When I embarked on my weight loss journey in 2009, I never thought about the future. I remembered at that point I still was sitting for my medical school admission tests and I really wanted to be a doctor.

So when I flunked my admission tests, not once not twice but 3 times (yup... 😂) I realised I probably am not meant to be a doctor.

Disappointed, I decided to lose weight. I guess I had to do something.

So I went on an extremely low calorie diet. Lost 20 kilos in 8 months. And thought that was the end. But it wasn’t. I struggled with binge eating. I was beating myself up each time I didn’t do a workout. And I was just... sad. Mentally and physically.

See all my life I had one huge dream. I always wanted to help others. It was the reason why I wanted to be a doctor in the first place and when I didn’t and I lost weight, I knew I had to help others be the best versions of themselves as a trainer and a coach.

But the real deal isn’t the fact that I lost 20 kilos in 8 months. It’s the fact that even 10 years later in 2019, I’m still maintaining these weight, probably even feeling better and healthier every single day.

A lot of people can lose a whole lot of weight in a short time. But I really pray you have the strength in you to help yourself first, don’t focus on short term, instant gratification and focus on long term results. Take it slow. Because when you do it slowly, you basically learn so much more on how to sustain a healthy lifestyle. Instead of just losing weight for a short period of time.

تا حالا #آزمايشگاه رفتین که #آزمایش_کبد بدین؟ دیدین که سمت چپ برگه یه سری حروف انگلیسی نوشته و جلوش یه سری عدد هستن
همیشه خوندن این برگه سخته و یجورایی خیلیا از عهده اش بر نمیان. امشب میخوایم باهم خوندن برگه آزمایش کبد رو یاد بگیریم☺️☺️😍
تو این برگه چند مورد هستن که از همه مهم ترن. اولین مورد سطح آنزیم #SGOT هستش که برای بررسی مقدار آسیب کبدی استفاده میشه. مقدار این آنزیم برای خانم ها باید زیر 31 و برای آقایون زیر 37 باشه
دومین مورد سطح آنزیم #SGPT هستش که این مورد هم برای بررسی مقدار آسیب کبدی استفاده میشه. مقدار این آنزیم برای خانم ها باید زیر 31 و برای آقایون زیر 41 باشه
سومین مورد مهم #کراتینین خون هستش که باید بین 1.4 تا 1.7 باشه و اگه بین این دو عدد نباشه یعنی به #کلیه ها آسیب وارد شده
مورد چهارم #اسید_اوره هستش که باید بین 3.5 تا 8.2 باشه و در غیر این صورت خبر خوبی نیست بالا بودن اسید اوره نشون میده خطر ایجاد سنگ کلیه و نقرس خیلی بالاس
شما تا حالا آزمایش کبد دادین؟ اگه سخته براتون که بخونینش تو دایرکت بفرستین که براتون تفسیرش کنم...✌🏻🤚🏻

در راستای پست قبل میخوام راجب عوارض دیر بیدار شدن و سحرنخیزی🙈 بگم براتون.
بهترین ساعت برای #بیدار شدن ساعت ۵ صبح هستش (منظورم افرادیه که ١١ میخوابن چون کسی که ساعت ١١ به بعد می‌خوابه با #چوب هم نمیشه ساعت ۵ بیدارش کرد😅). در کل خوابیدن بین ساعت های ۵ تا ٨ ضررهای جسمی زیادی داره که باعث میشه بدن کم کم رو به #زوال بره. 
شما تا ساعت چند میخوابین و خوابتون چند ساعته؟ 
دوستای خواب‌آلوتون رو تگ کنین ❤️❤️

Press ups are a really common exercise and are great for increasing upper body strength....... But only if done correctly!

Doing press ups with poor form won't give you the results you want, or even worse, could cause an injury.

Where form often goes wrong is at the angle of the elbow. If the elbows are flared too much as shown in the INJURY DOMINANT photo you will put unnecessary strain on your shoulders.

