right now but the goal here is to optimize the muscle we do have and preserve it. ⁣
⁣
If we are smart and have the mind muscle connection to do so we can make ourselves work extra hard! ⁣
⁣
I used to think home workouts were pointless, but boy was I wrong, yesterday was the hardest workout I put myself through and I even wanted to throw up after—almost. ⁣
⁣
I was surprised with just a short of amount of exercise and time that I really felt that way! ⁣
⁣
It is possible to preserve our goals you guys and keep working on them! ⁣
⁣
Try this: ⁣
⁣
100 squats x2( I eventually broke it down into sets of 20) ⁣
Superset ⁣
With 30 seconds of split lunges ⁣
⁣
Then this squat variation squat to back lung to knee up 3x10 on each leg squat in between each lung. ⁣
⁣
End the workout with 50 hip thrusts and you will be  sweating! ⁣
⁣
Don’t under estimate a home workout! ⁣
⁣
