The Perfect Pancake Recipe for this Sunday morning!  Level-1 Pumpkin Pancakes  Ingredients: 4 Egg Whites 1 Cup Pumpkin Purée 2 Cups Level-1 Pumpkin Spice Latte 1 Tsp Cinnamon 1 Tsp Baking Powder 2 Tbsp Butter for Cooking  Instructions: 1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together 2. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large frying pan over medium heat 3. Add pancake batter (about 1/4 cup) and allow to cook for 3 to 4 minutes 4. When the batter starts to bubble, flip the pancake and cook for another 1 to 3 minutes  Macros: makes about 4 servings  Serving size : 2 pancakes Fat : 8 grams Carbohydrates : 10 grams Protein : 22 grams #iam1stphorm

Proper post workout is almost as important as the workout itself. When done correctly, you can knock days off from your recovery time as well as get you seeing results quicker. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Proper post workout requires two things, a high glycemic carb and a rapid assimilating protein. The carb will spike insulin (a storage hormone) which will act as a transport system for the protein, shuttling it into the muscle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When it comes to post-workout nutrition, the quicker the better. This is why it’s the one time where it’s not better to eat a whole food meal because of the amount of time it takes to digest food.  Also something to consider if you’re “afraid” of carbs is that, your body will convert the protein into glucose and store it as glycogen. That’s because your body’s first instinct is to replenish glycogen stores. It’s in survival mode so it will take whatever it can get to replenish muscular energy. The number on the scale means very little…  Week 3 of the #mytransphormation Challenge is upon us and you might not being seeing much progress when it comes to the number on the scale.  You might have only lost 1 to 2 pounds or none at all…  We are here to tell you that is perfectly okay. Don’t do get discouraged by the scale moving very little.  The number on the scale should not be how you determine success or lack of success from the effort you put in.  It’s important to understand that the goal is to maintain lean muscle tissue as you’re trying to lose body fat which can cause the scale to not change that much or in some cases go up.  This is why we see great picture Transphormation’s while the number on the scale hasn’t moved much.  For @emily_kayser_ the scale has moved 2 pounds down but when you look at her before and after photos, you see amazing progress! Great job Emily!  Things like progress pictures, body measurements, the way your clothes are great ways to make sure your staying on track when you don’t see the scale moving. #iam1stphorm

You had me at Tiramisu! 😍  Tiramisu Protein Pancakes🥞 What you’ll need: 🥞Pancakes:  1 cup kodiak cakes power cakes mix 1.5 scoop Vanilla Level-1 protein powder 1 cup strong coffee, brewed 1 tsp cocoa powder 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp butter (optional) 2 packets stevia 🍥Filling/Topping: 1 tbsp light cream cheese, room temperature 1/4 cup fat free cool whip 1 tbsp Vanilla Ice Cream Level-1 protein powder  Directions for pancakes: In a large bowl, sift together kodiak cakes mix, level-1, cocoa powder, and stevia. Add in coffee, egg, vanilla extract and butter; mix until smooth. Spray griddle or pan with non-stick spray and place on stove over medium heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/2 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and set aside.  Directors for filling/topping: In a medium size bowl mix light cream cheese, 1/8 cup of fat free cool whip and level-1 until evenly combined. Fold in remaining cool whip into combined.  Layer pancakes with filling and add leftover to top them off! Optional: Dust with cocoa powder and confectioners sugar. Serves 2.
