השבוע, למשל, #המועדפים קיבלו ממני את יומן שיטה. 
היומן (שמומלץ בחום, ורכשתי את כל העותקים במחיר מלא) כולל בניה של תכנית רגשית ופרקטית לבניית מנהיגות עצמית והשגת יעדים.
.

כל אחד מהם בנה חזון. כתב מהו יום אידאלי שגרתי שבו הוא נמצא במיטבו. 
כתב את כל הטוב שיש לו, כלומר הבין והוקיר את מה שפועל לטובתו כבר עכשיו. 
חשב וכתב מה החלומות שלו, מה היה רוצה להשיג ואיך, מה התחושות שהוא מבקש להרגיש. 
אח"כ כתב את הפעולות להשגת היעדים - בהתחלה בכלליות ואז באופן ממוקד. 
וכמובן, גם פעולות להגברת אנרגיות - כיף וטיפוח הם חלק בלתי נפרד מההצלחה. .

הכל כתוב, ממורקר ונגיש.
לפי סדר חשיבות. 
בניית הרגלים לחיים.

זה לכאורה שואב זמן, אבל רק לכאורה. 
כל אחד מהם ישב איתי וכתב, תיקן ומיקד. 
בכל שבוע אוודא שהם צמודים ליומן, בכל פעם נהדק את הצרכים ואת הפעולות, כדי שיהפכו להרגל כייפי וטבעי.

I won't lie, it's been a little rough mentally and emotionally going through the transition from college to real life. Sounds stupid, but it's the truth. If I've learned anything in the last six months...is that you need an outlet in life. Doesnt matter what it is. Just something to take you away from the everyday crazy for a moment. For me, it's dance and the arts. I haven't been dancing at all, and to be honest it's sucks haha. But I have been trying to up my game going to the gym and really trying to take that time spent there as a form of meditation almost. I've always been thin, but lately I have been feeling stronger and definitely more hips. I don't usually post stuff like this, but I'm proud of my progress. • set the deadline to see your progress
There is no project until you set a deadline. The way you take control of your life is to make sure you've got a deadline for every goal you choose. • start today not “on Monday”

How excited are you to get up in the morning to go to work? Sometimes we classify ourselves as "not a morning person", but what if that's not really who you are and instead it's your situation or your job defining you. Sometimes we forget that most of our "happy" moments are moments that comes from that feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness, excitement! Do not put yourself right away in a box and do not limit yourself with those labels like "I'm not a morning person". On the opposite, go deeper and asses if what you're doing right now is what excites you the most to get up early and enjoy life.⠀

Hopping around your living room and doing light workouts is not going to help you maintain your results

Perhaps we should be looking at things from a different angle and start using our brain when it comes to workout / exercise design

Thanks to scientific research we know that we can achieve muscle hypertrophy (muscle building) by either lifting heavier weights for less reps or lighter weights for more reps under 1 condition 
MUSCULAR FAILURE

Therefore we know that if we want to be effective with our training we need be ticking following 3 boxes if we want to be effective and maintain our progress

1.✅ Design Exercise that will be appropriate to the skill level and experience of training individual

2.✅ Training individual is in a stable environment and is able to produce force (engage muscles) rather then creating forces which will go through the joints

3.✅ Training individual will reaching muscular failure

PS: remember that there’s much more to it than just a training. Don’t forget about your Nutrition/ Sleep/ Recovery/ etc

These can be everyday routines that hold so much meaning to you. It could be those things that require your careful attention and presence of mind. It could even be those small things that you just need to do that get you through your day with ease and even keep you sane!⁣

Some of my morning rituals, habits and routines that help to bring me joy and elated moments are things like remembering my adkhaars after Fajr. This always brings my heart a sense of comfort that my Lord will take care of my affairs and shield me with His protection. I love letting lots of sun light into the home as I thrive so much from this. ⁣
⁣
Reading the Quran straight after that sacred morning cup of black coffee with honey, gives me life and my morning just doesn’t feel complete without either of these two things. ⁣
⁣
Filling my home with the sweet smell of Bakhoor to create a pleasant ambiance always sets a tone in my home in the mornings and exercising daily to fully wake up my body to eliminate that sluggish feeling is a habit that I hope to maintain forever. ⁣
⁣
I love taking walks in parks and beaches to re freshen my mind and gain clarity as it gives me a sense of gratitude of the natural beauty in these things that Allah has created and brings me moments of warmth. ⁣

I’m so grateful to be able to have these rituals, habits and routines to make my day that little bit more manageable and pleasant amidst the mundane chores, daily challenges, tiresome tasks and difficult times that occur in my life. ⁣

Once upon a time... before social distancing..the last week or two have been very interesting. Businesses have folded or closed and for many entrepreneurs like us our incomes have disappeared overnight.  Putting aside their careers and oen interests thr vast majority of mums have diverted their energy towards, the most important thing, ensuring that the kids are feeling safe and secure so that the new normal is as positive as it can be. There is so much we have taken for granted for so long. There is so much that we have thought is important..and isn't...until now. The government and press give us fear and what we can't do...whilst the community rally together and create their own systems to keep everyone afloat. The power is within us to grow better, stronger and wiser from a place of love and kindness. We are all connected even if we cant see each other in person. So if your feeling isolated just close your eyes and know that your friends and loved ones are there in spirit.. and if you able reach out to them and make that connection stronger. We are all in this together and when the phoenix rises from the ashes we will achieve amazing things as a world.