Decreasing the angle of your elbows as shown in the TRICEPS DOMINANT photo will really work the muscles in the back of your arms.

For a standard press up:
Place your hands slightly wider than shoulder width apart. 
Bend your elbows to lower your chest to the floor, elbows moving back towards your hips (as shown in the CHEST DOMINANT photo above). The closer you can get to the floor with correct form the better!

Chocolate coconut and peanut butter protein balls 😊😊😊 These are so easy to make , and delicious ..taste like snickers and bounty mixed 😍😍 INGREDIENTS ➡️3 scoops protein powder (I use chocolate peanut. ➡️40g coconut oil ➡️40g honey ➡️40 g cocoa powder ➡️100g peanut butter ➡️150g desiccated coconut

METHOD ➡️Combine all dry ingredients in bowl ➡️Melt together peanut butter 🧈 coconut 🥥 oil and honey 🍯 ➡️Mix everything in bowl ➡️Make into 16 balls (possibly 17 as one fell in my mouth before photo 🤣) ➡️Roll in coconut ➡️Store in fridge

Being injured and in pain can be extremely distressing.

You may feel stressed or get depressed or anxious. And these feelings may make your pain worse, because they can make it harder to manage your pain.
And how you think affects how you feel. Negative thoughts can make stress and pain worse.

This dilemma is so common that the Buddhists long ago reduced it to a formula: Pain x Resistance = Suffering. Fighting against, or resisting, the reality of the pain in your life creates suffering.

The way to heal and move beyond the pain is to accept it and find ways to nurture the pain or injury.
•
Accepting the pain and injury helps us to move from being victim and into taking control and making choices about what we can do to address it.
•
We all need some support at some time or another, support from friends and family can benefit. As well as getting support and guidance from practitioners who are used to helping and are experienced working with people who are in pain or injured.
People who can guide you with exercises, diets, techniques that work to help you move forward positively.

Não é de hoje que a humanidade enfrenta situações calamitosas envolvendo microseres tão espertos como os vírus. E passamos por elas. Tivemos perdas mas também evolução científica. I often get asked ‘what exercises are best in order to burn fat?’ and the truth is, there really is no specific exercise that works magic. Ultimately it comes down to your intensity and how hard you choose to push yourself (staying safe at ALL times of course 😉)
.
There are many different training principles that you can play around with in order to intensify your workouts which will demand more energy, therefore burning more calories in the long run. Below should explain more...
.
FREQUENCY - this could be the amount of times you train a week, or how many times you do ‘that’ class, or even how many times you train a specific muscle group
INTENSITY - this links to the load you’re pushing/pulling (eg: squatting, rowing, pressing), or how high the resistance is on your Spin bike, or even the speed you’re running at on the treadmill
TIME - how long your workouts are, ‘Time under Tension’ (TUT) which is how long a specific set of muscles are contracting for (are you rushing through sets or challenging the targeted area under control at all times)
TYPE - what type of training are you actually doing? Is it Strength, Endurance, Cardio, Classes, Bodyweight, Machines or Free-weights?

As you can see there’s a lot more to it than just finding the ‘magic exercise’ but this video proves that free-weights aren’t only for men (as many people tend to believe).

💁🏽‍♀️ @marinna_x trusted me when it came to introducing her to the ‘free-weight world’ and since then she’s never looked back. By documenting her workouts I have been able to pass these over as visual programmes for her to follow outside of our sessions and she now has a lot more confidence in her knowledge, ability and technique 👌🏽

Relying solely on cardio and lifting weights at bootcamp is a great start but it’s often not progressive enough or scaleable in the long term.

If your just looking to blow off some steam or get a little fitter that’s cool but if you’re aiming for longevity you’d do well to include some form of Strength training.

Whether that involves a TRX or a barbell.

A home workout or  Small Group PT with us.

Rather than obsessing over the scales... ⚖️ .
You’ll maintain muscle while dropping body fat becoming stronger and more confident in the process.

Theres a much better way to get in shape than forcing yourself to go jogging every other night and relying on hard dieting.