Just SOME of the things you CAN do while sheltering in place. ❤👍💪⁣

1) Take up a new kind of exercise. Try hiking, rebounding, yoga, Zumba, HIIT...you name it, I know there's a YouTube video for it. (Don't try swimming unless you have a pool) 😉🏊‍♀️⁣
⁣
2) Write up meal plans. Meal prep and try some recipes you never have before. It's a great time to build your healthiest eating strategy. ⁣
⁣
3) Figure out ways to help that use your unique strengths. Can you sew? Look for the pattern to sew surgical masks and⁣
 where you can send them. Rally local friends for food pantries and help deliver. Can you provide pet care/walks for someone who has to work?⁣
⁣
⁣
4) Dig deep and manage your thoughts. Find the silver linings. Refuse to fuel negative spin cycles by googling too much, watching too much news and living on social media. How about meditation? What a perfect time to learn how if you're not already practicing. Constrain your brain!⁣

5) Relish in spending time with your family that you never expected. Savor it and use it as a way to love each other better. Be patient and kind with yourself and them.⁣

6) READ. Listen to positive podcasts. Enjoy a great series you never knew existed. Fill your mind with knowledge, humor, and all the good stuff. ⁣

7) Get outside. Daily. For as long as you can. It's the best medicine for depression and stir-craziness. ⁣

8) Draw, paint, write, sing....create in whatever way makes your heart thrum. Then share it with someone. Post it, mail it, snap it or video. We can still connect in so many powerful ways. ⁣

9) Shop online. Now I am not suggesting to overspend but let's not add to the economic downturn by refusing to spend. (Except toilet paper. Stop buying it all so we can flatten that curve too)⁣

10) Be grateful and figure out a way to express it. From the doctors in ICU to the grocery store checker people are banding together to slow down the spread of COVID-19. Tell them you appreciate them. Send a letter, send an email. If you go to the store, say THANK YOU. ⁣

For this transformation Tuesday, shift your focus for success. Transform your habits and systems to transform yourself.

One of the habits I’ve implemented recently is more time spent reading and learning. My current book ‘Atomic Habits’ gave some brilliant insights that I want to share. Rather than focusing on your end GOAL focus on the systems that get you there. 
Goals = results
Systems = processes 
Goals are our vision, our focus point and provide directions. Our systems and habits get us to this point. Often, when we have a long way to go, the journey can seem daunting. We don’t see the daily changes and it can be disheartening. So, rather than thinking about how far you have to go, take it one day and one step at a time. If you are consistent with your habits, you will see change. 
Top habits for refining your physique:

Training (periodisation and load; track the programs you use, will use and weights lifted for progression)

Nutrition (planning, prep and food choices. Track calories, macros, spend time every week planning and prepping meals and follow a balanced approach with micro and calorie dense food choices)

Steps (have daily goals and track with a watch or app)

Sleep (have a sleep routine each evening, aim for 8 hours, use supplements like magnesium to aid in winding down the mind) -

Tracking food, training, weight, period, photos will give you data to compare and adjust each week, help you learn what is and isn’t working for your body and progress and provides clear points of focus each day.

Mentality (journaling, meditation, mindfulness. Track your thoughts, your daily wins, triggers and how to overcome these, your emotions and have habits in place for good and bad days)

Lasting change happens by us making the choice NOT just to act once…but to LIVE in the action over and over again.

And when you think about living within an act, not just doing something, you actually create a shift in your mindset. You see that who you want to be is who you have to become in every moment.

And that’s why we struggle with change, because we want it to be a one-time thing, we want it to be one and done. We want the ease of change without the process of change, and thus we disillusion ourselves saying it wasn’t meant to be, I can’t change, I’m always meant to be this way, it’s just my luck…or any other excuse we can use to get us out of doing the consistent work of acting and believing a certain way.

And that’s how a habit will stick, we surpass doing things ONLY in the physical, and we reprogram the mind to know that this is our new home…this is the place our habits and mindset resides now—that place that EVERY thought, EVERY word, and EVERY action aligns with this new pattern.

Why is it so important? 
Creating clarity around your health journey is key to making a successful transformation. It keeps both  excuses, procrastination, and lack of motivation away and makes the journey so much more effortless. 
So what can you do? 
1. Get clear on the exact reason for your goals. That includes your personal and emotional reason for your wanting to change your habits. Be clear on your why. 
2. Get very specific on HOW your new habit change will look like in your day to day life. Example: I am going to go out for a walk for 30 min every day in the morning around the lake by my house. It specific with time, place, the location etc. 
3. Get clear on both your short term and long term goals and BE REALISTIC. That one is important! We tend to overestimate how fast things will change and then we loose motivation. Your body and mind is fantastic but it needs time to adjust and reroute. When it does it will be worth it! 
4. Get clear on your backup plan. What will you do when lack of motivation sweeps in? What is your go to move? What will motivate you again? 
The clearer you get the easier and less energy you need to put it in to take action each and every day. Your journey will include a trial and error period. It’s natural and a part a vital part for designing the best habits and health routine that work for you! It’s a part of the process. So get clear, get started and enjoy the ride!!
